Abstract

The study wasconducted from 3stof May to 10th June 2017.The research to do cultivation technology faculty of fisheries and marine University of Riau. The research was conducted to determine the dose of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) of Ephinepelus lanceolatus supplemented in the commercial diet that generates the best performance on body weight, body length, specific growth rate, survival rate, feed efficiency, and feed convertion rate of river Bawal Air Tawar (Colossoma macroponum)in resirculation system. The dose of rElGH administrated was 1, 2, 3 and 4 mg/kg of commercial feed and no rGHsupplementation as control. Each treatment was design in triplicates. Pomfret fish at average 3-4 cm were reared in aaquarium in a density 10 fish/aquarium for 30 days. The fish were fed with the rElGH suplplemented diet once a three days at satiation. The results showed that growth body weight of 2 mg/kg feed was (8,25g), Specific growth rate 9,21 %, feed efficiency (107,7%), Feed convertion rate (0,96%),(P<0.05) than other treatment.Length of 2 mg/kg feed was 4,02 cm higher than other treatment, Survival rate of 3 mg/kg feed was 100 %.(P>0.05) than other treatment. Thus, supplementation rGH 2 mg/kg feed of Pomfret fish once in three days can be applied in enhance the growth Pomfret fish with a best performance of growth.Keyword: Pomfret fish, recombinant growth hormone, resirculation system

Abstract

Silk worms is one kind of natural food like fish larvae because they contain good nutrients for the growth of fish larvae. This study aims to determine the appropriate amount of fertilizer and the implementation of systems of recirculation to the growth of silk worms. The research was conducted on July 29 to September 18, 2016 placed in a field laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The media used is in the form of sludge reservoirs, dedek smooth, tofu, chicken manure and EM4. While the materials used are silk worms obtained from collectors. Experimental method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 levels of the factor treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments used: P0: without the use of chicken manure, P1: 500 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2, P2: 600 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2, and P3: 700 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2. The data observed is the growth of biomass weight, average length, and water quality. The results of this study with the treatment of chicken manure fertilizer of different very significant effect (P <0.05) on the growth of biomass weight of silk worms. Biomass is highest in treatment P3 (700 g chicken manure / 0.098 m2) in 69 g. As for the average length, chicken manure fertilizer does not affect significantly different (P> 0.05). The average length of the highest in treatment P2 (1.83 cm). Water quality measured during the study was the temperature (25-29˚C), pH (6-7), dissolved oxygen (6,0-6,5 ppm), and CO2-free (2,0-3,5 ppm). From this study it can be concluded that giving different chicken manure can affect the growth of silk wormsKey Words : Tubifex sp, sludge reservoirs, chicken manure, biomass, dan average length

Abstract

This study was conducted from 17 March until 28 April 2014 in the waters of Hamlet Village Sugie Subdistrict Moro Karimun District of Riau Islands province. The method used is an experimental with 1 factors and five level of treatment and 3 replications. 1 meter rope tied with 100 g of seaweed seed with different space of 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm and 30 cm respectively. Data were analyzed using ANAVA (P<0.05). Based on the findings that the was best of (Kappaphycus alvarezii) on density with the specific growth rate highest of 30 cm was (766.67 g/clump; 4.99%) and the lowest density of 10 cm with an average weight (212 g/clump; 1.80%). while the highest dried seaweed production was in the treatment of 15 cm with a dry weight of 370.42 g/ hanging rope and the lowest of 10 cm with a weight of dry production 265 g/ hanging rope.Keyword : K. alvarezii, Seaweed Production, Hanging Rope Method, Growth, Karimun

Abstract

This research was conducted from May until Juny 2013 at LaboratoryAquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research wasto investigate growth of the African catfish with high stocking density in bioflocktechniques. This research using exsperimental method and Completely RandomDesign (RAL) with three treatments and three replications, there are P1: stockingdensity of African catfish 100 fish/m2, P2: stocking density of African catfish 200fish/m2, dan P3: stocking density of African catfish 300 fish/m2. The result showedthat African catfish with high density in bioflock techniques was not effectedsignificantly on absolute growth weight, absolute growth length, daily growth rateand survival rate. But the best treatments in this research was stocking density offish 200 fish/m2, with high growth weight rate 17,25 g, lenght growth rate 7,84cm, daily growth rate 6,65%, and survival rate 94,66%.Keyword : African catfish, High density, Bioflock technology

Abstract

Pangasius polyuranodon Blkr is Indonesia’s endemic spesies which need to bedomesticated for species preservation. The aim of this research is to find out thetechnique to domesticate P. polyuranodon Blkr from nature habitat and keep it incontrol aquaculture system, as well as also to apply resirculation system inkeeping it so that water quality is maintained well in order to support P.polyuranodon Blkr life. The method used in this research is experiment by usingComplete Random Design (CRD), where the treatments were P0 = unfilteredresirculation, P1 = sponge filter resirculation, P2 = active charcoal filterresirculation and P3 = zeolite filter resirculation. The result of this research is P.polyuranodon Blkr enable to domesticated in control aquaculture system. Thebest treatment from this research is P3 with amonia range from 0,08 – 0,11 mg/L,nitrat range is between 0,07 – 0,11 mg/L and nitrite range between 0,07 – 0,09mg/L. The P3’s treatment produce absolute growth of 9,24 g, the increase ofspecific growth 1,76%, the growth of biomass of 62,63 gr, the feeding efficiency28,06% and survival rate of 86,66%.Keywords: Pangasius polyuranodon Blkr, domestication, filterd resirculation, water quality, survival rate.
