Abstract

Low back pain has become a central issue of physiological health. Almost all the discussion of musculoskeletal complaints places more emphasis on the need to pay attention to the importance of health in the lower back. One of the causes of workers' complaints on the lower back is a less natural posture when on the move. The impact that is most easily observed as a result of the emergence of low back pain is the emergence of fatigue and decreased work motivation. Observation of the impact of low back pain on workers was examined using the same subject design. The subject are 11 people who work as wood carving artists. In period 1 the subjects worked in conventional working conditions, while in period 2 the subjects were given treatment, namely anticipation of complaints of low back pain, working in ergo-anthropometric working conditions, ie given ergonomic work tables and chairs with additional nutrition intake, active rest and work uniform. The fatigue variable was measured using a 30 items rating scale questionnaire and crafters' motivation was measured by a questionnaire on 4 Likert scales. Data analysis begins with descriptive analysis and normality test data with ShapiroWilk. Data with normal distribution are used t-paired analysis and data with abnormal distribution use Wilcoxon test. In this study it was found that ergo-anthropometric working conditions can reduce fatigue by 27.34% and increase work motivation by 20.39%. It can be concluded that efforts to anticipate complaints of low back pain can reduce fatigue and maintain work motivation of carving craftsmen.

Abstract

The business of traditional pottery, especially carat and coblong, has existed for a long time, said that since Hinduism began to be adopted by the Balinese. Carat is a ceremonial tool that has a design like a jug, only in small form, while coblong resembles a jar. In their use, both are filled with water, supplementing the fire and flowers which are usually always present at every Hindu prayer in Bali. Carat and coblong making technology is fairly traditional and has not been touched by modern technology. The manufacturing process, starting from the treatment of materials, the formation and finishing is done in a conventional way, which uses the feet and hands. The elements of skill and experience play an important role in the realization of carat and coblong pottery products. The aim of the program is to empower craftsmen by giving a touch of modern technology to work tools. The method used is socialization, provision of work tools, testing tools and data retrieval. The testing of the tool was assisted by 7 subjects who volunteered to be involved as testers. Data is taken twice, namely when the subject works using conventional work tools and when using ergonomic or modern work tools. The test results show that by using modern tools, subjects feel the reduction in pain due to work which in the long run will have implications for increasing the productive life of the craftsman and increasing productivity. Abstract

This research is a study of the effect of visual complaints on learning achievement. High and low visual complaints are strongly influenced by student mobility or motor activity. Mobility can also maintain concentration to be maintained at a certain time. Class mobility is carried out through simple interactive learning, which is an effort to invite students to always move and always be active in the learning process. The long-term goal of research is to obtain effective learning strategies in vocational universities, while the short-term goal of research is to obtain learning methods in English subjects that are best able to provide optimal results on student academic achievement. Departing from the problem that the concentration of students decreases in line with the length of the lecture and the lack of student interaction in the classroom, a strategy is made that allows the concentration of students to be maintained during the lecture process by increasing student mobility in the classroom. To find out the impact of the treatment/ intervention on the subject's condition, a real experiment will be conducted using the two period cross over design. The assessment of the quality of the learning process was carried out with 2 cycles of study, in which each cycle was ended by giving a test/questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Student learning achievements in the form of final grades are calculated according to the grade with the following weighting: 10% daily quiz/test + 10% assignment + 10% report + 30% Middle Semester Exam + 40% Final Semester Examination. The results showed that high visual complaints can reduce concentration and reduce student achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh asupan nutrisi terhadap kelelahan dan konsentrasi petani saat beraktivitas. Penelitian dilakukan di daerah Bedugul, tepatnya di Desa Taman Tanda. Daerah Taman Tanda dipilih karena merupakan salah satu Subak yang masih setia dengan teknologi ramah lingkungan dan salah satu Subak yang menghasilkan produk pertanian organik. Selama ini, seperti sudah disepakati secara diam-diam bahwa makan atau minum di tengah-tengah aktivitas di ladang tidak dibenarkan. Padahal, tahun tujuh puluhan sampai era delapan puluhan, jeda istirahat merupakan hal yang biasa. Sangat sulit merubah suatu prilaku yang bersifat komunal. Diperlukan bukti dan orang terpercaya untuk memberi keyakinan bahwa asupan nutrisi di tengah-tengah aktivitas sangat bermanfaat untuk mempertahankan kebugaran tubuh selama beraktivitas. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan intervensi pada asupan nutrisi yang dikonsumsi oleh petani. Untuk mengukur manfaat dari intervensi atau perlakuan bagi peningkatan derajat kesehatan petani maka akan dilakukan pengukuran, baik pre-test maupun post-test melalui penelitian eksperimental Treatment by Subjects Design. Subjek adalah petani laki-laki dengan jumlah 20 orang, berumur antara 35 – 50 tahun, dengan pengalaman kerja lebih dari 5 tahun. Variabel yang akan diukur adalah kelelahan dan konsentrasi yang dirasakan oleh petani. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan program SPSS dengan tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Berdasarkan pengukuran yang dilakukan di lokasi penelitian, kondisi kelembaban relatif di Desa Taman Tanda adalah 78,65, kecepatan angin rata-rata 13,62 m/menit dan suhu bola kering 30,11oC dan bola basah 26,58oC sedangkan intensitas bunyi 76,83 dB(A). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata kelelahan petani adalah skor 52,03 dan setelah intervensi skor 43,04, atau menurun sebesar 17,28%. Indikator konsentrasi, yang terdiri dari kecepatan, ketelitian dan konstansi juga mengalami perbaikan masing-masing sebesar 12,70%; 10,69% dan 21,62%. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa asupan nutrisi berupa pemberian segelas teh manis dan 75 gram kue ketan di tengah- tengah aktivitas dapat menurunkan kelelahan dan meningkatkan konsentrasi.
