Abstract

Hepatoprotektif Ekstrak Etanol Daun dan Buah Kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) pada Tikus yang di induksi Alkohol Hendro Pranoto*, Meida NugrahaliaDepartement Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia*Corresponding authors: hendrop.unimed77@gmail.comABSTRAKJalur utama metabolisme etanol terjadi pada jaringan hepar sehingga kerusakan terparah akibat meminum alkohol terjadi di organ ini. Terapi pengobatan menggunakan herbal untuk hepatoprotektif merupakan fokus penelitian tanaman obat saat ini. Tanaman kersen sudah digunakan secara tradisional di berbagai negara untuk keperluan pengobatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensi hepatoprotektif ekstrak etanol daun kersen (EEDK) dan ekstrak etanol buah kersen (EEBK) pada tikus putih (Rattus novergicus Sprague Dawley strain). 30 ekor tikus dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok yaitu kelompok I  (diberikan 10 mL / KgBB CMC 0.5%); kelompok II (diberikan 3 mL alkohol 30%): kelompok III (diberikan 25 mg / KgBB sylimarin and 3 mL alcohol 30%); kelompok IV (500 mg / KgBB EEDK and 3mL alkohol 30%) and kelompok V (500 mg / KgBB EEBK and 3 mL alkohol 30%) for 15 days. Parameter yang diukur meliputi indeks organ hati, histopatologi hati, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, SGPT, ALP, total protein and albumin. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey menggunakan SPPS versi 22. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa terdapat penurunan yang signifikan pada indeks organ hati, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, SGPT and ALP jika dibandingkan dengan tikus yang di induksi dengan alkohol (kelompok II). Total protein dan albumin mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok II. Hasil skrining fitokimia bahwa pada daun dan buah kersen mengandung senyawa alkaloid, falvonoid, fenol dan terpenoid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa baik EEDK dan EEBK berpotensi sebagai hepatoprotektif pada tikus yang diinduksi alkohol.. Kata Kunci: daun Kersen, buah Kersen, hepatoprotektif Hepatoprotective Ethanol Extracts of Kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) Leaves and Fruit in Alcohol-Induced Rats ABSTRACTHerbal therapy for hepatoprotective therapy currently becomes the focus of the study in medicinal plants. Kersen have been used traditionally in various countries for medicinal purposes. This study was conducted to determine the hepatoprotective potential of ethanol extract of Kersen leaves (EEKL) and ethanol extract of Kersen fruits (EEKF) in laboratory rats (Rattus novergicus Sprague Dawley strain). 30 rats were divided into 6 groups namely group I (given 10mL/KgBW CMC 0.5%); group II (given 3mL 30% alcohol); group III (given 25 mg / KgBW silymarin and 3 mL of 30% alcohol); group IV (given 500 mg/kg BW of EEKL and 3mL of 30% alcohol); and group V (given 500 mg/kg BW of EEKF and 3mL of 30% alcohol) for 15 days. The parameters measured included the index of the liver, liver histopathology, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, SGPT, ALP, total protein, and albumin. The obtained data were analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey test using SPSS version 22.From the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant decrease in the index of the liver, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, SGPT, and ALP compared to the rats induced with alcohol (group II). Total protein and albumin experienced a significant increase compared to group II. Phytochemical screening results showed that the leaves and cherries contain an alkaloid, flavonoid, phenols, and terpenoids. Thus, it can be concluded that both EEKL and EEKF have the potential to be hepatoprotective in alcohol-induced rats. Keywords: Kersen leaves, Kersen fruit, hepatoprotective

