Abstract

(Contrastive study between tenses in Japanese and Indonesian Languages) Expressing time in sentences is universal in any language, although it's marked differently in each language. This research objective is to know the differences in tenses marker between Japanese and Indonesian languages. The method used is the descriptive method. As a result of the research findings, it was found that in the Japanese language tenses are marked by morphemic forms were characterized by bound morphemes, whereas Indonesian tenses are marked as lexical by the adverb. Attendance adjunct in Japanese is optional, in Indonesian adjunct explain the position, activity, state of theft with the time of speech.Keywords: tense,  bentuk -ru, bentuk -ta, adverbia kala

Abstract

Noda has an explanation function. The research aims to describe the structure and meaning of noda modality as interpropositional modalitiy. The data were obtained from Japanese website, such as asahi.com, ameba.jp, aozora.gr.jp, yourei.jp, and context.reverso.net. The data collection method in this research is the simak and catat method. Then, using qualitative descriptive method to analysis the structure and meaning of noda modality, while the agih method is used to find out noda modality.’s usage The data presentation stage use informal techniques. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that noda’s modality could be attached to verbs, i-adjectives, na-adjectives and nouns. Noda as an interpropositional modality has two types; “related types” (kankeidzuke) and “unrelated types”  (hikankeidzuke),  and each  types have  its meaning.

Abstract

(Title: Compound Verbs -Hajimeru, -Dasu, -Kakeru as An Inchoative Aspects Marker in Japanese Language) Compound verb -hajimeru, -dasu, and -kakeruare known as marker of inchoative aspects that express the beginning of a state. This study aims to describe the structure and meaning of the three compound verbs in order to be able to use the three markers of this aspect in the right situation. The method used in this research is descriptive method. As a result of the study it was found that the compound verb -hajimeru compound were used to express the beginning of an activity or event in general in Japanese; compound verb -dasu is used to express the beginning of an activity that occurs suddenly; while the compound verb -kakeru states that activity will begin in a moment, or states a moment  after an activity begin .

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce the culture and various conversations used in business, especially in Japanese companies. This training is used to support performance, especially in terms of communication for Indonesian workers who work in Japanese companies. Through this community service activity, workers can optimize performance with the ability to speak Japanese everyday, especially to communicate in the work environment, both with workers from Japan, and with guests from Japan. In addition, through this business Japanese training, it is hoped that workers in Japanese companies will have the confidence to communicate in Japanese so that they can improve the quality and competence of human resources so as to support company productivity.

Abstract

This activities goal is to remind the importance of educating children about life skills and to develop their creativity in order to be able to create and produce functional goods that have economic value so that children may also learn entrepreneurship. Through this community service activity (pengabdian kepada masyarakat), children are encouraged to create ideas and develop their imagination, and skills to create patchwork. This PKM that designed to contain educational, entertainment and attractive elements are expected to foster self-confidence, independence, constructive social abilities and stimulate entrepreneurial  spirit.Keywords: patchwork, life skills education, entrepreneurship.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Jepang bagi siswa SMA sebagai pembekalan menghadapi era globalisasi. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin meningkatnya kebutuhan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kemampuan berbahasa asing dalam menghadapi era globalisasi. Negara Jepang sebagai negara dengan perkembangan ekonomi terkuat ke 3 di dunia telah mempengaruhi dunia melalui budaya, teknologi, ekonomi dan pariwisata. Memiliki keterampilan berbahasa Jepang yang baik menjadi hal utama yang dibutuhkan oleh sumber daya manusia Indonesia yang ingin menjadikan Jepang sebagai tempat meningkatkan kualitas diri dan memperkaya wawasan. Dengan keterampilan berbahasa yang baik, kepercayaan diri siswa akan meningkat diikuti  dengan kemampuan beradaptasi yang cukup untuk meningkatkan daya saing dengan sumber daya manusia dari negara lain. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode pelatihan langsung yang di selenggarakan secara daring. Responden dalam kegiatan pelatihan percakapan dasar bahasa Jepang ini diikuti oleh 30 orang siswa kelas X SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang. Hasil pelatihan percakapan dasar bahasa Jepang ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih membutuhkan banyak pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri. Sekolah mempunyai tugas dan peran untuk menyediakan sarana dan pra sarana untuk memfasilitasi dengan memperbanyak proses pelatihan bahasa Jepang.Kata kunci: pelatihan, bahasa Jepang, globalisasi, sumber daya manusia ABSTRACTThis community service activity aims to improve Japanese language skills for high school students as a debriefing to face the era of globalization. This activity is motivated by the increasing need for human resources who have foreign language skills in facing the era of globalization. Japan as a country with the 3rd strongest economic development in the world has influenced the world through culture, technology, economy and tourism. Having good Japanese language skills is the main thing needed by Indonesian human resources who want to make Japan a place to improve their quality and enrich their knowledge. With good language skills, students' self-confidence will increase followed by sufficient adaptability to increase competitiveness with human resources from other countries. This community service uses direct training methods that are held online. The respondents in this basic Japanese conversation training activity were attended by 30 students of class X SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang. The results of this basic Japanese conversation training show that students still need a lot of training to increase self-confidence. Schools have the duty and role to provide facilities and infrastructure to facilitate the expansion of the Japanese language training process.Keywords: training, Japanese, globalization, human resources

