Abstract

A multiple regression approach was applied in this study to predict the Turbidity value of standard water in a water treatment plant. Turbidity is a level of cloudiness in water due to the presence of particles or microorganisms. Turbidity in standard water did not affect human health in terms of hazardous, even though it represents poor quality water. Water treatment plants reduce the cloudiness in water by applying the chlorination process. There are three independent variables of water quality involved to predict turbidity value. They are PH, color-spectrum, and electrical conductivity. The correlation among variables was checked before conducting multiple regression. Color-spectrum has the highest correlation with turbidity. The stepwise approach remains two independent variables involved in multiple regression equation, color-spectrum and electrical conductivity with the value of   R-square equal to 0,97. Meaning that the two variables have the ability to explaining variations in turbidity up to 97 %.

Abstract

Ketersediaan bahan baku yang tepat menjadi suatu keharusan demi menjamin kelancaran proses produksi. Industri pengolahan air  memiliki pengendalian persediaan yang kurang baik sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kekurangan ataupun kelebihan persediaan dimana hal itu dapat mengakibatkan penumpukan persediaan yang berisiko merugikan perusahaan. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif hasil perhitungan statistik. Pendekatan kuantitatif pada penelitian ini menghasilkan pengendalian bahan baku optimal menggunakan Continuous Review Model. Model pengendalian persediaan yang dikembangkan melalui Continuous Review Model memiliki tiga variabel keputusan dan satu fungsi tujuan. Variabel keputusan model diantaranya ukuran lot pemesanan, titik pemesanan ulang (r) dan persediaan pengaman (Ss). Fungsi tujuan model adalah ongkos total persediaan. Hasil pengembangan model pengendalian persediaan Continuous Review Model memberikan solusi yang optimal bagi perusahaan karena mampu meminimalkan ongkos total persediaan bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar Rp.67.782.020.. Dengan jumlah persediaan bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar 211.156Kg dan. Titik pemesanan kembali (r) bahan baku aluminium sulfat sebesar 15.207Kg. Untuk persediaan pengaman (Ss) bahan baku ethylene sebesar 2.838Kg.