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh puree tomat terhadap berat testis, volume testis, diameter tubulus seminiferus, dan jumlah sel Leydig tikus putih. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non faktorial menggunakan 25 ekor tikus putih. Penelitian ini mempunyai lima taraf perlakuan yaitu P0 sebagai kontrol tidak diberi perlakuan; P1 diberi MSG 0,96gr/200gr BB setiap hari selama 15 hari; P2 diberi MSG 0,96 gr/200gr BB selama 15 hari setelah itu diberi 0,74gr/200 gr BB puree tomat selama 30 hari; P3 diberi MSG 0,96 gr/200gr BB selama 15 hari setelah itu diberi 1,49gr/200 gr BB puree tomat selama 30 hari; P4 diberi MSG dengan dosis 0,96 gr/200gr BB selama 15 hari setelah itu diberi 2,24gr/200 gr BB puree tomat selama 30 hari. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan ANOVA kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa puree tomat berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap berat testis dan jumlah sel Leydig. Dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap volume testis dan diameter tubulus seminiferus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang berarti antara Komunikasi (Verbal Dan Non-Verbal) Guru dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar dengan Hasil Belajar Biologi Pada Materi Sel Unit Terkecil Kehidupan dan Bioproses di SMA Negeri 16 Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016 Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 16 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2014/2015. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 16 Medan dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 3 dan 4 yang berjumlah 80 orang dengan cara teknik proposive sampling (sampling bertujuan). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi dengan  kuesioner (angket) sebagai alat pengumpul data penelitian. Dari hasil analisis uji persyaratan data diketahui bahwa baik data komunikasi (verbal dan non-verbal) guru dalam proses belajar mengajar maupun hasil belajar biologi pada materi sel unit terkecil kehidupan dan bioproses dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan tehnik korelasi. Berdasarkan perhitungan koefisien korelasi besarnya nilai korelasi yaitu (0.6485) terdapat di antara 0.60 – 0.80, berarti komunikasi (verbal daan non-verbal) guru memiliki interpretasi korelasi cukup terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. Besarnya kontribusi komunikasi (verbal daan non-verbal) guru sebesar 42,06% terhadap hasil belajar biologi. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan berarti antara Komunikasi (Verbal Dan Non-Verbal) Guru dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar dengan Hasil Belajar Biologi Pada Materi Sel Unit Terkecil Kehidupan dan Bioproses di Kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 16 Tahun Pembelajaran 2015/2016.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of 5E (Engagement - Exploration – Explanation –Elaboration – Evaluation) Learning Model toward student learning outcomes on humannervous system concepts. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 8 Medan, academicyear 2014/2015. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental methods. The populationin this research is all grade XI science students SMAN 8 Medan with 5 (five) classes academicyear 2014/2015. From the population was taken 80 students as the sample by using randomsampling. They are students of class XI Science 3 (consist of 40 students) as an experimentalclass use 5E Learning Model, while the students of class XI IPA 4 (consist of 40 students) as acontrol use direct learning model. The early data be obtained from the average pretest thatvalue of 55.16 post-test from experimental class and control class 53.66. For posttest inexperiment class is 80.92 and control class is 74.33. After that tested by normality test,homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on data from result of research used to obtainis 3.88 and at 5% significance level of 1.991. Because t-test > t-table so theresults of this research indicate that there were significant difference toward leraning outcomebetween experimental class use 5E Learning Model and control class use direct learning modelon human nervous system concept.Keyword: 5E Learning Model, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas aplikasi Kahoot! sebagai alat evaluasi kognitif pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia kelas XI di SMA Negeri 6 Medan T.A 2020/2021. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI MIA 3 dan kelas XI IIS 1. Disain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari soal kognitif berbentuk pilihan berganda dan angket efektivitas aplikasi alat evaluasi kognitif untuk siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 84,29 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol 73,71, nilai rata-rata angket efektivitas aplikasi alat evaluasi kelas eksperimen 86,97 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 60,03, dan nilai rata-rata angket guru terkait efektivitas Kahoot! sebagai alat evaluasi kognitif adalah 88,75. Nilai efektivitas yang didapatkan dengan membandingkan nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 1,38 yang menunjukkan aplikasi Kahoot! lebih efektif dibandingkan aplikasi paper and pen. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Kahoot! sebagai alat evaluasi kognitif efektif digunakan pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia kelas XI di SMA Negeri 6 Medan T.A 2020/2021.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Kahoot!, dan Evaluasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based practice on student learning outcome and process skill in cell material in class XI Science Kartika Private High School 1-2 T.P 2018/2019. This research was conducted in July-September, at SMA Kartika 1-2 Medan. The population of this study was all students of class XI as many as 179 people. Samples are taken randomly. There were as many as 72 students. Statistical analysis showed that the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class are pretest of 63.22 and posttest of 82.89, while the control class pretest is 59.55 and the posttest is 69.44. Then hypothesis test (t-test) showed that (tcount = 5.4561 > ttable = 1.997). Which is means that the problem-based practice has a significant effect on the learning outcome. Besides, practice using PBL models can improve student process skills. This is shown in the results of the experimental class observation sheet having an average process skill in the “High” category. Whereas in the control class the average process skill is only up to the “Medium” category. So it can be concluded that the Problem-based practice has a significant effect on the learning outcome and process skill of class XI students of Private Kartika Senior High School 1-2 Medan T.P 2018/2019.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find out The Implementation of GroupInvestigation Model on Learning Outcomes at The Topic Ecosystem Class X in SMANegeri 11 Medan Academic Year 2014/2015. Therefore, an experimental researchwas carried as the research as a research design. The population was 2014/2015academic years students, in the second years students of SMAN 11 Medan,especially the students of class X which consisted of 320 students. From thepopulation was taken 80 students as the sample by using Random Sampling. Theywere divided into two groups, 40 students in experimental groups taught by usinggroup investigation model and 40 students in control group taught by using directinstruction.Based on the result of research obtained the mean pretest in class control44.8 and experimental class 51.7, this shows the initial ability of the both classes issame similarity. Then the both of classes were given a different treatment, theexperimental class used Group Investigation and control class used DirectInstruction. After the learning had finished, the both of classes given posttest ofcontrol class 77.9 and experimental class 81.75.The result test t obtained that t count >t table (2.03 < 1.66) then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Furthermore, based onpercentage of students activity showed that students in experimental class more activethan class control. It can be conclude that is effect of group investigation learningoutcomes on students at topic ecosystem in class X SMA Negeri 11 Medan AcademicYear 2014/2015.Key words: group investigation model, learning outcome, activity

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of self-efficacy of students during a pandemic, the level of thesis working duration during a pandemic, and the relationship between self-efficacy and thesis working duration for students of the Biology Education Study Program Grade of 2017 at Universitas Negeri Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic. The descriptive method with a quantitative approach was used in this study. This study's population consisted of all students enrolled in the 2017 Biology Education study program at Universitas Negeri Medan. This study's sample size was 132 students, chosen using a simple random sampling technique. This study's instrument will be a questionnaire, with each questionnaire totaling 29 and 18 statements that have been declared valid and reliable. The results showed that students of the 2017 Biology Education study program at Medan State University had a self-efficacy level with a percentage value of 56.8% which was in the moderate category tending to be high, the level of thesis working duration with a percentage value of 70.5% owned by Biology Education 2017 students was in the moderate category tending to be low, and the results showed that there was a relationship between Self-efficacy and Thesis Working Duration in Biology Education 2017 students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
