Abstract

The study was conducted from 1st of April to 10th May 2017. The research to do cultivation technology faculty of fisheries and marine University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The aim of the research is to know about the dose of additional red spinach flour in made feed that aims to enhance color quality to goldfish. This research used experimental method completely randomized design, with 5 level of treatments and 3 replications. The addition were given by P0 pelet FF-999 (control), P1(red spinach flour 2%), P2(red spinach flour 3%), P3 (red spinach flour 4%), P4 (red spinach flour 5%). Maintenance container that used of 60x40x40 cm, aquarium size with water volume of 60 liter with recirculation system. The used of fish as many as 15 tails/basin. The given of food to fish of 3 replication with ad satiation. The measurement of fish color with the growth of sampling done at the beginning, middle, and at the end. Whereas to success of life calculated in begin and ending researd. Parameter of water quality the measured temperature pH, DO, ammonia of measured begin and at the end. The result research showed that the additional red spinach flour in the feed the given influence to the color of change of godfish with 9,81 color gradiation. 2,51 cm absolute length accretion, 6,29 gram absolute weight accretion, the best of succer of life to treatment P2 and P4 of 100%.Keywords: goldfish, change of color, growth of fish, maintenance

Abstract

The research about the increasing Calcium Oxide (CaO) to accelerate moulting and survival rate vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was conducted from Agustus until September 2015 at Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau, Instalasi Pembenihan Udang (IPU) Gelung, Situbondo Provinsi Jawa Timur. The purpose of this research was to investigate optimum doses calcium oxide to accelerate moulting and the survival rate vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Vannamei shrimp with size PL25 were used in the research. The stoples that used 25L and filled with water 20L. The treatment given is giving of calcium oxide with different doses namely dose of 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg and added with the control treatment. This research uses Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 1 factor 3 levels and 3 replication. Calcium Oxide (CaO) with doses of 75mg can produce intensity of moulting 43 times and survival rate vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) of 85%.Keywords: Calcium Oxide, Vannamei shrimp, moulting, survival rate

Abstract

This research was conducted from April to May 2013, for 45 days in Breeding Laboratory Unit of Fisheries Faculty and Marine Sciences, University of Riau Pekanbaru. The aims research was to improve water quality through a recirculation system by using different filters to rear of river catfish (Mystus nemurus). The Method used was experiment with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were P0 = control, P1 = roofed substrate, gravel, and sand, P2 = zeolites substrate, P3 = sponge substrate. The best result was treatment P2 with absolute growth weights (4,01 g), absolute growth length (5,18 cm), daily growth rate (1,96 %) and survival rate 91,11%. Water quality parameters were recorded during in the research such as ammonia (NH3) 0,02-0,07 mg/l, nitrite (NO2) 2,43-0,02 mg/l, nitrate (NO3) 4,32-0,04 mg/l, temperature 29-310 C, pH 5-6, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3,90-4,90 mg/l and (CO2) 7,99-11,98 mg/l respectively.Key words : River catfish (Mystus nemurus), recirculation, filters

Abstract

This research was conducted from May until Juny 2013 at LaboratoryAquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research wasto investigate growth of the African catfish with high stocking density in bioflocktechniques. This research using exsperimental method and Completely RandomDesign (RAL) with three treatments and three replications, there are P1: stockingdensity of African catfish 100 fish/m2, P2: stocking density of African catfish 200fish/m2, dan P3: stocking density of African catfish 300 fish/m2. The result showedthat African catfish with high density in bioflock techniques was not effectedsignificantly on absolute growth weight, absolute growth length, daily growth rateand survival rate. But the best treatments in this research was stocking density offish 200 fish/m2, with high growth weight rate 17,25 g, lenght growth rate 7,84cm, daily growth rate 6,65%, and survival rate 94,66%.Keyword : African catfish, High density, Bioflock technology

Abstract

This research was conducted from June until August 2015 at Laboratory Aquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and three replications, there are P1 : every 5 days given bacterial inoculant , P2 : every 10 days given bacterial inoculant, P3 : every 15 days given bacterial inoculant . The result showed that african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques affect significantly on the growth of absolute weight and absolute length growth but does not affect the specific growth rate and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment every 5 days given bacterial inoculant, with value growth of absolute weight 125,27 g, growth in absolute length 17,43 cm, specific growth rate 8,22% and survival rate 95,78%.Keyword : african catfish, inoculant bacteria, Bioflocs technology
