Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the dose of recombinant growthhormone (rGH) of Ephinepelus lanceolatus supplemented in the commercial diet thatgenerates the best performance on body weight, body length, specific growth rate, survival rate, feed efficiency, and feed convertion rate of river catfish (Hemibagrusnemurus) in aquaponic system using leafy vegetable (Ipomea reptans). The dose ofrGH administrated was 3, 6, and 9 mg/kg of commercial feed and no rGHsupplementation as control. Each treatment was design in triplicates. Catfishes ataverage 5-7 cm were reared in a fiber tank in a density 23 fish/tank for 30 days. Thefish were fed with the rGH suplplemented diet once a three days at satiation. Theresults showed that growth body weight (4,84 g) and length (3,4 cm), feed efficiency(94.76%) of fish treated by rGH with the doses of 3 mg/kg feed was higher (P<0.05)than other treatment. Specific growth rate of 3 mg/kg feed was 3,69 %, higher thanother treatment. Feed convertion rate of rGH 3mg/kg feed (1.06) was lower than othertreatment. Thus, supplementation rGH 3 mg/kg feed of catfish once in three days canbe applied in enhance the growth catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) with a bestperformance of growth.Keyword: river catfish, recombinant growth hormone, aquaponic

Abstract

Fermented water hyacinth by Aspergillus niger can be used as alternative ingredient replacing soymeal for feed in striped catfish. The experimental designed consist of five treatment substitution of soymeal used fermented water hyacinth and three repliacate:  T0 (feed without FWH); T1 (25% FWH); P2 ( 50% FWH); P3 (75% FWH); and P4 (100% FWH. ). A total of 375 Striped catfish weight 4.21 ± 0.42 g were stocked with a density of 25 fish m-3 in fixed net cages. The study was conducted for 42 days. The results showed that the treatment given improved growth, feed convertion, and survival rate of striped catfish at dose FWH 50% It is recommended that substitution FWH 50% can used to replacing soymeal for feed striped catfish

Abstract

In the fish hatchery business, the availability of silkworm feed is very limited, therefore, it is necessary to use substitute feed in the form of artificial feed produced through a fermentation process using EM4. The study was conducted from February to April 2023 at The Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of differences in duration of feeding times on the growth and survival of freshwater pomfret (C. macropomum) larvae, and to determine whether fermented artificial feed can be used as an alternative feed for silk worms. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications. Treatment used P1 = silk worm feed for 40 days, P2 = commercial feed for 40 days, P3 = fermented commercial feed for 40 days, P4 = silk worm feed for 30 days, and commercial feed fermentation for 10 days, P5 = Feed for silk worms for 20 days and commercial feed fermentation for 20 days, and P6 = Silk worm feed for 10 days, and commercial feed fermentation for 30 days. Larvae were reared for 40 days with a stocking density of 2 individuals/liter. The results showed that the best treatment was obtained in treatment P5 (20 days of silk worms + 20 days of commercial feed fermentation), with an absolute weight growth of 2.11 grams, an absolute length growth of 4.34 cm, a specific growth rate (LPS) of 16.23% / day, and a survival rate of 84.44%. Abstract

Bencana banjir dan longsor di Nagari Koto Kaciak, Kabupaten Agam, membuat ekonomi warga sulit. Sekitar 68% keluarga mitra mengalami penurunan penghasilan sebesar 25–40% setiap bulan.
