Abstract

A collector has peculiarities in their behavior, they have an emotional bond with his collection, persistent in hunting collection and preserved in caring, worried about the loss and damage of his/her collections. This study focused on how the collector’s personality profile and behavior on collecting records by using the theory of the Big Five Personality Profile from McIntosh & Schmeichel. The subjects of research were collector of records aged 30 to 39 years old with the  level of social status was medium. By factors analysis through International Item Pool Representation (IPIP-NEO) questionnaire from Goldberg, this research found that  type personality mostly  were the openess to experience was high, Counscientiousness was high, Extraversion was high, Agreeableness was high, and Neuroticsm was low (O↑C↑E↑A↑N↓). Additionally the Collecting Behaviour type were the Passionate was high, the Inquisitive was low, the Hobby was high and the Expressive was high (P↑I↓H↑E↑).

Abstract

This research aims to study about correlation between parenting, religiusity and impulse buying among Bandung Islamic University students who join pesantren for bachelor candidate. This research used correlation research design involving 420 students of Bandung Islamic University who join pesantren for bachelor candidates of 2016. Subjects are between 18-21 years old from some faculties which are engineering, science, dakwah, communication, teacher training, ekonomics, law, syariah and psychology.   Result shows that 328 students are in impulse buying category. However, parenting and religiusity are not significant variables effecting impulse buying phenomena. Further research suggested to deepen parenting variable since related to impulse buying behaviour.

Abstract

Abstract. Roleplay is defined as an activity where someone parodies their idol. A roleplayer plays a character of his own. In this game everyone does not know the real identity of each, so someone must make their own character. In this community there are several players who use male sex characters even though in the real world he is a woman. Most of them are aged 18-24 years with jobs as students and private employees. Roleplayer in this study has been playing in this community for more than five years and the original self is very different from the virtual self. In these conditions, there is a mismatch of perceptions between Actual Self, Ideal Self, Ought Self and Virtual Self, this is referred to as Self Discrepancy (Higgins, 2000). This research uses descriptive analysis method to find out how Self Discrepancy in K-Pop Rollayer in the Entertiment Community 'x'. The measurement tool uses a questionnaire (SDQ) Self Discrepancies Quitionnaire on 28 roleplay players. The results showed that as many as 64.2% of subjects experienced high self discrepancy and 30% did not experience self discrepancy. Abstrak. Roleplay diartikan sebagai kegiatan dimana seseorang memparodikan idola mereka. Seorang roleplayer ada yang memainkan karakter buatannya sendiri. Dalam permainan tersebut setiap orang tidak mengetahui identitas asli masing-masing, sehingga seseorang harus membuat karakternya sendiri. Pada komunitas ini terdapat beberapa pemain yang menggunakan karakter berjenis kelamin laki-laki padahal di dunia nyata ia seorang perempuan. Kebanyakan dari mereka berusia 18-24 tahun dengan pekerjaan sebagai mahasiswa dan pegawai swasta. Roleplayer pada penelitian ini telah bermain di komunitas ini lebih dari lima tahun dan diri asli yang sangat berbeda dengan diri virtualnya. Dalam kondisi tersebut terjadi ketidakcocokan persepsi antara Actual Self, Ideal Self, Ought Self dan Virtual Self, hal ini disebut sebagai Self Discrepancy (Higgins, 2000). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui bagaimana Self Discrepancy pada Roleplayer K-Pop di komunitas Entertaiment ‘x’. Alat ukurnya menggunakan kuisioner (SDQ) Self Discrepancies Quitionnaire pada 28 pemain roleplay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 64.2% subjek mengalami self discrepancy tinggi dan 30% tidak mengalami self discrepancy.

