Abstract

ABSTRACT In Desa Timuhun, eventhough papaya is not primary fruit product, but usually papaya is planted among the other plants and easily to grow. Papaya has good potency to be processed to become food product. Matured papaya fruit is usually fresh served for desk fruit. On the other hand, for papaya which is not mature yet, usually used for vegetable. Papaya has high water content, so it makes papaya fruit easy to experience damage. With papaya processing, papaya which is originally assumed improper to be sold or to be consumed (mechanical damage, diseased, acid, physical damage) and will only to be thrown, finally can be used. The making of papaya dry candy is one of effort to preserve and to vary form of papaya serving. It also improves the economic value of papaya. The making of papaya can be conducted in big or small scale. The activity objectives are to introduce and give additional knowledge to society about papaya processing technology, to increase economic added value of papaya and the using of papaya which is improper to be sold or to be consumed becoming valuable food product .Realization of the objectives above are by performing an information sharing and discussion with the society about process of the making dry candy from papaya, training of papaya dry candy making, introduce simple technology of dry candy papaya making. This activity was performed at the head of Desa Timuhun office, on Friday, September 14, 2007 and was attended by 26 persons, including association of woman farmer and the staff in that office. The result of this activity shows that there was positive response of people who attend this activity, because by processing papaya fruit into dry candy, have a lot of advantage compare to sale it freshly. Beside that, this dry candy is healthy snack, without synthetic preservation, enriched with vitamins which is useful for health, also this dry candy is still good up to 1 month and of course it could to improve economic value compared to be sold freshly

Abstract

Tungro is one cause of crop failure. The calculation of the extent of the attack is very important to determine how big the attack on a land and to predict the results to be gained. Aerial photographs are one of the technologies that can be used to predict the extent of tungro disease. The development of image processing algorithms should be developed to predict the extent of attacks with aerial photographs.The purpose of this research were to develop an application that can be used to predict the extent of tungro disease on rice. To develop the program of estimate attack area use software Adobe Photoshop CS 6 and Matlab R2013a. This research consists of several steps, namely image acquisition, preprocessing, thresholding, image morphology operation, pixel calculation, calculation of the area of attack.The algorithm of this study were : image acquisition, color normalization, mosaicking, resize, scale calculation, land pixel calculation, pixel attack calculation, calculation of attack area and percentage of attack. T test is performed on data of percentage estimation of attack and manual calculation using planimeter. From the T test results obtained that both data is the same. Based on the above, it can be concluded that the algorithm of image processing estimation to estimate the extent of tungro disease attack is image acquisition, color normalization, mosaicking, resize, scale calculation, land pixel calculation, pixel counting attack and percentage of attack calculation.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Ketidakseimbangan unsur hara dan kualitas tanah yang kurang optimal merupakan permasalahan umum di lahan pertanian, namun pemantauan unsur hara memerlukan analisis laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian adalah memperoleh hubungan untuk mengestimasi pH tanah, kandungan nitrogen total, karbon total dan bahan organik tanah berdasarkan konduktivitas listrik tanah, serta mengevaluasi potensi penggunaan konduktivitas listrik tanah sebagai indikator estimasi parameter-parameter tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan machine learning berbasis Python dengan algoritma regresi linear, di mana 70% data digunakan untuk membuat persamaan pendugaan dan 30% untuk validasi kinerja model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konduktivitas Listrik (EC) dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi nilai pH dengan persamaan pH = 0,3107 EC - 1,2 (nilai R² = 0,9707), untuk memprediksi nilai karbon total dengan persamaan TC = 0,3525 EC - 0,1 dan untuk memprediksi nilai bahan organik, dengan persamaan BOT = 0,2045 EC - 0,1 dengan nilai R² = 0,9126. Namun, nilai EC dinyatakan lemah untuk memprediksi nitrogen total dengan nilai R² = -0,0030. Validasi kinerja model menunjukkan nilai kesalahan yang sangat kecil pada persamaan untuk memprediksi pH berdasarkan nilai EC yaitu MSE = 0,0006; MAE = 0,0164), serta pada persamaan untuk memprediksi karbon total dan bahan organik tanah berdasarkan nilai EC diperoleh masing-masing nilai MSE = 0,0017 dan MAE = 0,0357). Namun nilai EC kurang efektif untuk memprediksi nilai nitrogen total karena hasil validasi kinerja model menunjukkan nilai MSE = 0,0195 dan MAE = 0,1190. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa konduktivitas listrik tanah dapat digunakan sebagai indikator yang baik untuk mengestimasi pH tanah, karbon total, dan bahan organik tanah.   ABSTRACT The imbalance of soil nutrients and suboptimal soil quality are common issues in agricultural land; however, monitoring soil nutrients typically requires laboratory analysis. This study aims to establish relationships for estimating soil pH, total nitrogen content, total carbon, and soil organic matter based on soil electrical conductivity (EC), as well as to evaluate the potential use of EC as an indicator for estimating these parameters. The research employed a machine learning approach using Python with a linear regression algorithm, where 70% of the data was used to develop estimation equations and the remaining 30% for model performance validation. The results indicate that EC can be used to predict pH with the equation pH = 0.3107 EC - 1.2 (R² = 0.9707), total carbon with the equation TC = 0.3525 EC - 0.1, and soil organic matter with the equation BOT = 0.2045 EC - 0.1 (R² = 0.9126). However, EC was found to be a weak predictor for total nitrogen, as indicated by an R² value of -0.0030. Model validation results showed very low error values for the pH prediction equation (MSE = 0.0006; MAE = 0.0164), as well as for the equations predicting total carbon and organic matter (MSE = 0.0017 and MAE = 0.0357, respectively). In contrast, EC was less effective in predicting total nitrogen, as reflected in higher error values (MSE = 0.0195; MAE = 0.1190). These findings suggest that soil electrical conductivity can serve as a reliable indicator for estimating soil pH, total carbon, and organic matter content.

