Abstract

Mindfulness adalah kesadaran yang muncul saat kita memberi perhatian pada tujuan, saat ini, dan tanpa menghakimi pengalaman yang terjadi saat ini, kejadian demi kejadian. Manfaat mindfulness pada anak-anak adalah dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi, menurunkan tingkat kecemasan dan menurunkan tingkat stres anak. Tujuan memberikan kegiatan mindfulness pada program pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi. Kegiatan mindfulness ini diberikan selama 4 minggu. Minggu pertama, kegiatan mindfulness dilakukan dengan menikmati beng-beng. Minggu kedua kegiatan mindfulness dilakukan dengan mewarnai yang mindful. Kegiatan minggu ketiga adalah body scanning dan kegiatan minggu keempat adalah bernafaslah. Pembekalan program dilakukan pada tanggal 9 Oktober 2016. Pembekalan diberikan kepada semua anggota panti asuhan, namun treatment mindfulness selama empat minggu diberikan kepada 5 orang. Pre test dan post test dilakukan dengan memberikan subtest deret angka Weschler Intelligence Sclae for Children (WISC). Hasil yang diperoleh setelah pemberian kegiatan mindfulness adalah terjadi peningkatan skor pada subtes deret angka pada post test, yang berarti dapat dikatakan ada peningkatan daya konsentrasi pada anak-anak.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide additional knowledge and mindfulness skills to teachers in elementary schools in the Badung regency. The service team expects teachers who practice mindfulness to prevent work burnout, develop more positive emotions, and have self-help supplies to reduce personal stress. The training activities are carried out in two forms, online and outside the network, focusing on psychoeducation and mindfulness practices. A total of 40 teachers from various school representatives attended the training activities. The face-to-face training activities took place at SD No. 3 Sempidi. This activity results in the teachers' understanding of mindfulness increasing. The teacher can practice several mindfulness techniques. The teacher can choose the mindfulness technique that is deemed suitable and get benefits from the training. The service team hopes that mindfulness training results can provide hands-on experience related to mindfulness and its various benefits for elementary school level teachers in the Badung regency. Abstract

The results of the initial situation analysis show that some of the inmates in the Kerobokan Prison need psychological assistance to increase life satisfaction or subjective well-being. High subjective well-being indicates that inmates have good life satisfaction. One of the activities that can be addressed to improve subjective well-being is cognitive-behavioral group counseling. As many as 20 inmates participated in group counseling activities. The results of the quantitative analysis did not find significant differences in the level of subjective well-being before and after the counseling activities. However, qualitatively, the participants stated that they felt cared for, supported and valued through the activities they carried out. The assisted residents hope that counseling activities can be carried out more frequently. The results of this activity imply that the provision of continuous psychological service assistance is still needed by inmates at the Kerobokan Prison.
