Abstract

Amorphophallus muelleri Blume is a ubiquotus plant found all over Indonesia and has the potential to be food substitute due to its high glucose content. This research was conducted to investigate the porang’s clustering based on CslA gene glucose coding by using PCR-RFLP technique. Porangs used as the subjet of this study were obtained from 4 different locations in East Java, wich are : (1) Nganjuk, (2) Madiun, (3) Blitar and (4) Jember, analysed by morphological characteristic and molecular traits. Morphological analysis showed that porang derived based on their stalk pattern. BlitarI, JemberI, MadiunI variant have large prismatic stalk patterns, Jember1 and Nganjuk2 have a tight prismatic stalk pattern. Glucomannan content analysis showed that highest content is from Blitar2 5,469% and the lowest is Madiun2 0,2313%. The amplification of CslA gene sequence using primary AkCslA680F and AkCslA1288R showed that CslA gene sequence was amplified on 200 bp. The cutting by using HaeIII restrictive enzyme produced two monomorphic band on 1000 bp and 2000 bp, and 8 polymorphic band on 100 bp-400 bp. The result of this analysis showed that porang had high diversity. The analysis of among variants clustering based on their molecules data showed that grouping fell into 3 clusters, which were: cluster I (JemberI, BlitarI and MadiunI variants), cluster II (Jember2, Blitar2 and Nganjuk2 variants) and cluster III (Blitar2 variant). The shortest distance was found between JemberI and BlitarI variants, while the furthest was found in Blitar2 variants.

Abstract

Amorphophallus muelleri Blume (porang) is a high-economic value plant widely found in Indonesia, particularly in East Java. The morphological variations of this plant play a significant role in selecting superior seeds and adapting to environmental conditions. Additionally, porang has potential in the energy sector, particularly in biomass energy conversion from its tubers, which are rich in glucomannan. This study aims to analyze the morphological differences of A. muelleri from various regions in East Java and its potential for biomass energy utilization. The observed parameters include the pattern and color of petioles, the shape and color of tubers, and glucomannan content as the main indicator of energy potential. The results indicated three main groups based on petiole patterns: (1) large prismatic, (2) small prismatic, and (3) striped prismatic. The tuber morphology also showed significant differences in shape, color, and water content, which affect energy conversion efficiency. Higher glucomannan content in certain variants suggests their potential as raw materials for bioethanol or renewable energy biomaterials. This emphasizes that morphological variation is not only crucial for selecting superior seeds but also for optimizing energy utilization from porang tubers.

Abstract

This study aims to increase precision in radiotherapy treatment planning by optimizing the estimated Hounsfield Unit (HU) value through calculating CT-scan data as a template. Radiotherapy is a therapy commonly used in the health sector to treat abnormal and uncontrolled growth of organism cells, such as lung cancer, brain tumors, leukemia and bone tumors. Radiotherapy utilizes gamma rays to eliminate abnormal cells through copying, taking into account appropriate radiation dose limits to minimize damage to normal tissue during the copying process. The level of absorption or radiodensity of a network can be expressed in Hounsfield Unit (HU) values. This simulation application design is supported by computer equipment with Intel i3 2 GHz processor specifications supported by 2 GB RAM (Random Access Memory), VGA (Video Graphics Adapter) 1 GB and 160GB hard disk. The device is used to determine the attenuation value (radiation absorption coefficient for each tissue) using the air attenuation value as a reference. The data processing method uses Green Foot software based on the multiplatform Java programming language. The program input is a CT-scan image with Grayscale analysis, and the output is Hounsfield values. The results of this study show that the use of CT-scan data and Hounsfield Unit (HU) calculations can increase the accuracy of radiotherapy planning. Using this technology, the radiation dose can be adjusted more effectively to the targeted area, while still minimizing the impact on surrounding healthy tissue. The integration of CT-scan and HU calculation in this study provides a strong basis for further development, with a focus on improving the precision and efficiency of radiotherapy.

Abstract

Constitution number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (hereinafter abbreviated as "ITE") in this dynamic era. This is considered important because of this sophisticated era, especially among young people (especially students) who are inseparable from technology, especially social media, which can have positive and negative impacts, so it is necessary to inform them that there are legal provisions (both civil and criminal) that can threaten them if they are not careful in using social media to convey expressions or opinions. The problems discussed are regarding students' and teachers' understanding of ITE regulations and the application of sanctions if they violate or commit ITE crimes. So that with this socialization, it is hoped that it can be a learning experience for Malang city residents to be wiser in using social media. This activity was carried out offline and was carried out for two days. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the awareness of Malang city residents regarding their knowledge of ITE regulations is still low, so this activity is considered as a new provision so that they can be more careful in accessing social media.
