Abstract

One of the efforts to develop the rural economy is the establishment of economic institutions such as Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) which are supported by the role of the local government and are based on the wishes of the village community. This BUMDes is expected to be able to increase market demand based on proper management of the existing village potential. Through cooperative behavior (social capital), synergy and a good entrepreneurial orientation in BUMDes managers and the positive role of the government it is hoped that there will be an increase in BUMDes business performance in Jembrana Regency. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the role of government and social capital of business managers through entrepreneurial orientation towards BUMDes business performance in Jembrana Regency. The basis of multivariate analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Through a research sample of 90 respondents from BUMDes managers in Jembrana Regency, the results are obtained: (1) social capital and the role of government directly have a positive but not significant effect on business performance, while entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on business performance, and (2) social capital and the role of the government in a total positive and significant effect and require full mediation (full mediation) through entrepreneurial orientation to the business performance of BUMDes in Jembrana Regency, Bali.

Abstract

This paper shows the initial research about the design of optimal investment policy of the public company in resource conservation, by using optimal control model. The mathematical bioeconomics model in using of mathematical modeling for resource conservation is a dynamics problem. The successfull of resource conservation management must fully take account of the time dimension for sustained equilibrium bioeconomics.  The design of a dynamic optimization model is solved  by optimal control strategy via maximum principle Pontryagin of Hamiltonian expressi. We have the conclusion that the optimization of present value for resource conservation very dependent of time domain, how long stock optimal can be sustained  for is given initial stock.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to determine a new location of junior high school at Klungkung, using Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering Algorithm. The new location of the junior high school is depending on the graduate number of elementary school, the distance between location of candidates, and distance between the candidates’ location and existing junior high school. To measure the distance, it is used an Euclidean distance. At the beginning of calculation, the locations of elementary schools are used as the location candidates. Then, the density value of each location candidates is calculated using Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering Algorithm. The location candidate which has the highest density will be chosen to become a starting location. The results of calculation show that the location candidate at 8°32'5.70"S, 115°24'20.64"E has the highest density value, it is at SD Negeri 1 Semarapura Kangin. So the location for the new junior high school is at around SD Negeri 1 Semarapura Kangin.

Abstract

The goal of this reseach is to get the representation of welfare in Bali province based on the indicators represented by People Development Indexs (PDI). PDI is the indexs is a latent variable that can not be measured like measurement variable, so to measure PDI have to be measure by several indicators. In tgeneral, PDI is measured by three indicators that is a long and Healthy life as the Health Indicators, Education Indicators and decent standard of living as Economic Indicators. In Practice, Health Indicators is measured by mean expectation of life. Mean of long school and expectation of long school are measurement of Education Indicators. Whereas Economic Indicators is represented by purchasing power parity. In Staistics methods, to represent or analize multivariate variable there are many methods can be used. One of the methods is Biplot. In Biplot analysis we can represent information about row matrix and coloum matrix simultaneous. In this cases we can get information about object ( 9 districs or city in Bali) and Welfare Indicators represented by PDIsimultanous. The result of biplot analysis in this research is two dimension graphic that represent Euclid distance of object and correlation of indicators so that we can get information of the grouping of object and the characteristic variables of the certain group.

Abstract

Linear Regression Analysis is a statistical method for modeling relation between two variable, response and explanatory variable. Geograpically Weighted Regression (GWR) is the development of linier regression analysis if the case of spatial divers case. Local multicollinearity is a condition when explanatory variables had correlated with each observation location. Geograpically Weighted Ridge Regression (GWRR) is a method used to model data containing local multicollinearity on spatial data. GWRR model was developed from ridge regression by adding weight as additional information. The study aims to model spatial data containing local multicollinearity to the Human Development Index (HDI) in the districts/municipalities of eastern Java Province in 2015. The result of this study was indicate that the indicator of the average length of school is a dominant indicator that affects HDI.

Abstract

Weaving industry is one of the creative industries based on local wisdom of Bali, need to be developed with the concept of modern entrepreneurship (orange economy). Regional economic development strategies need to take into account the dynamics of local community life or social capital in addition to the role of government and other physical capital, in order to improve the performance of weaving industry in Jembrana regency, Bali. Based on empirical theory and facts, this study aims to analyze how the direct and indirect influence of the role of government, social capital and business performance on and subjective wellbeing on the business actors of weaving industry in Jembrana, Bali. Through the modeling of the resulting structural equations is studied: (1) the direct influence of the government's role on business performance and subjective well-being; (2) the direct influence of social capital on business performance and subjective wellbeing; (3) the direct impact of business performance on subjective well-being; (4) the indirect and total influence of the government's role on subordinate welfare mediated by business performance; and (5) the indirect and total social capital influences on subjective well-being mediated by business performance. Based on surveys and structured interviews on 70 business actors of weaving industry in Jembrana District, Bali through data analysis techniques using SEM-PLS with the help of Smart PLS 3.0 software, in the business actors weaving industry found that: (1) directly the role of government have positive and significant (2) direct social capital has a positive and significant effect on business performance, but not significant to subjective wellbeing, (3) directly the business performance have a positive and significant effect on subjective wellbeing, (4) the role of the government indirectly has a positive but insignificant effect on subjective wellbeing, but through full mediation of business performance, the role of the government has a positive and significant effect on subjective wellbeing, and (5) social capital indirectly has a positive and significant effect on the subjective achievement, so totally through the full mediation of business performance, social capital has a positive and significant impact on subjective wellbeing although it directly does not have a significant effect.
