Abstract

Polygamy is one problem in marriages among the most controversial debates at once. Polygamy is rejected with a variety of arguments normative, psychological, and even always associated with injustice gander. Islam has given the conditions on the demand of a Muslim who practice polygamy is justice to himself that he would do justice to his wives in terms of food, clothing, and living (physical and spiritual). But if he is less sure of himself to be able to do justice to his wives, he was not allowed to practice polygamy.

Abstract

Biological knowledge holding a very important role in following the times. The concept itself is to discuss about development of science processes and natural events of the standpoint of science as well as contained in the Quran. Phenomenally science can be seen as a product, the process and paradigm of ethics (attitudes and value) in the processes that require a proof, so that will be verified in accordance with the concept, law and supported theories. Not only that, but it also discusses about how the process and the study of science which summarized in a group of physical and chemical science as well. Along with the times, former beliefs which hold the main role in the process of the mindset of human has eliminated, such as public confidence in the ancient times to the phenomenon of natural, for example, the process of the occurrence of rain. It was believed as an expression of God is crying, as witnessed his servants „acts on the earth. Pengetahuan biologi memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Konsepnya sendiri membahas tentang proses-proses perkembangan ilmu dan kejadian-kejadian alam baik dari sudut pandang ilmu pengetahuan maupun yang tertuang dalam Al-Qur‟an. Ilmu secara fenomenal dapat dipandang sebagai produk, proses dan paradigma etika (sikap dan nilai) dalam proses-prosesnya yang memerlukan sebuah pembuktian, sehingga akan teruji kebenarannya sesuai dengan konsep, hukum dan teori-teori pendukungnya. Tidak hanya itu tetapi juga akan dibahas bagaimana proses dan kajian dengan ilmuilmu yang terangkum dalam kelompok physical science dan ilmu-ilmu kimia juga. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman kepercayaan-kepercayaan yang dahulunya memegang peranan yang utama dalam proses pola pikir manusia juga telah dapat dihilangkan, seperti kepercayaan masyarakat pada zaman dahulu terhadap penomena alam misalnya, proses terjadinya hujan, dipercayai sebagai ungkapan Tuhan sedang menangis, karena menyaksikan perbuatan hambanya dipermukaan bumi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of local wisdom from Kerinci into chemistry learning by utilizing an ethnochemistry approach. The background of the research focuses on the importance of contextual learning in facilitating the understanding of chemistry concepts. The research method employed is a field study with a qualitative approach and descriptive design. The study involves chemistry teachers from SMA Negeri 7 Kerinci and the community of Koto Tuo Pulau Tengah village as informants. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique applied is the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The main findings of the research indicate that Kerinci's local wisdom, such as the use of turmeric, betel leaves, betel lime, jackfruit leaves, and banana peels, has significant relevance to chemistry material and can be integrated to enhance students' understanding. Teachers can create context-based lesson plans that link theoretical knowledge to practical examples, allowing students to grasp the real-world relevance of chemistry.

Abstract

Critical thinking and argumentation skills play an important role in influencing students' level of self-efficacy in the biology learning process. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative method with a 2 x 2 factorial design. Data were analyzed using SPSS software to present descriptive statistics of critical thinking skills with arguments on self-efficacy, as well as testing the inter-subject effects of critical thinking skills with arguments on self-efficacy. The research results indicate that there is a significant difference between critical thinking skills and argumentation in influencing the level of self-efficacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) which states that there is no interaction between critical thinking skills and argumentation in influencing self-efficacy, is rejected. The research conclusion confirms that there is a significant interaction between critical thinking skills and argumentation in influencing self-efficacy. This interaction follows an ordinal relationship pattern which is depicted almost at the intersection of the lines between the high and low groups, indicating the influence of critical thinking skills and argumentation on self-efficacy.

Abstract

Kenduri Sko is one of the sacred traditional traditions of the people of Dua Luhah Pendung, Kerinci Regency, which is rich in cultural values and local knowledge, especially in the use of traditional plants. The ethnobotanical knowledge inherent in this ritual reflects local wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation, but now faces challenges due to modernization and diminished interest of the younger generation. This community service activity aims to preserve ethnobotanical knowledge through participatory education and mapping of traditional plants used in Kenduri Sko. The methods used include interviews with indigenous and community leaders, documentation of plant types, and educational training for local youth and students. The results of the activity showed an increase in public awareness of the importance of local plant conservation as well as the formation of digital maps and simple catalogs of plants that play a role in traditional ceremonies. This program is expected to be the first step in maintaining the sustainability of local culture and biological resources as part of the ecological and social identity of the Kerinci people.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi minat belajar siswa dalam konteks integratif antara Biologi dan Matematika di dua sekolah menengah atas yang berbeda. Metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif dan komparatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari 180 siswa kelas XII. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Kuesioner Integrasi Sains dan Matematika atau Science and Mathemaics Integrated Questionnaire (SMIQ). Instrumen terdiri dari 20 pernyataan yang terbagi menjadi minat Biologi, minat Matematika, dan minat Matematika dan Biologi. Selain itu terdapat satu pernyataan jebakan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan validitas respon siswa. Konsekuensinya adalah jumlah data yang dianalisis menjadi lebih sedikit, yaitu 120 siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada tingkat sedang, dengan nilai rata-rata sekitar 2.7 dari skala 4. Meskipun terdapat sedikit perbedaan antara dua sekolah, perbedaan tersebut tidak signifikan secara statistik. Kesimpulan menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang menarik dan keterlibatan faktor internal siswa dalam meningkatkan minat belajar mereka. Saran untuk penelitian lanjutan mencakup eksplorasi lebih lanjut terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar siswa serta pelatihan yang lebih baik bagi guru dalam mengintegrasikan mata pelajaran sains dan matematika. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang minat belajar siswa dalam konteks pembelajaran integratif.

Abstract

Minuman kawa yang dihasilkan dari daun kopi merupakan minuman tradisional yang popular dikalangan masyarakat Kerinci khususnya di Kecamatan Air Hangat Timur desa Sungai Abu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aspek etnobotani dalam proses pengolahan minuman kawa dengan fokus kepada potensi sebagai sumber pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang melibatkan observasi, wawancara dan pengumpulan dokumentasi yang dilakukan secara mendalam kepada masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa prosedur pengolahan minuman kawa terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu: Pengumpulan daun, pengeringan, pengasapan, pengemasan, pelarutan dan penyajian. Meskipun proses pengolahan daun kopi menjadi minuman tradisional mencerminkan tradisi lokal yang telah tumbuh selama bertahun-tahun, namun cara kita menikmati kopi tetap tidak pernah berubah dari dulu sampai sekarang. Tradisi pembuatan dan penyajian minuman kawa di Kecamatan Air Hangat Timur desa Sungai Abu memiliki nilai ilmiah yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran biologi yang diimplementasikan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam bidang dan kajian yang lainnya.