Abstract

Abstract. The Covid-19 pandemic has made the implementation of Distance Learning (PJJ) in Indonesia no exception for students. Establishing relationships is one of the requirements so that the adaptation process of students on campus becomes easier. By fulfilling the needs of students in establishing relationships, it will bring up college belongingness to students. Students with high college belongingness are less likely to experience psychological problems such as loneliness. The purpose of this study was to see the close relationship between loneliness and college belongingness to students in Bandung during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research subjects were 400 students in Bandung. The measuring instrument used in this study is UCLA Loneliness Scale version 3 by D.W. Russel (1996) which was adapted by Distiyan (2020), and the measuring instrument of G. Arslan's College Belongingness Questionnaire (2020) which has been adapted to Indonesian. Based on data analysis using Spearman's rank, it was found that there was a negative relationship between loneliness and college belongingness with a low level of closeness. Abstrak. Pandemi Covid-19 membuat diberlakukannya Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) di Indonesia tidak terkecuali pada mahasiswa. Menjalin relasi menjadi salah satu kebutuhan supaya proses adaptasi mahasiswa di kampus menjadi lebih mudah. Dengan terpenuhinya kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam menjalin relasi akan memunculkan college belongingness pada mahasiswa. Mahasiswa dengan college belongingness tinggi akan lebih sedikit untuk mengalami masalah psikologis seperti loneliness. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat keeratan hubungan antara loneliness dengan college belongingness pada mahasiswa di Kota Bandung saat Pandemi Covid-19. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 400 mahasiswa di Kota Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah UCLA Loneliness Scale version 3 milik D.W. Russel (1996) yang diadaptasi oleh Distiyan (2020), dan alat ukur College Belongingness Questionnaire milik G. Arslan (2020) yang sudah diadaptasi ke Bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan menggunakan rank Spearman, diperoleh hasil terdapat hubungan negatif antara loneliness dengan college belongingness dengan tingkat keeratan yang rendah.

Abstract

Abstract. The world of K-Pop is currently booming in various fields, one of which is music. Music has become one of the most popular things which cause many individuals to idolize it. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence religiosity has on celebrity worship for fans of K-Pop fandom NCTzen. This research uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental causality research design with purposive sampling technique and the data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The analysis technique uses a regression test. The study involved 928 early adults within the NCTzen fandom. The religiosity scale is based on the theory of Glock & Stark with a total of 22 valid items with a reliability coefficient (α) of 0.874. The celebrity worship scale uses the Celebrity Attitude Scale from Maltby et al (2006) with a total of 23 valid items with a reliability coefficient (α) of 0.899. The results of this study state that religiosity has an influence on celebrity worship by 5%, while 95% is influenced by other factors. Religiosity in the NCTzen fandom is categorized as high and the worship of celebrities in the NCTzen fandom is in the aspect entertainment-social with a percentage of 91.6%. Abstrak. Dunia K-Pop belakangan ini sedang melambung tinggi dari berbagai bidang, salah satunya musik. Musik menjadi salah satu hal yang banyak digemari yang menyebabkan banyaknya individu mengidolakan hal tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh religiusitas terhadap celebrity worship pada penggemar K-Pop fandom NCTzen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian kausalitas non eksperimen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purpossive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis menggunakan uji regresi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 928 orang dewasa awal di dalam fandom NCTzen. Skala religiusitas berdasarkan teori Glock & Stark dengan jumlah 22 item valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas (α) sebesar 0,874. Skala pemujaan selebriti menggunakan Celebrity Attitude Scale dari Maltby et al (2006) dengan total 23 item valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas (α) sebesar 0,899. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa religiusitas memiliki pengaruh terhadap celebrity worship sebesar 5%, sedangkan 95% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Religiusitas di fandom NCTzen dikategorikan tinggi dan pemujaan terhadap selebriti pada fandom NCTzen berada pada aspek entertaiment-social dengan persentase 91,6%.

