Abstract

PT. XYZ  Surabaya, merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang supplier bahan kimia yaitu gas chlorine. Kecenderungan biaya transportasi yang terus meningkat sehingga perlu dilakukan perencanaan pendistribusian gas chlorine agar biaya distribusi yang dikeluarkan seminimal mungkin. Perencanaan distribusi gas chlorine didasarkan atas peramalan permintaan produk gas chlorine tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Transportasi Vogel‟s Approximation Method (VAM) dan metode Transportasi Least Cost serta Modified Distribution (MODI) digunakan untuk menentukan biaya distribusi paling minimum. Sedangkan Metode Single Moving Averages dan  Metode Single Exponential Smoothing, digunakan untuk mendapatkan proyeksi permintaan produk gas chlorine. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan peramalan permintaan produk untuk mendapatkan nilai penyimpangan terkecil yang akan digunakan untuk optimasi distribusi dengan waktu dan biaya yang minimum. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peramalan Single Exponential Smoothing mempunyai nilai akurasi lebih tinggi yaitu 710.882 Kilogram. Perhitungan dengan menggunakan Vogels Approximation Method (VAM) biaya pengiriman adalah Rp. 40.549.203.000.000 per tahun. Sedangkan minimasi biaya dengan menggunakan kombinasi metode Least Cost dan Modified Distribution (MODI) didapatkan biaya minimum yaitu Rp. 40.463.283.000.000 per tahun.Kata Kunci:  Biaya Transportasi, Metode Transportasi, Optimasi Distribusi, Peramalan Permintaan Produk.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of varying wind speeds on the power output generated by a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). This type of turbine holds great potential for harnessing wind energy in both urban and rural areas, particularly due to its ability to operate under fluctuating wind directions. The methodology employed is numerical simulation based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which models fluid flow around the turbine rotor at wind speeds ranging from 2 m/s to 12 m/s. Key parameters analyzed include power coefficient (Cp), torque, and mechanical power output. The simulation results indicate a nonlinear relationship between wind speed and power output, where increasing wind speed significantly enhances power up to a certain optimum point, beyond which turbulence and energy losses become more dominant. These findings provide a foundation for optimizing VAWT design and selecting suitable installation sites according to local wind conditions. This research also supports the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly renewable energy technologies, particularly for small- to medium-scale applications.
