Abstract

Fishermen are used to be in poverty or otherwise, that relates to them called the poorest of the poor. Indonesia is a maritime country whose about two-thirds of the total sea area with a full coastline length is 99,093 km. It classifies the traditional fishermen as a group of people in poverty with a height level of reliance on fishery resources. The study started in Bagan Deli Village, Medan Belawan District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. This research aims to find the issues that exist in them and resolving for them. The study uses a survey method with interview techniques. The fishermen of the respondents determine by the purposive method by the number of 43 people. Data analyzed in the Likert scale, which is to measures the perceptions, attitudes, and opinions by the respondents about an occurrence or their social phenomenon in Bagan Deli that keep in a questionnaire form. The results show that 13 questions ask respondents that defines all agreed, except for the questionnaire statements number 13 and 4 are Strongly Agree. Statement number 13 is ‘Do you agree if a fishery product processing in business group establishes in the Bagan Deli fishing environment?’ That is the highest-ranking with a total weight of 145, and the result is a score of 84.30% with an interpretation of the score Very Strong (Strongly Agree). The questionnaire for number 4 is 'Does environmental pollution cause a decrease in fishing and other types of fishing?', the second highest-ranking with a total weight of 138. And the result is 80.23% with an interpretation of the score Very Strong (Very Agree).Keyword : traditional fishermen, problems

Abstract

Solution of fabric softener contained cationic surfactant by type quaternary ammonium chloride compounds that harm aquatic life and the environment led to the death of fish. This reaserch intend to determine the level of attack power and influence of fabric softener toxicity to carp seed, this research was conducted on July − November 2013 in the Department of Agriculture and Marine Medan. Stages of testing include : a preliminary test, a definitive test to determine the LC50 until 96 hours and sublethal tests with various concentrations. The results showed of the preliminary test studies have upper threshold value ( N ) of 100 ppm and below the threshold value ( n ) 75 ppm. Test results obtained definitive 96 hour LC50 value of 87.10 ppm. The test results on the highest survival sublethal concentration of 2.61 ppm treatment that is equal to 80 % while the lowest survival at 7.84 ppm concentration and 46.66 %, the highest feed efficiency at treatment concentrations of 2.61 ppm is equal to 4.98 % and the lowest in the treatment of 1.55 % 7.84, and the highest growth rate in the treatment concentration of 2.61 ppm is 0.15 % while the lowest at treatment concentrations of 7.84 ppm at 0.05%. Water quality parameters were observed during the definitive test decreased DO 2.0 − 6.4 mg / l, the temperature increased 27.1 − 30.20C and pH decrease during each treatment concentration of 3 − 6.6 . Water quality parameters at sublethal test that does not decrease drastically DO range 5.2 − 7.6 mg/l, temperature range 27 − 290C and a pH range of 3.4 − 7.5 .Keywords : Fabric Softener, Cyprinus carpio L., toxicity

Abstract

The efficiency of freshwater resources utilization is need to improve in order to increase the production. The purpose of this research is to determine the stocking density of seeds that able to increase Nila growth and survive ability. This research used Nila Gesit with average length in 3,44 cm and average weight in 0,86 gram. Nila gesit was kept in aquarium sized 60 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm, fill with 32 L of water. The research design is complete random plan with 3 treatment and 3 repeatable. The treatment of stocking density are 2 seed/l, 4 seed/l, and 6 seed/l. The results during 28 days are : the highest value 2 seed/l of survival rate (78,65 %), the value of daily growth (3,12 %), and the value of absolute growth (1,07 cm). The result for highest feed conversion in found treatment 3 (6 seed/l) is 4,29. The result has shown that difference of density stock is very significantly affecting rate of daily growth and absolute growth. While degree of survival rate and feed conversion on this research hasn't affected the stocking density. Chemical factor of water quality during the research are : DO (disolved oxygen) 2,8 – 4,9 mg/l, pH 7,1 – 8,6, temperature 26,7 -28,2.Keywords : stocking density, nila gesit, survive rate, growth.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the content of Pb and Cu in the Belumai River basin as well as determine the quality of the river water raw water quality based on Belumai. This research was carried out in February-March, 2014 in the flow of the river Belumai, District of Tanjung Morawa. The number of the observed station point of 3 stations, with repetition as much as 3 times every 10 days. The observed parameters of physical-chemical parameters are waters, heavy metal content is analyzed using Atomic Abrsorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The content of heavy metals lead (Pb) in may on the water between 0,074-0,176 mg/L and heavy metals of copper (Cu) on the water between 0,186-0,423 mg/l. This results indicate that the heavy metal content of Pb and Cu in Belumai River flow has exceeded the quality standard by Government Regulation no. 82 of 2001.Keywords : Heavy metals Pb, Heavy metals Cu, Water, Sediment, Belumai River

Abstract

Chanos chanos is one of the consumed fish, and very populer in Indonesiapopulated, easy to growth and very cheap. These studies were give different ofprotein levels. The protein feed were used comercial feed with 30 % and 16 %composition of protein, the growth of fish were observed from june-august 2014 inthe Rawamas village Nurusalam subdistrict Aceh Timur regency. The analysis of datawere used SPSS Versi 22. The results showed that fish feed with protein 30 % highestbody weight than fish feed with protein 16 %, with regard to growth andconformation. Mean and standart error of growth highest body weight 56,4cm, lengthof 20,9 cm and water temperature range 28 – 29 c, ph 7 – 7,2 salinity 29,3 – 30 pptand do 6,66 – 6,79 mg/l.Keywords : Chanos chanos, Feed, Growth.