Abstract

Abstract. NCTzen early adults are found to still love many K-Pop celebrities and often use the internet in fangirling activities. K-Pop fans use the internet for hours and a day to access content about their idols in the form of photos, videos, articles and music through social media such as Twitter, Instagram, Lysn, Naver or other forms of platforms such as Youtube V Live. This includes excessive internet use and also leads to compulsive use of the internet. One of the big fandoms in Indonesia is NCTzens. NCTzens is a fan name of a South Korean boy group called NCT. The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of Celebrity Worship on Problematic Internet Use on NCTzen Indonesia members. The hypothesis proposed is that there is an influence of Celebrity Worship on Problematic Internet Use in early adult NCTzen Indonesia members. The hypothesis proposed is that there is an influence of Celebrity Worship on Problematic Internet Use on NCTzen Indonesia members. The study sample of 154 using purpossive sampling techniques, data collection was conducted using the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS, McCutcheon 2002) and Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2, Caplan 2010). Data analysis uses simple regression analysis techniques. Based on the results of statistical analysis obtained the regression coefficient value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a value of b = 0.602 and a value of R2 = 0.071 which means there is a positive influence of Celebrity Worhsip on problematic Internet Use is small. Abstrak. NCTzen dewasa awal ditemukan masih menggemari selebriti K-Pop banyak dan sering menggunakan internet dalam aktifitas fangirling/fanboying-nya. Fans K-Pop menggunakan internet dalam waktu berjam-jam satu harinya untuk mengakses konten mengenai idolanya dalam bentuk foto, video, artikel dan musik melalui media sosial seperti Twitter, Instagram, Lysn, Naver atau bentuk platform lain seperti Youtube V Live. Hal tersebut termasuk kepada penggunaan internet secara berlebihan dan juga mengarah kepada penggunaan internet yang kompulsif. Salah satu fandom besar yang ada di Indonesia adalah NCTzens. NCTzens merupakan nama penggemar dari boy group asal Korea Selatan yang bernama NCT. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Celebrity Worship terhadap Problematic Internet Use pada anggota NCTzen Indonesia dewasa awal. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat pengaruh Celebrity Worship terhadap Problematic Internet Use pada anggota NCTzen Indonesia. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 154 dengan menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS, McCutcheon 2002) dan Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2, Caplan 2010). Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik didapatkan nilai koefisien regresi 0,000 < 0,05 dengan nilai b=0,602 dan nilai R2 = 0,071 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang positif dari Celebrity Worhsip terhadap Problematic Internet Use yang kecil.

Abstract

Abstract. Lupus disease or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a long-term autoimmune disease that can cause problems such as physical pain, anxiety, stress, and feelings of worthlessness in people with lupus (Odapus) disease, thereby affecting their quality of life. Resilience is important in determining the quality of life for Odapus. This study aims to determine the effect of resilience on the quality of life of people with HIV in the city of Bandung. This research design uses a quantitative approach with Simple Regression Analysis. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. In this study, there were 20 respondents. Data was collected using a CD-RISC resilience questionnaire (Connor & Davidson Resilience Scale) and quality of life using a LupusQoL questionnaire (McElhone & WHOQOL group). The results showed that resilience had a significant positive effect on the Quality of Life for Odapus on aspects of physical health 37.2%, pain 33.3%, planning 55.4%, intimate relationships 20.8%, dependence 22.2%, emotional health 46.6%, self-image 51.6%, and fatigue 64.9%. So it can be concluded that if a person's resilience is high, it will also improve aspects of her quality of life. Abstrak. Penyakit lupus atau Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) adalah penyakit autoimun jangka panjang yang dapat menyebabkan masalah seperti nyeri fisik, kecemasan, stres, dan perasaan tidak berharga pada orang dengan penyakit lupus (Odapus) sehingga mempengaruhi kualitas hidupnya. Reseliensi menjadi penting dalam menentukan kualitas hidup Odapus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh resiliensi terhadap kualitas hidup pada Odapus di kota Bandung. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan Analisis Regresi Sederhana. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Dalam penelitian ini responden berjumlah 20 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuisioner resiliensi CD-RISC (Connor & Davidson Resilience Scale) dan kualitas hidup dengan angket LupusQoL (McElhone & WHOQOL group). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Resiliensi memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap Kualitas Hidup Odapus pada aspek kesehatan fisik 37.2%, rasa sakit 33.3%, perencanaan 55.4%, hubungan intim 20.8%, ketergantungan 22.2%, kesehatan emosional 46.6%, citra diri 51.6%, dan kelelahan 64.9%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika resiliensi seseorang tinggi maka akan meningkatkan juga aspek-aspek kualitas hidupnya.

