Abstract

The constraint of cattle development in Indonesia is low productivity, which was caused by low reproduction efficiency. Unestroes and difficulty of heat detection influenced to the calving interval. This calving interval is one of the causal factors of low reproduction efficiency. The efforts to solve this problem are to control and to predict heat period using synchronization technology. Synchronization technology on catlle has been developed from corpus luteum enucleated, utilizing of gonadotropin, progesteron, estrogen, prostaglandine and modification of those hormones. Application method for synchronization could be done by intra musculair, subcutan implantation, intra vaginal and mixed with food. Each method has its own strength and weaknesses. However, to handle anestroes cases is more effective to use combination of progesteron, PGF2α and estrogen. In order to obtain reproduction efficiency it is suggested to take the anestroes in hand as soon as possible.   Key words : Cattle, synchronization estrous

Abstract

The study was conducted to know the influence of a- tocoferrol additional into the egg yolk tris extender medium to the liquid semen quality of “Garut” lamb (Ovis aries). Parameter which had been evaluated i.e. percentages of progressive motile sperm, percentages of viable sperm and percentages of plasma membrane. On the 4 th day evaluation showed that the addition of a- tocoferrol with the dose 0,04 g/100 ml into the egg yolk tris extender produced the highest percentages ofprogressive motile sperm, percentages of viable sperm and percentages of plasma membrane ( 49,0 ± 6,5%; 68,6 ± 4,2% and 59,3 ± 6,5% ) but there were not significantly different from control ( 45,5 ± 5%; 66,0 ± 4,6% and 56,2 ± 5,7% )and the addition of a- tocoferrol with the dose 0,02 g/100 ml ( 49,0 ± 6,5%; 66,6 ± 4,0% and 59,3 ± 2,8% ) respectively. In conclusion, the addition of a-tocoferrol in the egg yolk tris extender medium no significant effect on the liquid semen quality.

Abstract

This study analyzes the utilization of business data to strengthen the economic sustainability of rural communities in Tuntang District. A qualitative approach with a case study design was applied in 16 villages through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, while data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that business data are strategically utilized to support evidence-based planning, mapping local economic potential, strengthening the capacity of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and improving the digital literacy of business actors. The utilization of such data contributes to business growth, increased turnover, and improvements in bookkeeping, business planning, and access to formal sources of capital. In addition, business data also assist village governments in determining priorities for community economic empowerment programs more accurately and effectively. The main supporting factors include the commitment of village leadership, active participation of business actors, mentoring support, the availability of technological infrastructure, and a collaborative culture among stakeholders. Meanwhile, the challenges encountered include limited human resource capacity, infrastructure gaps, resistance from some business actors toward data transparency, and dependence on external assistance. This study formulates a participatory, integrated, collaborative, and sustainable business data utilization model as a contextual precision data-based approach to support rural economic development.
