Abstract

Continuing professional development is a process that must be carried out by each individual nurse in order to maintain and update the development of health services through setting high standards of professional practice. The purpose of this research was to determine the need for ongoing professional development activities which include training, seminars, workshops, and formal education for alumni of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. Design was descriptive quantitative. The research sample was 293 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. The results showed the need for continuous professional development in the first priority is training (34.8%) with the type of training needed is emergency nursing training or BTCLS (19.8%), and the second highest priority is formal education (25.3%), who continued S2 if given the opportunity (89.4%) of respondents with the desired form of specialist programs namely management nursing (20.5%) and (10, 6%) want to continue with S3 if given the opportunity. The conclusion of this research is the need for continuing professional development especially training and education activities is very important for Nursing alumni of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Riau to improve their professionalism.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the community regarding the handling of wounds accompanied by bleeding. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, and demonstrations related to first aid for wounds accompanied by bleeding. The activity is carried out with health cadres and the community in the Maharatu district, Subdistrict Marpoyan Damai. The number of participants who attended was 30 people. Before the material presentation, the respondent filled out a questionnaire, then continued with the provision of materials related to wounds, and the management of bleeding and then accompanied by demonstrations of how to first aid for wounds accompanied by bleeding. After the material presentation, the community was asked to fill out a questionnaire and re-demonstrate how to first aid wounds accompanied by bleeding. The results of this activity indicate that there was an increase in public knowledge regarding first aid for wounds accompanied by bleeding after counseling. Besides that the public could demonstrate first aid for wounds accompanied by bleeding. After this activity, the community has been able to perform first aid on wounds with bleeding independently at home.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kondisi fisik, perilaku, kognisi, emosional, lingkungan fisik dan lingkungan sosial terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa keperawatan dalam menyelesaikan skripsi selama pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur berupa kuesioner Perceived Stress Scale-10 dan kuesioner tidak baku yang dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Kuesioner tidak baku dengan total sebanyak 33 pertanyaan dan hasil uji validitas dinyatakan semua pertanyaan valid dengan r hitung > r tabel (0,444) dan Cronbach alpha lebih dari 0,6 sehingga dinyatakan reliabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara kondisi fisik (p-value 0,008), perilaku (p-value 0,041), kognisi (p-value 0,047), emosional (p-value 0,001) dan lingkungan sosial (p-value 0,004) terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan skripsi selama pandemi covid-19. Sedangkan lingkungan fisik (p-value 0,135) tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan skripsi selama pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac catheterization is an invasive procedure to detect blockages in the coronary arteries. Risk factors can be prevented with self-management support. Self-Management-Support care and support is provided by emphasizing the importance of the patient's central role in managing their own health. Method: This research uses a descriptive design. The research sample was 30 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire sheet. The analysis used is univariate analysis which aims to describe the frequency distribution to find out the description of Self Management and Support in Cardiac Catheterization Patients. Results: The assessment results for all respondents are in the medium category, namely with a total of 20 respondents (66.7%), Adsive is in the good category, namely with the number 15 respondents (50%), Agree in the good category, namely with a total of 25 respondents (83.3%), Assist in the medium category, namely with a total of 23 respondents (76.7%), and Arrange in the medium category, namely with a total of 15 respondents (50%) . This research suggests that health workers continue to provide self-management support to cardiac catheterization patients to improve patient health.
