Abstract

Motivation and social studies learning outcomes in class VII students are still low, one of which is because the learning media is less attractive. For this reason, teachers need to make interesting media so that it helps students in learning. Google Site is one of the alternative learning media that can be obtained for free and is easily accessible by students without the need for special applications, can be opened at any time and is not bound by space and time. This research is a type of classroom action research which is carried out in 2 cycles with the object of research being the seventh grade students of SMP. This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the Google Site media. Data collection techniques using test questions, questionnaires and observations. The expected result of this research is an increase in social studies learning outcomes through the Google Site media.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the subject matter of Social Sciences (IPS). The learning outcome is caused by the teachers only using conventional learning methods and the student being less involved in the learning process. Therefore, teachers need to change the way of learning by using appropriate learning methods so that they are not dull. One of the learning methods used is the Snowball Throwing learning method. Students must be more responsive to receiving messages from others and conveying them to their group friends. A pleasant learning atmosphere makes maximum learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the improvement of social studies learning outcomes with the Snowball Throwing learning method in elementary schools. The subjects in this study were fifth-grade students at SDN Belang for the 2021/2022 academic year, with 21 students consisting of 12 male students and nine female students. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Data to determine students' social studies learning outcomes were collected using test results in multiple-choice tests and analysis with percentages. Based on the data analysis, the number of students who finished studying in the pre-cycle was 12 people or 57.14%, after the first cycle, there were 16 people or 76.19%, the second cycle was 19 people or 90.48%. These data indicate that cooperative learning with the Snowball Throwing method can improve social studies learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators and learning resources in a learning environment. Ideal learning can be realized if it is supported by an ideal teacher. Therefore, teachers must be able to choose and use strategies or learning methods well. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers must be able to adapt in choosing and using learning strategies or methods. One of the learning methods that can be used is the PjBL (project based learning) method. This study aims to describe how the implementation of the PjBL (project based learning) method and its effect on social studies learning outcomes during the covid 19 pandemic. This research method is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques with interviews and literature study. Interviews are used as a data collection technique if the researcher wants to know things from respondents who are more in-depth and the number of respondents is small or small. Literature study was carried out with a content approach. The data collected was then analyzed qualitatively with an inductive approach. The results showed that the PjBL (project based learning) method was widely used by teachers because this method was student-centered. The implementation of learning is focused on learning life skills/skills. The teacher gives projects to students to work on independently or in groups. The teacher monitors the progress of learning through WAG or google meet. This method is able to provide student activities that affect the improvement of learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of observational journals on the assessment of sportsmanship and cooperation in the football material of class IX-G students of SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo. The aims of this study are: (1) To improve the character of sportsmanship in class IX-G students of SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo, (2) To improve the character of cooperation in class IX-G students of SMP Negeri 4. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo with 32 students as research subjects. The object of this research is the character of sportsmanship and cooperation through the provision of sanctions on football material. The instruments used in this study were sportsmanship questionnaires and cooperation questionnaires. The results showed that efforts to improve the character of sportsmanship and cooperation through the provision of sanctions in the form of (1) verbal reprimand, (2) light physical punishment. Through the provision of sanctions when learning soccer material, especially to improve the character of sportsmanship and cooperation, this can be seen after research when playing simple football the sporty character has reached 100% while the cooperative character has reached 90%, so that the provision of sanctions can improve the character of sportsmanship and cooperation.

Abstract

The selection of learning models used by teachers in learning activities is one of the determining factors for the success of student learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Word Square learning model on social studies learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Bintaos, Tepus, Gunungkidul Regency. The research subjects were students of class VI SD Negeri Bintaos with a total of 20 students consisting of 9 male students and 11 female students. This research is a Quasi Experiment, using the Control Group Pretest and Posttest design. Data was collected by using test results in the form of pretest and posttest to determine students' social studies learning outcomes. The results showed that the difference in the average value in the experimental group and the control group. The average value of the experimental group was 82.70 while the average value of the control group was 74.70. The results of the calculation of the t test, sig. (2-tailed) 0.031 <0.05 which indicates that Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be said that the Word Square learning model has an effect on social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of education today is influenced by the rapid progress of information and communication technology. One of the information technologies that play a role in the world of education is online learning. Online learning functions as a liaison between educators and students with an internetnet work that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The online media used by the research subjects were various (Sway,Form). The purpose of this study is to identify online learning activities at the homes of students as an effort to support government programs, namely study from home during the Covid 19 pandemic and to analyze the effectiveness of online learning. The method used in data collection was a question and answer session to sources,namely primary school teachers through interviews. The results showed that online learning that was carried out at home made students more independent and created motivation to learn. Inaddition, online learning is one of the successes in creating social distancing behavior soas to minimize the appearance of crowds which are considered to have the potential to spread Covid19 in the school environment. However, it is still ineffective in its implementation due to various obstacles such as economic capability, mastery of technology, internet quota, and inadequate network.

Abstract

Science and technology continue to develop at an increasingly fast pace. As a form of positive interaction with the development of science and technology, learning activities need to use information technology advance to improve the learning process of students to gain broader insight and experience to achieve 21st-century educational competence. The development of learning media utilizes social media favored by teenagers is expected to be used as a means to display abstract social studies concepts to be seen as concrete. The use of the Instagram application offers various simplicity in presenting material through photos or videos with attractive designs so that it can stimulate the enhancement in the learning activity of students studying social studies study material. This paper aims to find and explain the use of the Instagram application in increasing the social studies learning activity of junior high school students. This study uses a qualitative method with digital observations to the Instagram application and a literature review about student learning activities. The use of the Instagram application that offers various conveniences in presenting material through photos or videos with attractive designs can stimulate the enhancement in the learning activity of students studying social studies study material. Supported by uploaded material that can be accessed anywhere, and for unlimited use. Students can also respond in the form of comments for videos or pictures of other groups.

Abstract

Pandemic During the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently engulfing the world, including Indonesia, there have been various social movements aimed at tackling the outbreak. One of the social movements as a result of policies from the government in the context of dealing with Covid-19 is the implementation of PPKM which is always extended to an unpredictable time limit before Covid-19 disappears. PPKM has an impact on the implementation of learning in Indonesia. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how PPKM influences the increase in the role of teachers in learning in the Covid-19 pandemic era. In this study, the author uses qualitative methods through literature studies and documentation studies related to the influence of the PPKM social movement on increasing the role of teachers in the Covid-19 pandemic era from various relevant sources. The results of the discussion show the influence of PPKM on increasing the role of teachers in learning in the era of the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of life. One of them is in the field of education. Teachers must be able to use technology to improve learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning activities must continue to prioritize educational goals, namely integrating knowledge, skills, attitudes, and mastery of technology. Online learning is an alternative that can overcome these problems. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities are endeavored to use innovative online learning media. Various media can be used to carry out online learning. This study aims to explain the role of teachers in the use of online learning technology during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research method used is literature study. The results showed that the teacher's role in the use of WhatsApp Group media could improve learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. In an effort to support the continuity of the education and learning process, WhatsApp Group can be used as a learning medium, so that learning can take place without being limited by space and time. WhatsApp Group is one of the easy online learning media and provides online classes through the group chat feature. By using WhatsApp Group educators can provide encouragement to arouse, stimulate, and increase students' learning motivation, so that learning objectives can be achieved properly. . Through the WhatsApp Group application, a teacher can provide material briefly to students.
