Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui atau menguji validitas dan reliabilitas serta membuat norma atau nilai standar dari tes pemahaman, tes penalaran, dan tes berhitung adaptasi Fakultas Psikologi UGM. Data penelitian diperoleh dari dokumentasi pada Biro Psikologi Pengembangan SDM Fakultas Psikologi UGM yang merupakan data tes terhadap calon karyawan dan karyaawan dari berbagai instansi, dan terdiri dari testi pria dan wanita dengan tingkat pendidikan terdiri dari Sekolah Lanjutan Atas, Sarjana Muda dan Sarjana.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of The Anti Bullying and Teasing Program Community Theme to decrease bullying behavior in kindergarten classroom. This study involved two classroom from the same kindergartens with total 27 children in both classroom. Teachers and kindergarten involved in this study all agreed to engage in the research, and also to not apply any other similar programs in their school and classrooms. All of the teachers in both classroom had already had more than three years teaching experience. The untreated control group with removed treatment design was applied in this study to determine the program’s influence. The program was conducted based on The Anti Bullying and Teasing Book for Preschool Classroom, had six hours of intensive orientation activities for the teachers and ten sessions of community theme activity to be implemented by the teachers in their classroom. Results suggest that The Anti Bullying and Teasing Prgoram Community Theme did decrease bullying behavior.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to see the effectiveness of the reading tutorial program in increasing children reading ability with low socioeconomic status. The reading tutorial program provides a variety of chances to practice and do activities in reading. This program was expected to enhance the children’s reading ability. The focuses of enhancement in the children’s reading ability were: (1) sight word acquisition and (2) reading fluency. The subjects of this research were first grade students with poor reading ability and low socioeconomic status. This research used an Untreated Control Group Design with pretest and posttest. The result of this study shows that the reading tutorial program is effective in increasing children’s reading ability in sight word acquisition (SW) and fluency in word correct per minute (WPM). Tujuan studi ini adalah melihat keefektivan program tutorial membaca dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak yang berstatus sosioekonomi lemah. Program tutorial membaca ini menyediakan berbagai kesempatan untuk mempraktikkan dan beraktivitas ketika membaca. Program ini diharapkan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak. Fokus peningkatan dalam kemampuan membaca adalah: (1) akuisisi kata yang terlihat dan (2) kelancaran membaca. Para subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas satu dengan kemampuan membaca yang rendah dan bersatus sosioekonomi lemah. Studi ini menggunakan desain Kelompok Kendali Tanpa Perlakuan dengan pra-uji dan pasca-uji. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa program tutorial membaca ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dan kelancaran membaca anak dalam penguasaan kata yang tampak dan kelancaran kata benar per menit.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know how the impact of psychoeducation group to the level of parenting stress of parents who raise a child with autism spectrum disorder. This research used quasi experimental method with the design of the untreated control group with dependent pretest and posttest samples. This research involved 25 parents  (20 mothers and 5 fathers) who raise a child with autism spectrum disorder divided into two groups, experimental group and  the control group. The experimental group has received psychoeducation treatment with ecological approach for two months (8 meetings, conducted once a week). This research used Scale of Parenting Stress, observation, test of knowledge about parenting of children with autism spectrum disorder, and sheet of evaluation of psychoeducationactivities  in collecting the data. The result of the analysis with mixed anovahave shown that psychoeducation group has no effect to the level  of parenting stress (F = 0,697 p > 0,05). The result of check manipulation have shown that the knowledge of subject on parenting of children with autism increase after join in the psychoeducation group.

Abstract

Introduction: Studies show that student perception is an important determinant of student behaviour. Understanding the students’ perception is very useful for teachers to determine the appropriate learning approach for their students. The aim of this study is to find the effect of epistemological belief factor on students’ perception to tutors’ role in PBL tutorial discussion.Methods: This research is a qualitative research about student perception of tutor ‘s role in Problem Based Learning discussion. Respondents for this study consisted of 18 medical students that were divided into two groups based on their epistemological belief maturity level. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the respondents about their perception and expectations of how the tutor should works in accompanying students during the Problem Based Learning discussion. Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis.Results: The results show that students' perceptions of tutor‘s role are influenced by the differences of their problem-solving strategies. Students with simple knowledge perspective have the perception that the ideal tutor is a tutor who can make the discussions become structured and more orderly. Meanwhile, the group of students with mature epistemological beliefs argue that ideal tutors are the ones who can do critical analysis during Problem Based Learning discussion.Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there is influence of epistemological belief maturity level to the students’ perception to tutors’ role in Problem Based Learning discussion.
