Abstract

The waste water of copper board etching process in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) production is kind of heavy metal waste water, that is copper, which has not been treated yet. In order to prevent the environment contamination process the waste water should be treated before thrown to environment. The kind of waste water treatment that will be applied to the waste water with heavy metal content, specially copper metal (Cu) is electrolysis method.The experiment was done in laboratory scale. The batch electrolysis reactor was used in this experiment, with the copper as katoda and stainless steel as anoda. Electrolysis process was conducted with waste concentration variation that was equal to 124,16; 110,96 ; and 35,84 ppm.The result of the experiment shows that, the electrolysis methode could reduce copper concentration in the waste water of etching process. The biggest efficiency degradation for the variation of waste concentration was happened at waste concentration 35,84 ppm, that was equal to 100%, with end result equal to 0 ppm. Waste concentration equal to 124,16 of ppm its result 96,24 ppm, and for concentration 110,96 ppm was got by result 0,35 ppm.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang cukup berat di Kota Bandung adalah sampah plastik seperti di Kelurahan Pajajaran, Kecamatan Cicendo. Sampah tersebut sebagian besar belum dikelola dengan baik sehingga menimbulkan kerusakan lingkungan. Salah satu yang sulit diatasi adalah sampah plastik nonrecycleable seperti label kemasan botol air mineral, pembungkus makanan ringan, styrofoam dan lain-lain. Sampah-sampah ini kurang ekonomis untuk didaur ulang sehingga dibuang begitu saja ke Tempat Pembuangan Akhir atau dibakar di pekarangan. Di sisi lain, ada jenis sampah plastik yang mudah didaur ulang tapi nilainya kecil jika dijual tanpa dicacah terlebih dahulu, seperti yang dilakukan di bank sampah Astana Eyang. Permasalahan ini bisa diatasi dengan teknologi pirolisis untuk mengolah sampah plastik nonrecycleable menjadi minyak sintetis, yang bisa digunakan sebagai bahan bakar mesin pencacah plastik recycleable. Tujuan program ini adalah membantu masyarakat mengelola sampah menjadi produk yang bernilai tinggi dan menghasilkan manfaat yang besar bagi mereka. Metode pelaksanaan diawali dengan survei ke lokasi bersamaan dengan pembuatan alat di bengkel. Setelah itu dilakukan kegiatan sosialisasi dan diakhiri dengan serah terima dan pelatihan terhadap operatordan warga masyarakat sekitar. Adanya program ini diharapkan mampu mengatasi masalah sampah dan meningkatkan pendapatan warga, serta bisa mendorong penerapan teknologi yang sama di lokasi lain di Indonesia.

Abstract

Household waste is one of the sources of waste which has a big role in environmental pollution. The community as a waste producer still lacks a high level of concern for waste management itself. Partners in this case are Bandungrejo Village Youth and Youth Youth Association of ?Jaya Jaya? RT 02 RW 04 Bandungrejo Village Bayan District Purworejo District initiative to be able to manage the waste they produce so that it is not harmful to the environment while at the same time adding value to the income from the sale of processed waste. So in this case, the proposer has ideas to develop waste processing technology that can be utilized by partners in this case the community through the Appropriate Technology Application Program (PPTTG) in collaboration with the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education with the House of Representatives Commission X. Activities undertaken i.e. to provide assistance in the form of an integrated waste processing machine as well as a waste management training. The tools provided include one unit of a plastic chopper machine, one unit of an organic chopper machine, one unit of an organic sieving machine, 20 unit of sorted waste bins, 20 units of composter and financial assistance for the construction of a waste processing building for the placement of these machines. This activity is expected to solve the problems of partners in waste management and improve the welfare of the community itself.

