Abstract

Digital twin-based learning is increasingly relevant in vocational technology education because it enables students to observe machine behavior, simulate industrial faults, and practice maintenance-troubleshooting in a safe and repeatable environment. However, its educational effectiveness cannot be judged solely by technological sophistication or visual realism. This study examines stakeholder perspectives on an objectives-oriented evaluation of digital twin-based learning for industrial maintenance-troubleshooting competence. Grounded in objectives-oriented evaluation, competence-based assessment, stakeholder-informed interpretation, and curriculum alignment, the study employed a qualitative evaluative design involving students, instructors, laboratory technicians, program managers, alumni, and industry representatives. Data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observations, document analysis, and digital learning-log analysis. The findings reveal four interrelated evaluation dimensions: objective clarity, learning alignment, assessment quality, and stakeholder usefulness. Digital twin-based learning was considered educationally meaningful when learning outcomes were translated into observable performance indicators, authentic industrial scenarios were validated by stakeholders, and students engaged in progressive diagnostic tasks supported by process-based assessment. Stakeholders also identified several implementation challenges, including instructor readiness, platform reliability, cognitive overload, limited sensory realism, and fragmented assessment practices. This study contributes a stakeholder-informed evaluative framework for digital twin-based learning and provides practical guidance for strengthening curriculum alignment, assessment quality, instructor preparation, and continuous improvement in vocational technology education.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi telah banyak dimanfaatkan dibidang pendidikan untuk membantu persiapan maupun proses belajar mengajar. Media penyebaran informasi berbasis website atau dikenal dengan web profil sekolah seringkali dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan daya tarik masyarakat terhadap sekolah tertentu. Namun, masih banyak sekolah yang belum menggunakan media tersebut karena berbagai faktor. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk: (1) Mengembangkan web profil yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah; (2) Melakukan pengujian kelayakan web profil yang dikembangkan dengan standar ISO/IEC 25010 pada karakteristik functional suitability, performance efficiency, dan usability. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan waterfall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Web profil sudah memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna dengan menyediakan fitur untuk melihat informasi profil sekolah, informasi ppdb, informasi akademik, ekstrakurikuler, galeri, berita, selain itu juga dapat mengunduh dokumen dan mengirimkan komentar; (2) Web profil sudah memenuhi standar kualitas ISO/IEC 25010 dengan hasil pengujian functional suitability sebesar 100% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, pengujian performance efficiency dengan nilai rata-rata performance sebesar 86,2%, structure sebesar 91,5%, dan load time sebesar 1,76s dengan kategori “Baik”, dan pengujian usability sebesar 84,48% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”.

Abstract

The integration of Deep Learning approaches into Project-Based Learning in vocational education, particularly for developing Green Entrepreneurship Competency, remains underexplored. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of Deep Learning-based Project-Based Learning in improving the Green Entrepreneurship Competency of Grade XI–XII students in the Computer and Network Engineering Department at SMK Negeri 1 Kabupaten Sorong. A quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design was employed, involving 184 students and 64 teachers. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The findings revealed a significant improvement in Green Entrepreneurship Competency, with the average score increasing from 53.97% in the pre-test to 72.60% in the post-test (gain = 18.63; p < 0.001; Cohen’s d = 0.83). The Green Entrepreneurial Intention dimension showed the highest improvement, while Ecological Awareness demonstrated the strongest correlation with the quality of implementation. Regression analysis identified the quality of Deep Learning-based Project-Based Learning implementation as the strongest predictor of Green Entrepreneurship Competency (β = 0.412; R² = 0.621). This learning model proved effective and is recommended for sustainable implementation with adequate support in terms of media, teacher training, and institutional policies..
