Abstract

Customer satisfaction is the level of customer feeling towards the evaluation of perceived discrepancies between performance or perceived results compared to expectations. Quality is the level of excellence expected to meet customer desires which is a dynamic condition related to products, services, people, processes and the environment that meets or exceeds expectations. Factor analysis is a multivariate analysis method based on correlations between variables. This study discusses the factors of customer satisfaction with service quality in the Mengwi Badung Station. The factors of user satisfaction with the quality of service at the Mengwi Badung Station are caring, physical condition, guarantee, reliability, and responsibility factors.

Abstract

Mean years school (MYS) is one of the indicators used in calculating the human development index (HDI). The value of MYS Indonesia in 2019 is 8,75 which is still low. Therefore it still needs to be improved. In this research, MYS modeling will be carried out using six factors that are thought to influence MYS. This research uses multivariable spline nonparametric regression to modeling MYS Indonesia in 2019. The best model is selected based on the minimum value of Generalized Cross Validation (GCV). Based on this research, the best model obtained is a linear orde (orde 2) spline model with four knots. The model has value of 99,91%.

Abstract

Cluster analysis is one of data analysis used to classify objects in clusters which has objects with the same characteristics, whereas the other cluster has different characteristics. One part of the method of analysis cluster is hierarchy method. In a hierarchical method there are methods of linkage in the form of incorporation. Generally, methods of linkage is divided into 5 methods: single linkage, complete linkage, average linkage, Ward and centroid.  The purpose of this study was to determine the best method of linkage among the method of single linkage, complete linkage, average linkage, and Ward, using Euclidean and Pearson proximity distance. Base on the smallest value of CTM (Cluster Tightness Measure), the best method of linkage as a result of this research was average linkage in Pearson distance.

Abstract

Bali province is a tourist destination island with good transportation. Airplane is the most used transportation to go to Bali. Convenience of the airline passengers are the most important thing for I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Authorithy. An exact forecast method is needed to predict the numbers of passenger in the future. There are two types of forecasting methods; triple exponential smoothing and Fuzzy Time Series Ruey-Chyn Tsaur, however based on the research Fuzzy Time Series Ruey-Chyn Tsaur is better than triple exponential smoothing due to a small error MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) of 2,4% and plot is close to actual data.

Abstract

The Poisson regression is generally used to analyze the response variable that is a discrete data. Poisson regression has assumption which must be met, that is condition equidispersion. But in fact this assumption is often violated, that is the value of the variance is greater or less than the mean value. The condition when value of the variance is greater than the mean value is called overdispersion. One method that can be used for overdispersion data is Generalized Poisson regression. In this research, it was found that the Generalized Poisson regression method was better than Poisson regression method.

Abstract

Singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is a new method in time series analysis that uses a nonparametric approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the model and forecast the farmer exchange rate in the Province of Bali using SSA. Vector singular spectrum analysis (VSSA) forecasting method is used to calculate the accuracy of forecasting. The best SSA model is obtained with a window length (L) value of 57 and produces a MAPE value of 0.49%. In conclusion, SSA method can predict farmer exchange rate in the Province of Bali very accurate.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to demonstrate the application of Statistics Quality Control in fierce industries. By observing Batik production process at PT XYZ as a case in this work, we applied Six Sigma Method to analyze defective product and their cause while also measure overall quality goodness. Six Sigma is a method to improve a process and reduce defects in productions into 3.4 defects per million productions. We use handprint batik productions at PT XYZ as a case in this study. The method is involving Define, Measure and Analyze (DMA) phases. By using Six Sigma, it was obtained that the quality of handprint batik are quite good with sigma of 3.105 and defect rate of 54.269 million production (DPMO). There are four defect causes of handprint batik namely: ripped fabric, shallowness, perforation, and mispattern which contribute 41,7%, 35,8%, 15%, 7,5% respectively from overall defects. The main cause of defects is the carelessness of workers in production process. Therefore we need to reduce the carelessness to improve production quality.

Abstract

One of multivariate analysis application was used to see the relationship between two or more quantitative variable and objects within. Multivariate analysis which used in this case is correspondence analysis. This paper will be done correspondence analysis application in order to see the characteristic of tourism business in Bali. In this study it can be seen the characteristic of tourism business in Bali in a form of illustration of tourism business situation of each regencies which mapped in two dimensional plots. The result was Karangasem, Buleleng, Gianyar, Jembrana, Tabanan, and Klungkung were in a group because they have the same development of tourism area business and accommodation service business. However tourism business that was developed in Denpasar and Badung was tour and travel and food and beverage business.

Abstract

Nonparametric regression can be applied for some data types one of them is time series data. The technique of this method is called smoothing technique. There are several smoothing techniques however this study used kernel estimator with seven kernel functions in data of rupiah exchange rate to US dollar. The analysis with R shows that by using minimum Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) criteria, seven functions produce various optimal bandwidth value but has similar curves estimation. The conclusion is that by using kernel estimator in time series data support that choosing the optimal bandwidth is more important than choosing the kernel functions.

Abstract

The Poisson regression analysis is one of the regression methods used for count data and has the assumption of equidispersion. However, it is the overdispersion and then underestimate standard errors will be obtained. If the data are overdispersed and more data is zero then ZIP (Zero Inflated Regression) regression is used. ZIP regression model is more appropriate to be used to analyze the amount of Senior High School/Madrasah Aliyah who do not pass the exam with five independent variables, because a lot of data failure is zero. In this paper, data are overdispersed on Poisson regression, so ZIP regression are used. ZIP regression models obtained are only influenced by the proportion of Senior High School/Madrasah Aliyah classroom were damaged (X3), is and .
