Abstract

Students' reading literacy in this case understanding, reflecting, and retelling a reading is one of the factors to determine the level of language mastery for foreign language students. This study, it is discussed the basic Japanese language skills of first-year students of the Japanese Language Education study program, Surabaya State University associated with their Japanese reading literacy using Japanese reading with topics about mythical animals in Indonesia equipped with image visualization. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of basic Japanese mastery of students in terms of understanding and retelling readings based on JF Standards. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative, whose data is taken from a questionnaire on self-evaluation distributed to 25 students in the Shokyu Dokkai course. From the results of this study, it is known that the Japanese language skills of these first-year students based on the JF Standard are on average at level A2. With this result, it is hoped that it can be used as a reference for treatment in further learning

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the classification of shouryakugo forms in printed media like newspaper and magazine. The form of words shortening in Japanese in newspapers and magazines became the main object in this research. The type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The object in this study is new words formed from the shortening process or shouryakugo contained in printed media such as The Daily Jakarta Shinbun newspaper and Nipponika magazine. The result of the research shows that there are total of 14 data of shouryakugo, of which 2 data is shortening at the beginning of word, 3 data of shortening in middle of word, 3 data of shortening at end of word, 5 data by removing partial word from word series, and 1 data shouryakugo by eliminating besides one word. Abstract

Double Consonant writing in Japanese marked by Hiragana or Katakana written (?/?). Sokuon has been used many in daily comic conversation to emphazise or strengthen the speech. As the consequence, the outcome of Japanese written becomes unstandard since there is morphologically change. That is why a research has been done using comic titled Crows volume 1 by Takahashi Hiroshi to represent Japanese Comic that generally has the same sokuon written structure in daily conversation. Analysis result shows there is 1 sokuon written in the beginning, 7 sokuons in the middle, and there area 17 sokuons in the end, also there area 16 sokuons in between 2 words. Those data has been analyzed using The Prominen Theory and The Shukuyaku-kei Formation Theory. Future expectation is to expand this research through other aspect of speech that use sokuon seen from the context and function aspect. Abstract

Neurolinguistik adalah bidang ilmu yang mempelajari proses otak dalam merekam dan membentuk bahasa. Otak kita terbagi dalam dua bagian besar kanan dan kiri. Otak ini yang menciptakan konsep berbahasa dan daya nalar untuk apa yang manusia akan ucapkan. Pada artikel ini dibahas kaitan antara neurolinguistik dan penerapannya dalam teknologi. Ada suatu penelitian dan percobaan di mana otak diberi sebuah chip untuk membantu penderita syaraf untuk menyampaikan bahasa melalui kemampuan otak sehingga apa yang ingin disampaikan dapat dipahami oleh lawan bicara walaupun sang penderita tidak dapat menggunakan indra bicaranya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penggunaan partikel akhir (shuujoshi) dalam ragam bahasa pria (danseigo) dalam bahasa Jepang. Dalam bahasa Jepang terdapat ragam bahasa yang kelompok penuturnya hanya digunakan oleh pria yang disebut danseigo. Penggunaan danseigo sangat terlihat pada penggunaan partikel akhir atau shuujoshi yang dalam penelitian ini akan menjadi objek utama. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data yang diambil dari tiga serial kartun Jepang berjudul Bleach, Nisekoi Season 2 dan Shokugeki no Souma. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan total 24 data tentang penggunaan shuujoshi danseigo. 2 shuujoshi kana (??), 13 shuujoshi na (?), 1 shuujoshi sa (?), 1 shuujoshi i (?), 4 shuujoshi ze (?), 2 shuujoshi zo (?), dan 1 shuujoshi monoka /monka.Kata kunci: shuujoshi, danseigo, ragam bahasa jepang Abstract: This study aims to describe the use of final particles (shuujoshi) in different languages of men (danseigo) in Japanese. In Japanese there is a variety of language groups of speakers are only used by the man who called danseigo. Use danseigo very visible on the use of final particles or shuujoshi which in this study will be the main object. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with data source taken from three Japanese cartoon series titled Bleach, Nisekoi Season 2 and Shokugeki no Souma.
