Abstract

KM. DHARMA KENCANA VIII adalah kapal tipe Ro - Ro (Passanger Ship) yang memiliki rute pelayaran Merak - Bakauheni yang mampu mengangkut penumpang dan kendaraan dalam jumlah yang relatif banyak.  Penelitian tentang kekuatan konstruksi internal ramp perlu diperhatikan dan dilakukan dimana tegangan yang diakibatkan oleh beban yang mengenainya tidak boleh melebihi batas maksimum σ ijin bahan berdasarkan rules dari klas, adapun acuan rules yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah berdasarkan rules Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia. Analisa dan permodelan dalam penelitian kekuatan konstruksi internal ramp dilakukan dengan menggunakan program analisa kekuatan berbasis Metode Elemen Hingga . Analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa beban statis untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan letak tegangan terbesar pada konstruksi internal ramp berdasarkan empat variasi pembebanan.Hasil analisa menggunakan program berbasis Metode Elemen Hingga didapatkan hasil stress terbesar internal ramp terjadi dengan beban kendaraan mobil box pada kondisi loadstep midle yaitu sebesar 55,40 N/mm2 ,dimana daerah paling kritis terjadi pada node 2949 yang terletak pada penegar profil L paling kiri bagian memanjang dan penegar profil T nomor 5 bagian melintang. Tegangan ini masih dalam kondisi aman ,karena setelah dibandingan dengan σ ijin sebesar 400 N/mm2 berdasarkan rules BKI menghasilkan nilai safety factor sebesar 7,22

Abstract

Transportasi laut menjadi penghubung kebutuhan dan perekonomian antar pulau di Indonesia, daya angkut dibuat seoptimal mungkin untuk dapat menyuplai kebutuhan masyarakat. Kapal yang ditinjau adalah jenis kapal barang peti kemas. Perencanaan bentuk lambung kapal dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya adalah dari segi kegunaan kapal yang akan dibangun. Dari perhitungan hambatan dapat diketahui berapa Trust Horse Power sehingga dapat digunakan untuk menghitung efisiensi propulsi kapal. Kapal harus memiliki propulsi untuk melawan seluruh hambatan yang mungkin terjadi pada lambung kapal. Dari hasil analisis kapal barang peti kemas dengan kapasitas 100 teus memiliki daya mesin sebesar 1530 HP dengan sistem penggerak ganda dengan peletakan kamar mesin berada di belakang kapal. Tipe baling-baling yang di rencanakan adalah fixed pitch propeller B - 4. 40  , dengan bahan material bronze . Ukuran pitch daun baling-baling 1650 mm dengan diameter baling-baling sebesar 1850 mm.

Abstract

In a ship planning can not be separated from the planning of the ship launching process. A ship can glide perfectly if it has a high enough planning time and costs. The launch process itself is divided into several ways. The choice of this method needs to be considered because it relates to the budget and preparations made. The method used is the calculation according to the numerical approach assisted by computational software. In the first calculation it is planned with the slipway launch, and then the next one is planned with the airbags that have been implemented previously. The purpose of this study is to provide analysis results as a consideration in implementing the slipway and airbag ship launching method on KM ships. Belt Nusantara 72 measuring 2000 DWT. In steps 5 to 6, both the slipway and the airbags experience a stern lift condition with a value (yVd) of 1396.97 ton.  Based on the economic analysis of the hours of people using airbags, there is a decrease in working hours by 44% when compared to the launch using a slipway. This also happened to work productivity where it was 84% more time effective. When viewed from an investment point of view, the use of slipways is actually more economical than airbag, the difference is 43% more economical using slipways. Both types of launch can be applied by looking at the economical side and the ability of each shipyard in carrying out the launching process and seeing the main size of the ship to be launched.

Abstract

Noise is an unwanted sound or sound source which can distract or harm human health and comfort. According to experts, a sound that exceeds the level of human listening senses can cause deafness. Such danger can also be found in ships. An alternative to reduce noise in ships is by modifying the construction.  This research aims to compare noising before and after adding a side deck girder in the engine room of a 2000 DWT ship. The result showed that in the engine room, after adding a FB 180 x 8 mm FP 75 x 10 mm sized T profile, for 0-30 seconds intervals, the maximum noise was down from 127 dB to 62 dB or a 0.47% decrease. Meanwhile, the maximum noise was down from 98.6 dB to 57 dB in the accommodation room or decreased by 0.41%. The maximum noise was down from 83 dB to 37 dB or a 0.56% decrease in the navigation room. Such modification had reduced the average noise range from 80-40 dB to 55-20 dB.