Abstract

This paper discusses  “Compound Verb ~Nukeru in Japanese Sentences”. The objective of this research is to describe the structure and the meaning of Japanese compound verb ~nukeru. The data taken from electronic mass media, electronic articles and, Japanese language websites. Listening method with the tapping technique as the basic technique and the free-of-conversation listening technique (SBLC) and the note-taking technique as the continuation technique are used in providing the required data. Furthermore, analysis of the structure and meaning of the compound verb ~nukeru are carried out using the agih method with the direct element division (BUL) technique and the top down technique. The presentation of the results of data analysis are carried out using an informal method.. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the compound verb ~nukeru is formed from various pre-verbs (V1) and back-verb; nukeru (V2). Furthermore, the compound verb ~nukeru can be attached to intransitive and transitive, progressive, and stative, volitional and non volitional  and motion verbs. The compound verb ~nukeru has 8 meanings, they are penetration, breakthrough/breakout in a fight/game/match, breakthrough/penetration of space, the process of passing from a space, crossing; shortcut; pass; through, excellence; quality; prominence; superiority, renunciation; dismantlement; withdrawal; secession; leave, and sold out in high prices. Meanwhile, the meaning relationship between the pre-verb (V1) and the back-verb (V2); nukeru consists of hobun kankei or complementary relationships, shuushoku-hishuushoku kankei (prefix affixation of verbs), shujutsu-hosoku kankei, and jukugou fukugoudoushi.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dukungan kepada dinas pariwisata Semarang dalam upaya meningkatkan pelayanan bagi wisatawan. Dinas pariwisata Semarang menyediakan panduan wisata Semarang dalam beberapa bahasa, salah satunya dalam bahasa Jepang. Untuk itu dukungan yang diberikan berupa penerjemahan panduan singkat wisata Semarang ke dalam bahasa Jepang. Penerjemahan disusun dalam bentuk paparan yang informatif, komunikatif dan menarik. Dengan panduan wisata yang lengkap wisatawan yang berasal dari Jepang dapat dengan mudah membuat rencana kunjungan dan memilih objek wisata yang akan dikunjungi selama berada di Semarang. Selain itu kegiatan penerjemahan panduan singkat wisata Semarang ke dalam bahasa Jepang ini juga memperkenalkan gambaran proses yang harus dilalui dalam proses penerjemahan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini juga memberi kesempatan mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini untuk mengaplikasikan kemampuan bahasa Jepang khususnya dalam bidang penerjemahan.Kata Kunci: penerjemahan, bahasa Jepang, panduan wisataThis community service activity aims to provide support to the Semarang tourism office in an effort to improve services for tourists. The Semarang tourism office provides Semarang tourism guidebooks in several languages, one of which is in Japanese. For this reason, the support provided is in the form of translation of a short guide to Semarang tourism into Japanese. Translation is structured in the form of informative, communicative and interesting exposure. With a complete travel guide, tourists from Japan can easily make visit plans and choose the attractions to visit while in Semarang. In addition, this short travel guide translation activity into Japanese also introduces an overview of the process that must be passed in the translation process. This community service activity also provides opportunities for students to apply their Japanese language skills, especially in the field of translation.Keywords: translation, Japanese, travel guide

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini memaparkan mengenai kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan sebagai hasil kerjasama program studi dengan Himawari (himpunan mahasiswa S1 Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Jepang). Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kali ini adalah untuk  memperkenalkan dan berbagi ilmu pengetahuan mengenai bahasa dan kebudayaan Jepang kepada para siswa  pembelajar bahasa Jepang di sekolah menengah atas. Kegiatan pengabdian dengan tema berkolaborasi dan berbagi pengetahuan ini diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengetahuan bahasa dan budaya para pembelajar pemula sesuai dengan minat dan kebutuhan para pembelajar tersebut. Sesuai dengan tujuan utamanya, maka melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kali ini, para peserta yang mempunyai minat dan ketertarikan pada bahasa dan budaya Jepang  dapat mengenal aturan penulisan huruf Jepang, penggunaan hiragana dalam ragam persalaman dan pengenalan media belajar. Berbeda dengan kegiatan sebelumnya, pada kegiatan ini para peserta diperkenalkan pada media belajar online Minato yang dapat dipergunakan untuk belajar secara mandiri dan disesuaikan dengan minat pembelajar.Kata kunci: huruf dan kosakata bahasa Jepang; hiragana; Platform MinatoABSTRACTThis article describes the results of community service activities carried out as a collaboratively teachers of Japanese Language and Culture study program with Himawari (Japanese Language and Culture student association). The purpose of this service activity is to introduce and share knowledge about Japanese language and culture to students studying Japanese in high schools in Semarang, especially students of SMAN 12 Semarang. This service activity with the theme of collaborating and sharing knowledge is expected to be able to meet the language and cultural knowledge needs of novice learners in accordance with the interests and needs of these learners. In accordance with its main objective, through this community service activity, participants who have interest in Japanese language and culture can get to know the rules for writing Japanese characters, the use of hiragana in a variety of Japanese vocabulary  and an introduction to learning media. In this activity the participants were introduced to Minato's online learning media which can be used for independent study and adapted to the interests of the learner.Keywords: Japanese letters and vocabulary; hiragana; E-learning Minato

Abstract

This paper discusses the translation of Japanese ecological terms into Indonesian. The objective of this research is to describe the technique of translating ecological terms in the source text to the target text and its equivalence. The data in this study was obtained from the collection of short stories Kaze no Matasaburo and Guskobudori no Denki by Miyazawa Kenji as well as its translations in Indonesian by Unpad Press. The data was collected using the literature study method with note-taking techniques. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the padan method with the basic technique of sorting the determining element (PUP) then continued with the hubung banding technique. The results of data analysis are presented by informal methods. Based on the results of the analysis, translation techniques used in this collection of short stories are, (a) borrowing, (b) calque, (c) transposition, (d) modulation, (e) equivalence, (f) adaptation, (g) borrowing and transposition, (h) modulation and equivalence, and (i) borrowing, transposition, and modulation.