Abstract

Subak system is one form of irrigation system that is able to accommodate the dynamics of the sociotechnical system of the local community. Irrigation water is managed with the principles of justice, openness, harmony and togetherness, through a flexible organization that is in accordance with the interests of the community. Irrigation systems are closely related to the provision of irrigation water to rice cultivation plants. One aspect that will be assessed in an irrigation system is the Irrigation Management Performance Ratio (MPR). The purpose of this study is to determine the MPR classification in a subak by scoring in each MPR classification. The primary data was collected by interview, direct observation and measurement methods while secondary data was obtained from BMKG Region III Denpasar. The data that has been collected will then be rated and analyzed. Irrigation MPR for each subak is assessed using four ranges of values: Good if 0.75 <MPR<1.25, Sufficient if 0.60 1.60. The results of the analysis method of irrigation management achievement ratio in the cultivation of rice obtained by the upstream area MPR from periods I to VII irrigation management achievement ratio with an average value of 10.05 (Very Less) and for the middle area of irrigation MPR from period I to V the average value is 1.78 (Very Less), period VI with a value of 1.56 (Less), period VII with a value of 1.03 (Good) while for the downstream subak the MPR was obtained from the I to III periods with an average value of 2.25 (Very Less) and for periods IV to VII with an average value of 0.92 (Good).

Abstract

Subak is an institution in charge of regulating the irrigation traditionally. System Subak activities are based on Tri Hita Karana (THK). One aspect of Tri Hita Karana (THK) is the palemahan aspect. The purpose of this research was to develop a program to assess the condition of palemahan aspect in subak system using Matlab-GUI based fuzzy logic that named TAKSU Information System (Tri Hita Karana Subak). In creating a fuzzy toolbox, the most important step to do is to design rules. Data were collected by survey method, direct observation and measurement. The data were categorized by value and then analyzed with fuzzy logic. Subak were assessed by using three value criteria that were Good = 3, Medium = 2, Less = 1. This program consists of input, an algorithm which is a function of the design carried out on the fuzzy Matlab toolbox and output as a result of the program. Based on the results of the validation carried out on two samples of subak, the value of Subat Jatiluwih was 2.23 with the criteria of Good and Subak Puring was 2.73 with the criteria of Good. These results indicate that this program can operate properly.

Abstract

The subak irrigation system still needs to be improved in recording and managing irrigation discharge data. Thus, an information system is required to display digital data on irrigation water discharge, which can be accessed via the website. The research aimed to d esign a responsive, flexible, and easily accessible information system, to build a live discharge data service in the form of a bar chart, and to test the features and accessibility of the information system. System design in this study was carried out in the following stages, identifying problems from the user side, designing system algorithms, integrating frameworks and API, hosting, and conducting black - box testing. The entire system design followed the waterfall model. The system has seven features: web site information , automatic discharge data from the IM - Logger tool, discharge data with manual measurements, subak news, subak gallery, login, and WhatsApp - based information features. This study tested features' responsiveness, flexibility , and system accessibility for various devices. The test results showed that all the features tested had good responsiveness and speed. In the digital data feature, irrigation discharge could be updated consistently and successfully converted into a bar chart . The system flexibility test obtained a very good score, with 100% and 93.8 % conformity percentages for wide and narrow screen devices, re spectively . In the accessibility test, 59.66% of respondents stated that the accessibility of this system was good, 39.98% was very good, and 0.6% was not good. Based on the overall results, it can be concluded that the information system functions respons ively, and flexibly , and is easily accessible
