Abstract

People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) are a group of people who often face stigmatization and limitations in participating in economic activities. Empowering ODGJ in increasing income through creativity in making doormats is an effort that can provide social and economic benefits. The aim of this activity is to try to increase the income of those categorized as ODGJ. People with mental disorders (ODGJ) are often considered less productive and do not have the ability to do work or skills that can produce results. Poskeswa's self-help group (SHG) community development program aims to improve the social and economic capabilities of ODGJ in Sidorejo Village. This service produced mats with economic value, which were carried out by 41 ODGJ. Secondary data was obtained through the Sidorejo Health Post SHG report and information from the village midwife. Through effective assistance, ODGJ in Sidorejo Village have life skills, therefore they are able to be independent, have a job, be creative and have an income that meets their daily needs.
