Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to provide assistance in the development of instructional media for equality tutors at the Center for Community Learning Activities (PKBM) in Laskar Pelangi. This activity was carried out based on the problem of learning motivation of the residents at very low partners, the cause was the limited learning media at PKBM Laskar Pelangi. The lack of costs means that PKBM has not been able to complete the required instructional media, therefore a solution is needed to overcome this problem, which is to use used goods waste to be developed into a medium for learning. Keywords: Mentoring, Tutor, Media, PKBM  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan pendampingan pengembangan media pembelajaran kepada tutor kesetaraan di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) di Laskar Pelangi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan berdasarkan permasalahan motivasi belajar warga pada mitra sangat rendah, penyebabnya adalah terbatasnya media pembelajaran di PKBM Laskar Pelangi. Minimnya biaya menyebabkan PKBM belum bisa melengkapi media pelajaran yang diperlukan, karena itu diperlukan solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini yaitu memanfaatkan limbah barang bekas untuk dikembangkan menjadi media dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Tutor, Media, PKBM

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn Indonesia, English begins to be taught in primary school from the first grader by adjusting to children’ ability. Teaching English by using games is one of the best ways to teach children. Games can be used to draw students’ attention to learn English. But, firstly, teachers should consider that a game must has an educational purpose and value, such as Whispering words game, Word family game, Words search game, Board race game, Hot seat game and many mores. The teachers only need to determine the type of games that fits the particular topic of learning and learning purpose. Keywords: Teaching English, Games, Students