Abstract

Abstract. BTS fans in Indonesia who are in their early adulthood describe their idol-loving behavior that leads to celebrity worship. However, since getting to know BTS, many fans have felt happiness and well-being in life or subjective well-being. This study aims to determine how much influence celebrity worship has on subjective well-being in early adult BTS fans. This study uses a quantitative method with a non-experimental causality research design with purposive sampling and data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The analysis technique uses regression test. This study involved 398 BTS fans in early adulthood. In measuring celebrity worship behavior in this study using the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) from Maltby et al. (2006) with 26 valid items with a reliability coefficient (α) of 0.944. Meanwhile, to measure SWB using the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) with a total of 5 valid items with a reliability coefficient (α) of 0.824 and a Positive Negative Experience Scale (SPANE) from Diener (2003) with 12 valid items, a reliability coefficient (α) of 0.853. The results showed that there was an influence between celebrity worship and subjective well-being of 5.3%, while 94.7% was influenced by other factors. Abstrak. Penggemar BTS di Indonesia yang berusia dewasa awal menggambarkan perilaku mencintai idolanya yang mengarah pada celebrity worship. Namun, semenjak mengenal BTS banyak penggemar yang merasakan kebahagiaan dan kesejahteraan hidup atau subjective well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar BTS dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian kausalitas non eksperimen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis menggunakan uji regresi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 398 penggemar BTS di usia dewasa awal. Dalam mengukur perilaku celebrity worship pada penelitian ini menggunakan Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) dari Maltby et.al (2006) dengan 26 item valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas (α) 0,944. Sedangkan untuk mengukur SWB menggunakan Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) dengan jumlah 5 item valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas (α) 0,824 dan Positive Negative Experience Scale (SPANE) dari Diener (2003) dengan 12 item valid koefisien reliabilitas (α) 0,853. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh antara celebrity worship dan subjective well-being sebesar 5,3% sedangkan 94,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

Abstract. Prevalence of alcohol use in early adulthood increased over the last few years, that is one of the factors that can influence the emergence of aggressive behavior in individuals. Alcohol use that leads to aggressive behavior is associated with emotional problems, such as lack of emotional awareness, poor emotional control, also difficulty identifying and expressing emotions, which is known as alexithymia. This study aims to gather empirical data on how much alexithymia has influence aggressiveness in alcohol users in Bandung. This study uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis technique which was conducted on 108 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) from R. Michael Bagby, James D.A. Parker, & Graeme J. Taylor (1994) and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnare (BPAQ-29) from Buss & Perry (1992). This study also use the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) screening and assessment to review the level of alcohol use from the WHO which has been adapted by Heru Yulianto (2018). The results showed that alexithymia had an effect on aggressiveness of 25.2% in alcohol users with a significance level of .000 < .05. The results of the influence means that alcohol users who have difficult to identifying and explaining their feelings to others, also having low levels of empathy and experiencing frustration have partly responsible to trigger aggressive behavior by hurting others physically and verbally, also difficulty controlling anger and frustration, and also lead to hostile attitudes such as easily jealous or suspicious to others. Abstrak. Meningkatnya prevalensi penggunaan alkohol pada dewasa awal selama beberapa tahun terakhir menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi munculnya perilaku agresivitas pada individu. Penggunaan alkohol yang memunculkan perilaku agresi ini berkaitan dengan masalah emosional, seperti kurangnya kesadaran emosi, kontrol emosi yang buruk, serta kesulitan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengekspresikan emosinya yang disebut sebagai alexithymia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris tentang seberapa besar pengaruh alexithymia terhadap agresivitas pada pengguna alkohol di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana yang dilakukan kepada 108 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) dari R. Michael Bagby, James D.A.Parker, & Graeme J.Taylor (1994) serta menggunakan alat ukur Buss-Perry Agression Questionnare (BPAQ-29) dari Buss & Perry (1992). Penelitian ini juga menggunakan skrining dan asesmen Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) untuk meninjau tingkat penggunaan alkohol dari WHO yang telah diadaptasi oleh Heru Yulianto (2018). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan alexithymia berpengaruh terhadap agresivitas sebesar 25,2% pada pengguna alkohol dengan taraf sigmifikansi .000 < .05. Besaran pengaruh tersebut memiliki arti bahwa pengguna alkohol yang kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi dan menjelaskan perasaanya kepada orang lain, serta memiliki tingkat empati yang rendah dan mengalami frustrasi, cukup berkontribusi dalam memunculkan perilaku agresi dengan menyakiti orang lain dalam bentuk fisik maupun verbal serta kesulitan dalam mengendalikan amarah dan memunculkan sikap permusuhan seperti mudah cemburu atau curiga terhadap orang lain.

