Abstract

Virtual Communities of Practice (VCoP) in the era of digital transformation have become a strategic asset for organizational knowledge management. Public relations play a crucial role as communication managers; however, operational standards integrating digital norms remain fragmented. Public relations play a crucial role as communication managers, but operational standards that integrate digital norms into this role remain fragmented. This study aims to build an ontology model capable of mapping the structure of digital norms. It also seeks to define the functional dynamics of public relations' role in moderating knowledge flows in a VCoP. This study uses an ontology engineering methodology consisting of the stages of specification, knowledge acquisition, conceptualization, logic formalization, and evaluation. Knowledge is acquired from the literature on knowledge management, digital citizenship, and strategic communication theory. This model is formalized using predicate logic in the form of axioms to describe interactions between entities. This study produces an ontology model consisting of four main classes: actors, digital norms, knowledge activities, and information assets. The functional dynamics of this model are mapped through five main axioms, three of which define the role of public relations. These axioms include the role of gatekeeper through the validity axiom, law enforcer through the legal intervention axiom, and facilitator through the social stimulation axiom. The evaluation results show that this ontology is able to answer competency questions related to information governance in virtual communication. This mapping proves that the role of public relations is shifting from mere moderators to information architects who ensure the security and credibility of organizational knowledge. Practically, this model can be adopted by organizations as a logical basis for developing decision support systems in community moderation and the preparation of structured ethical guidelines.

Abstract

This research aims to determine research trends in library services through the use of institutional repositories. This research was conducted in April 2024 by searching through the Scopus database with the keywords library services and institutional repositories. The search result data was processed and analyzed descriptively using the VOSViewer application to determine the bibliometric map of this research. The research results show that the development of library service research through the use of institutional repositories with bibliometric analysis indexed by Scopus from 1982 to 2023 has increased significantly but fluctuated. The journal that most publishes this research is OCLC Systems And Services. The most productive researcher writing this research was Joachim Schöpfel. The institution that publishes the most research is the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The most country that publishes this research is the United States. The most common type of document from this research is in the form of articles. The dominant field is Social Sciences. Through network visualization, relationships between scientific concepts and 9 clusters can be identified. The density and network visualization shows that in the development of this research there are still opportunities for further research.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of consumer trust in the relationship between cultural factors and the purchase intention of Chinese Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Jakarta, Indonesia. While global EV adoption is often analyzed through techno-economic lenses, this research addresses a critical gap by investigating the under-explored socio-cultural dimensions that shape consumer behavior in emerging markets. Framed by an integrated theoretical approach combining Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Reception Theory, the study explores how local cultural values such as collectivism, uncertainty avoidance, and social status filter the acceptance of Chinese EV technology. A qualitative case study methodology was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with nine key informants from multi-sector backgrounds (consumers, dealers, manufacturers, and government representatives). Thematic analysis was conducted to interpret the data. The findings reveal that while Jakarta consumers perceive Chinese EVs as useful due to economic and environmental benefits (perceived usefulness), adoption is significantly hindered by low perceived ease of use, primarily due to inadequate charging infrastructure and service networks. More importantly, cultural factors profoundly shape purchase intention: collectivist values emphasize social validation and peer influence, while high uncertainty avoidance fosters scepticism towards foreign product quality and safety. Consumer trust, built through social proof, hands-on experience, and reliable after-sales service, emerges as a critical mediating variable between these cultural perceptions and the final purchase decision. The study concludes that the acceptance of Chinese EVs in Jakarta is not merely a function of technological utility but a complex negotiation within the local cultural context. Effective market strategies must therefore adopt a multidimensional approach, integrating transparent quality assurances, culturally resonant communication, community-based marketing, and supportive government policies to build trust and align the product with local social values. This research contributes to cross-cultural marketing and technology acceptance literature by emphasizing the centrality of trust and cultural reception in the adoption of innovative foreign products in emerging markets.

Abstract

Art archives hold a crucial role in the production of knowledge and the writing of art history. In Indonesia, however, the management and accessibility of art archives remain uneven, resulting in significant gaps within art historiography. This article examines how art archives function not merely as repositories of documentation, but as cultural practices and public knowledge infrastructures that shape the conditions of art history writing. Using a qualitative approach, this study combines literature review with case studies of selected archival initiatives in Indonesia, including the Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA), Pusat Dokumentasi Salihara, and Dicti Art Laboratory. The findings reveal that the limited availability and accessibility of art archives contribute directly to the fragility of Indonesian art historiography, while independent and community-based archival initiatives have played a vital role in addressing this gap by activating archives through exhibitions, educational programs, and research-based curatorial practices. The article further highlights how these initiatives reposition archives from private or institutional storage into the public sphere, enabling new forms of interpretation and engagement. A comparative reflection on archival practices in Singapore demonstrates how the institutional integration of archives can strengthen research, collection development, and public access simultaneously. This study argues that strengthening Indonesian art historiography requires not only new scholarly interpretations, but also sustained attention to archival practices, governance, and access. By situating art archives as active sites of knowledge production rather than passive historical traces, this article underscores their significance in shaping more inclusive and sustainable narratives of Indonesian art history.
