Abstract

Perusakan lingkungan sebagai akibat ulah manusia dapat mengancam kehidupan manusia itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengembangan pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat Kuta dalam membentuk karakter warga negara yang berwawasan lingkungan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian konseptual dengan metode library research, yakni mengumpulkan data-data dari laporan penelitian, artikel ilmiah atau sumber lain yang relevan dengan topik. Analisis dari pembahasan ini menjelaskan bahwa kearifan lokal masyarakat Kuta yang secara turun temurun menjaga kelestarian hutan adat atau Leuweung Gede dapat membentuk karakter yang peduli akan lingkungan hidup yang baik dan bersih. Maka untuk membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik perlu dilakukan upaya: 1) revitalisasi epistemologi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan; 2) penanaman nilai keadaban masyarakat lokal terhadap lingkungan dalam proses pembelajaran; Upaya ini kemudian diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sehingga dapat menguatkan karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik sebagai warga negara.Environmental destruction as a result of human activity can threaten human life itself. This study aims to examine the development of Citizenship Education learning based on the local wisdom of the Kuta community in shaping the character of citizens with an environmental perspective. This research is conceptual research using the library research method, which collects data from research reports, scientific articles, or other sources relevant to the topic. The analysis of this discussion explains that the local wisdom of the Kuta community which has been hereditary to preserve the customary forest or Leuweung Gede can form a character that cares about a good and clean environment. So to form a character that cares about the environment, students need to make efforts: 1) revitalizing the epistemology of Citizenship Education; 2) inculcating the value of the local community's civility towards the environment in the learning process; This effort is then applied in Citizenship Education learning so that it can strengthen the character of caring for the environment of students as citizens.

Abstract

Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana peranan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam meminimalisir terjadinya bencana sosial. Dalam perjalanan panjang sejarah bangsa Indonesia, diuraikan secara jelas bahwa negara Indonesia dibangun atas adanya perbedaan suku bangsa, budaya, adat istiadat dan agama. Keberagaman ini rentan untuk terjadinya bencana sosial. Ketegangan sosial dan konflik horisontal serta teror masih acapkali terjadi. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai pendidikan nilai dan karakter Pancasila menyiapkan generasi muda menjadi warga negara Pancasilais yang cinta tanah air, mempunyai sikap untuk membela negara dan siap berkorban demi keutuhan bangsa dan negara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif terhadap realitas yang ada dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan kebenaran ilmiah yang alamiah dengan melakukan penafsiran terhadap fenomena sosial dalam bentuk studi literatur. Dari hasil kajian literatur didapat bahwa revitalisasi epistemologis Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dapat menguatkan karakter bangsa untuk meminimalisir terjadinya bencana sosial.This paper is intended to find out how is the role of Civic Education in minimizing the social disasters. In the history of Indonesia’s struggle, it is clearly explained that the state of Indonesia is built on the differences in ethnicity, culture, customs and religion. This diversity is vulnerable to social disasters. Terror, social tensions and horizontal conflicts among groups or communities still occur frequently. Civic Education as character education based on Pancasila values prepares young generation to become Pancasilais citizens who love the motherland, have attitudes to defend the country and are ready to sacrifice for the integrity of the nation and state of Indonesia. The research method used is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive towards the existing reality with the purpose of obtaining natural scientific truths by interpreting social phenomenon in the form of literature review. From the results of the literature study it was found that the epistemological revitalization of Civic Education can strengthen the nation's character in order to minimize the social disasters.

Abstract

At this time, the political civilization of the younger generation is faced with a paradoxical condition. His high political awareness and participation contradict his political behavior which shows skepticism and apathy towards parliament and political parties that are supposed to accommodate his aspirations. They are often trapped in the echo chambers or social media algorithms that polarize so that it is easy to attack someone's personality in an uncivilized way. It's easy to throw hate speech on various social media platforms without first thinking about the impact it will cause. SDGs-based Civic Education Learning is an ethical basis towards political civility, but this seems to be still at the conceptual level. It has not been really implemented. The purpose of this study is to formulate and analyze a PKn learning model based on SDGs, especially SDG 16 to realize the political civility of young citizens. The research uses a qualitative research model with a classroom action approach that is carried out in a collaborative, participatory manner. Data was obtained from the results of participant observation and document analysis. The results of the study show that the learning of the Civic-Action Learning model in SDGs-based Civic Education learning can produce students who are able to analyze every event based on data and facts, show empathy, tolerance and high social concern, and be active in every real civic action.