Abstract

Maskoki fish (Carassius auratus) is a type of fish that have other names which have a gold fish body shape ranging from red, yellow, green, black and silvery. As fish are included in the category of ornamental fish, then to produce the best maskoki fish, needed a good environment and foods high in nutrients. Good food nutrition will support color, good health. Color is one of the reasons ornamental fish demand by the public, so farmers need to retain the color of ornamental fish in particular by giving feed containing pigment. The work done to obtain a uniform bright colors in fish is added to the pigment in the feed source. Source of natural pigments can be obtained from flour carrot (Daucus carota). The purpose of this study was to determine the dose of carrot flour that can enhance the color of maskoki fish. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications, with doses of 0%, 1%, 3%, and 5% for 30 days. The addition of carrot powder through the feed can improve the color of maskoki fish. Giving carrot flour with a dose of 5% produces a brighter color than the other doses. Carrots Flour Addition on the feed had no effect on the weight and length maskoki goldfish.Keywords: Carassius auratus, maskoki fish, Daucus carota, color

Abstract

Sili Fish (Family: Mastacembelidae) can be characterized by an elongated proboscis down the snout. Family Mastacembelidae are divided into three genera namely Mastacembelus (61 species), Macrognathus (24 species), and Sinobdella (1 species). The Research on Sili Fish is still limited, even for the North Sumatra region has never been done before. Seruai River is one of the rivers in North Sumatra that obtained Sili Fish populations. This raserch aimed to determine the character of Morphological and Abundance of Sili Fish (Family: Mastacembelidae) in Seruai River. This research was conducted in August 2016. The result showed that Sungai Seruai only have two species of Sili Fish, They are Mastacembelus unicolor (yellow hue on the parallel roundly body, caudal fin separate from dorsal and anal fins) and Mastacembelus notophthalmus (there are black vertical lines on the muzzle area nearby the eye , caudal fin merges with the dorsal and anal fins). The abundance of Sili fish with the use of 0.15 ind/m² and 0.07 ind/m² nets are in station 1 and 3. The abundance value by using 2.13 ind/m² traps is only found in the station 2. Based on research, the mangrove ecosystem in Kelurahan Belawan Sicanang village consisted by nine speciesof mangrove, whichAcrotichum specium, Avicennia alba, Avicennia marina, bruguiera sexangula, Excoecaria agollocha, Lumnitzera littorea, Rhizopora stylosa, Soneratia caseolaris, Soneratia ovata.Generally, the density valuemost speciesof great valueisthe typeExocoecaria agollocha.The suitability index of mangrove ecosystem included into the category corresponding conditional (SB).There are two proposed location tracks, that waters track and the inlands track. Abstract

Tilavia is favorite fish consumsion by the people of indonesiaand it is very easy to cultivate because it has a sufficient level of the prospective development. The feed is a very important factor in the process enlargement fish. This research was conducted to determine the effect of feeding a mixture of pellets water kale on the growth of tilapia. Container maintenance of tilapia used mine concrate pols with 1 x 1 x 1 M2 of size and 50 liters of volume water for each pool.This research was conductedin August – November 2015 in the Binjai Town. The method user completely randomized design with treatment of pellets feed was + kale (1:3). The P1 treatment showed the best daily length growth and daily weight growth. The final result obtained the length of P1 treatment was 11,76 cm, P2 treatment was 10, 92 cm, P3 treatment was 9, 97cm, and the weight of P1 treatment was 13,15 gr, P2 treatment was 11,21 gr, P3 treatment was 9,66 gr. Abstract

Ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan salah satu komoditas air tawar yang memperoleh perhatian cukup besar dari pemerintah dan pemerhati masalah perikanan dunia, terutama berkaitan dengan usaha peningkatan gizi masyarakat di negara-negara yang sedang berkembang. Pakan pelet biasanya mengandung protein yang tinggi untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan berat rata-rata mutlak benih ikan nila dengan pakan tambahan minyak ikan pada pakan buatan 3,258 gram/ekor, lebih berat dari 2,837 dengan pakan standart. Pertumbuhan panjang rata-rata mutlak benih ikan nila dengan pakan tambahan minyak ikan 5,95 cm/ekor, lebih panjang dari 4,53 cm/ekor dengan pakan standart.nilai SR benih ikan nila dengan pakan minyak ikan sebesar 86,67%, lebih tinggi dari 84% dengan pakan standart. Nilai FCR benih ikan nila dengan pakan tambahan minyak ikan sebesar 0,774, lebih rendah dari 0,796 dengan pakan standart. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air pada fiber dengan tambahan minyak ikan pada kisaran suhu berkisar 26 - 30, DO 4-5, pH 6,5 – 6,9, dan pada fiber pakan standart berkisar suhu 27 - 29, DO 5 - 7, pH 6,7 - 7.