Abstract

Energi baru dan terbarukan bukan hanya merupakan energi alternatif yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan energi yang semakin meningkat, tapi juga merupakan energi hijau yang tidak menimbulkan dampak berbahaya bagi manusia dan lingkungan seperti pada energi yang berasal dari fosil. Penerapan sel surya sebagai sumber energi listrik pada fotobioreaktor tempat budidaya mikroalga merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan energi baru dan terbarukan yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan inovasi teknologi dalam bidang budidaya mikroalga menggunakan panel surya sebagai pengkonversi energi matahari menjadi energi listrik.Perancangan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya skala kecil yang akan digunakan untuk mensuplai kebutuhan energi dari fotobioreaktor adalah menggunakan panel surya dengan kapasitas 150 wp. Panel surya sebagai pengkonversi energi, solar charge controller sebagai pengatur keseimbangan arus listrik. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: tahap pengumpulan data awal, tahap pengembangan sistem, dan tahap pengumpulan data penelitian. Kebutuhan energi yang akan dipenuhi adalah untuk menghidupkan lampu dan aerator,Hasil pengujian sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga surya yang telah dirancang menunjukkan  bahwa daya keluaran rata-rata mencapai 45,18 Watt dan arus yang didapatkan sebesar 3,7 Ampere.

Abstract

The Blumbang micro hydro power plant is a power plant utilizing hydropower that supplies electricity to the Blumbang area. The resulting supply is very large, around 30 kWh. However, it cannot be fully used by the surrounding society. So, it is necessary to do a feasibility study to increase the power capacity to determine supply and demand. This research aims to determine the community's supply and demand, which will impact the potential that can be taken by society.The method used is field observations, supply and demand observations, analysis of differences in supply and demand. The results that the feasibility of increasing the power capacity. It supplies generated from PLTMH Blumbang ranges from 24-26 kWh of the electricity demand of micro hydro power plant, 6 kWh demand electricity of micro hydro power plant and PLN 16 kWh. The Blumbang society's electricity bill has decreased with the Blumbang micro hydro power plant.

Abstract

New and Renewable energy is not only an alternative energy that can meet increasing energy needs, but also green energy that does not cause harmful effects on humans and the environment such as energy derived from fossils. The application of solar cells as a source of electrical energy to modern agricultural systems, especially the aquaponics system is one of the efforts to develop new and renewable energy that is environmentally friendly. This research is a technological innovation that can cover the weaknesses of aquaponic systems in general by using solar panels to convert solar energy into electrical energy and equipped with water circulation automation technology so that the water needs are always guaranteed. The design of automatic water circulation regulator hydroponic planting method uses a timer as an automatic, solar panels as energy converters, solar charge controller as a regulator of electric current balance. The implementation of this research consists of several stages, namely: the initial data collection stage, the system development stage, and the research data collection stage. The results showed that the water pump in the aquaponic fish pond on the first, second and third days showed that the water pump was 12 V and the average flow of the fish pond water pump was 1.15 A. The data also showed that The highest measurement carried out for 3 days resulted in an average voltage of 12.68 V and a current of around 1.75 A, and the lowest measurement produced an average voltage of 12.42 V and a current of around 1.63 A. Based on the data in the study this, solar panels with a large 50 wp can meet the load requirements (water pump) to operate so that they can help circulate water in aquaponic installations.

Abstract

The development of technology for the use of natural resources as fuel is increasing. One of them is theresearch of third generation biodisel. This technology utilizes microalgae as an environmentallyfriendly raw material which is also a renewable energy source for oil. Biodiesel from microalgaeespecially Spirulina sp. is one of the energy sources that can replace conventional diesel fuel whichhas potential for high lipid content. This study aims to develop a microalgae cultivation technology in anairlift photobioreactor by adjusting the light intensity of the LED lamp to obtain an optimal growth rateand increase the biomass production of Spirulina sp. The research was conducted on an intermediatescale using an airlift type photobioreactor with varying light intensity, namely 1600 lux, 2200 lux, and3200 lux. Each treatment was carried out three times for 14 days. Measurement of biomass weight wascalculated using the gravimetric method, by taking samples every 7 days. Based on the data obtained,the application of different light intensities to the spirulina sp. cultivation system will have an effect onthe final result in harvesting day 14th, specifically the weight of the biomass produced. The averageyield of biomass on day 14th with the best results was obtained at light intensity of 1600 as much as 623mg / 100 ml.