The rapid development of technology provides many conveniences for its users, such as the existence of social media that makes it easier for individuals to interact, upload posts to share moments and information. On the other hand, social media also has a negative impact when its use is not wise, one of the negative effects is cyberbullying. The use of social media can be caused by personality, one approach to personality is the five factor personality. Through the five personality factors, their behavior in using social media can be illustrated. This study aims to see how personality influences (five personality factors) on cyberbullying behavior among social media users. The method used is quantitative with incidental sampling with a total of 159 respondents. This study uses the BFI-28 measuring instrument adapted by Ramdhani (2012) and the cyberbullying scale measuring instrument by Permatasari & Wu (2021) which refers to Willard's theory (2005). The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test. The results found that there was an influence of five personality factors on cyberbullying. The results showed that the extraversion trait had an effect of 7.42% on cyberbullying behavior, the neuroticism trait had an effect of 3.30% on cyberbullying behavior, the agreeableness trait had an effect of 2.29% on cyberbullying behavior, and the conscientiousness trait had an effect of 1.86% on cyberbullying behavior. Among these four traits, the extraversion trait is the highest which has the most significant influence on cyberbullying behavior. Keywords: Five Factor Personality, Cyberbullying, Social Media. Abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan banyak kemudahan bagi penggunanya, seperti adanya media sosial memudahkan individu untuk berinteraksi, mengunggah postingan untuk berbagi momen dan informasi. Disisi lain media sosial juga memiliki dampak negatif saat penggunaannya tidak bijak, salah satu dampak negatifnya adalah tindakan cyberbullying. Penggunaan media sosial dapat disebabkan oleh kepribadian, salah satu pendekatan dari kepribadian adalah five factor personality. Melalui five factor personality dapat tergambar ciri perilakunya dalam menggunakan media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh kepribadian (five factor personality) terhadap perilaku cyberbullying pada pengguna media sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan incidental sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 159 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur BFI-28 yang diadaptasi oleh Ramdhani (2012) dan alat ukur skala cyberbullying oleh Permatasari & Wu (2021) yang mengacu pada teori Willard (2005). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier berganda. Ditemukan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh five factor personality terhadap cyberbullying. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan trait extraversion berpengaruh sebesar 7.42% terhadap perilaku cyberbullying, trait neuroticism berpengaruh sebesar 3.30% terhadap perilaku cyberbullying, trait agreeableness berpengaruh sebesar 2.29% terhadap perilaku cyberbullying, dan trait conscientiousness berpengaruh sebesar 1.86% terhadap perilaku cyberbullying. Diantara keempat trait tersebut, trait extraversion merupakan yang paling tinggi yang memberikan pengaruh paling signifikan terhadap perilaku cyberbullying.