Abstract

Bending testing is one way of testing welding results or materials which are included in destructive testing. Selection of decisions in determining the choice of the sequence of process methods can indicate the level of accuracy and effectiveness of an activity. The purpose of this study was to find out the criteria for work methods for testing the results of welding on pipes with a hydraulic press in the Welding and Ship Construction Education and Research Laboratory, Industrial Technology Department, Vocational School, Diponegoro University, Semarang. An alternative method with a rational approach to find out the criteria for each function of the testing process is presented in this study. The highest alternative value, 80%, is in the first preference where the second alternative method is used as a reference with 2 practitioners and an average usage time of 75 minutes. So that the selection of function parameters as seen from the aspects of function, economy, and time used can be adjusted to the usefulness of the work equipment in the laboratory.

Abstract

Fishing boats have a construction design that generally uses wood materials. The cost of making fishing boats made of wood varies and the value depends on the type of construction design. The difficulty of recovering wood from this plant makes the need for alternative materials. HDPE plastic or polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which has good properties, such as corrosion resistance and light weight, is still one of the most widely adopted materials for the realization of an alternative construction. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of temperature on pre heating on the HDPE plastic welding process. The method used is an experiment where the specimen is made using HDPE material according to the ASTM D638 standard. The welding process uses temperature variations between 4000 - 4500 C. The results show the highest value of tensile testing at pre heating 450o C is 18.2 MPa while the lowest value at pre heating 410o C is 13.7 MPa, with an average elongation of 136.8mm . This concludes that there is an effect of preheating on the plastic welding process with HDPE material.

Abstract

Pengunaan kayu secara berlebihan juga kurang tepat jika dilakukan secara terus menerus untuk kelestarian alam. Begitupun biaya perawatan lambung kapal kayu nelayan memiliki biaya yang relatif tinggi sehingga terkadang membuat nelayan terbeban untuk melakukan perawatan. Material alternatif sebagai struktur konstruksi kapal, salah satunya adalah bahan plastik High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) yang memiliki sifat material viskoplastic. Suatu alat bantu digunakan untuk mempermudah proses pengerjaan sehingga mengurangi adanya resiko kecelakaan kerja akibat kondisi lingkungan dan kesulitan pada teknik pengolahan bahan material HDPE. Modifikasi penggunaan alat bantu diharapkan dapat membantu memberikan kontribusi terhadap penggunaan alat praktik untuk kegiatan praktikum dan penelitian di lingkungan laboratorium. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui tingkat pengaruh penggunaan  alat bantu untuk proses penekukan plat HDPE dengan cara heat treatment. Metode pada penelitian ini dengan metode observasi dan eksperimen dengan melihat problem yang terdapat di lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan proses penekukan plat dengan menggunakan alat bantu dan cara heat treatmen dapat meningkatkan area bending sebesar 83 %. Perlakukan panas dengan  pendinginan sesaat dapat membuat material cepat mengalami bentuk bending yang memiliki alur bending sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Alat bantu bending ini termasuk dalam teknologi tepat guna pengembangan alat praktik untuk kegiatan penelitian dan praktikum pada laboratorium pendidikan dan penelitian.

Abstract

The construction of modern vessels is already different from traditional ships, modern vessels are usually constructed by block methods where the ship is constructed from the pieces and starts from the centre piece. The construction with this method was used on the police patrol ship 63m . The process of unification of the block was done after the block was finished through the assembly process and also passed several parameters, the parameters that must be achieved and implemented before the process of the joint erection is the identification of the material, scantling Check, welding check, dimension check, readiness of the crane, building berth, number of boat blocks, and Indetification Risk. In the implementation of the block construction unification process using the help of the crane and the Trailer to move the blocks from the jig table to the building birth. The selection of the crane itself is based on the block load, being for the number of eye plates when the joint erection depends on the number and capacity of the crane used. And in this case the load of each eye plate is 35.26 kN and maximum stress 376,30 Mpa  in block B05 and then 23, 51 kN in and maximum stress  313,30 Mpa in  block B07. After the joint erection is still needed to be checked, the things to be checked are dimensional check, plate and member flatness, member straightness, Visual weld inspection, and non-destructive test according to WPS.

Abstract

Since all equipment needs to be handled correctly, the equipment handling procedure is crucial. in order to ensure the equipment's safe arrival at its destination and to preserve its quality and condition.The method used in this research to analyze the calculation using experiment set with sensor data and observation. Finding the optimal operational load process value during material loading and unloading at the Panjang Port is the aim of this study. From analyze results horizontal direction movement speed of 2 km/h has a pressure value of 37 kPa with a distance of 376 mm from the center end of the pipe being unloaded, across the stress value is at 167 kPa with a stretch distance of less than 300 mm, longitudinal direction of 45 kPa.
