Abstract

Malay village is located around the village of Jatinegara that originally inhabited by the Malay Peninsula immigrants from Malacca (now Malaysia). Position Jatinegara a very strategic area for a band meeting between various public transport to move around the corner of Jakarta and the increasing urbanization of society to Jakarta, causing the increasing population density in Kampung Melayu. Immigrants who come from outside Jakarta with the capacity and limited membership can not afford to buy land in Jakarta that the higher price, then they live and develop semi-permanent houses on land on the outskirts of the outskirts like rail-rail and river bantaran. The larger number of immigrants already caused them to develop their home by the time the Ciliwung. Higher density region awakened from time to time accompanied by a decrease environmental quality. To describe how patterns of development of Kampung Melayu retreat from Holland to the present time and discover the factors that cause the development pattern occurs then this study was conducted. Abstract

Basically, Cities is human life expression that is manifested in the form of mass and space. According to Eko Budiardjo, cities is a stage of memory, a reflection of history from the citizen visually. In other hand, Historian Arnold Toynbee wrote that history itself is not important, it is important what people think this history. A true from interpretation above that idea or image of building is the same important as the building, so that it causes space consist of physical space and conceptual space. User perception to visual qualities of urban environment where he lives, describes user comprehension to the physical environment and then it becomes basic requirements of user psychology. Today Kayutangan Corridor is one of commerce district in the central city of Malang with its characteristic of colonial buildings. Activity occuring at Kayutangan Corridor is trading and serving activities as prime motivator of district. Beside that there are many public facilities to scale city. Kayutangan Corridor as a distric of design product that was a inheritence of Colonial government previously had been very harmonious. Emerging new buildings with modern architecture style and no environmental contex have caused to descend visual quality and to be lost identity taste for user. Objective of research is identification of design to describe how environment communicates messages for users, identification conformity of visual messages of design with users perception, and identification product of person perception and the influence to user response to the physical environment. Research is did with descriptive method by observation and using cognitive map as basic of analisis. Research about the users perception to environmental, will be expected to become point of departure planning and designing of corridor in the future. Key words : Visual quality of urban environment, users perception.

Abstract

Less interaction between citizen caused of materialistic lifestyle impact the down of citizens’ solidarity and concertinity for their environment. According to Daldjoeni (1982:28), urbanization has replaced the primary relationship into secondary, which make the relationship between citizen was unstressed, mutual cooperation diminished and solidarity was lost. If this condition permitted, it will emerged many problems inside the community such as the security problems. Public open space in a region can be functioned as a center of orientation,an interaction tools and region identity which has interaction activity of the citizen culture. In fact, many public open space did not function optimally, sometimes even abandoned. It was getting worse by the lack of public open space as the impact of the converted urban infrastructures, which make the expectation for interaction between citizen was not realized. This research will be written in descriptive method which aim to discover how big is the role of public open space which is in descending quality and area to solidarity and concertinity of the inhabitant of many housing in some regions in Jakarta. The conclusion is that the existence of public open space which is in descending quality and area did impact to the descending of the solidarity and concertinity of citizens. To increase the solidarity and concertinity of the inhabitant of housing is by preparing good facilities of public open space,by increasing the quality of the public open space and also by doing the management with the base of the inhabitant of housing’s participants. Abstract

Under Regulation 38 and 41 of 2007, states that children must become a business issue provincial and regency / city. According to Revelation Hartomo, Deputy Growth, Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, said the City Proper Child program (KLA) is necessary for the district / city, due to global changes that threaten the child in terms of religious, social and cultural, human embryos that are reliable and formidable determine the future of the nation, as well as the child's risk of becoming victims of violence, harassment and discrimination. The existence of children's playground as one of the indicators of child-friendly cities need to be investigated existence. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility assessment of the children's playground in the number (quantity) and quality that will be achieved from the perspective of urban development of child-friendly cities. The target is to provide recommendations to the government on the needs of the children's playground in Depok area both in terms of quantity and quality in order to reach the Depok City of Eligible Children. The method used is to conduct a field survey and documentation of observations and interviews to see more detailed conditions. In conclusion existence Tapos playground in the district of Depok City has not facilitated standardized per RW Eligible Children ie there should be a playground. Needs to be cooperation between the government, and society in fulfillment staholder playground facilities in order to achieve the Depok City of Eligible Children.
