Abstract One of the most problematic problems faced by South African Lesbians is corrective rape phenomenon. This action is done by particular people to cure and make them being real South African Women. Real South African Woman is when a woman turns to be heterosexual, a mother and taking care of children. It is believed that it is not a humanisctic action and threats the lesbian security. As an unsolved problem, lesbian is being alienated when it occurs. Lesbian cannot access security because government does not consider this problem seriously. In fact, South Africa is one of the most progressive countries in glorifying human right idea. It is proven by 1996 South African Constitution which forbids discrimination based on personal identity preferences, especially sexual orientation. In this case, this study will analyze threats of corrective rape phenomenon toward human security, specifically lesbians by using liberal feminist theory. It is more interesting to use the theory because this phenomenon relates to gender-based violence which becomes the concern of feminists. The analysis is about how it can happen. It uses government points of view on how government works in practical level leading to that process.

Abstract .African Union Peacekeeping Operation in Darfur conflict or more known as African Mission in Sudan (AMIS) is one of African Union’s efforts to resolve the conflict in Darfur. This mission aimed to stop the ongoing violence between the government of Sudan and rebellious groups in Darfur that had caused the deaths of thousands of civilians since 2003. The Darfur conflict was originated from a competition due to the lack of natural resources; however, over the years, conflict Darfur evolved into a conflict regarding equality between two major groups in Africa, that is, Africans and non-Africans. Darfur is a state under the regional organization of African Union, so the African Union felt to have the responsibility to intervene the conflict in Darfur. African Union’s decision to intervene the conflict was prompted by African Union’s article that stated that African Union has the right to intervene a member of the union if in the case of genocide, war or crimes against humanity. AMIS started its operation in July 2004 and consisted of about 150 military armies. However, through the years AMIS continuously experienced an increase in the number of military components and in 2007 AMIS had 7000 military personnel in Darfur. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of AMIS in resolving the Darfur conflict. The research used deductive method

Abstract

The Irish Backstop is a protocol in the 2018 (rejected) draft of the Withdrawal Agreement, which would leave the UK (in general) in the EU Customs Union and Northern Ireland (in particular) in some aspects of the European Single Market, until a solution is found to prevent hard borders. The aim is not to compromise the Good Friday Agreement and to maintain the integrity of the European Single Market. It will enter into force only if no other solution exists by the end of the (agreed upon) transition period, and will remain in effect until such a solution is found and agreed to be practical. However, the backstop policy was rejected by the British Parliament which resulted in the resignation of Theresa May as British Prime Minister. By using constructivism and postfunctionalism theory, the author analyzes the reasons for the British Parliament's rejection of the Backstop Policy.
