Abstract

Nowadays the mass media tends to inspire people to do crime. The crime which is conducted by humans actually is no other than an imitation factorwhich exists in every human. The main function of imitation is memetic which can also build a society as a product of imitation in which it will exist continuously as a social process in almost every society. Therefore, there is a need to build an ethics base, for instance Scheler’s ethics, for the mass media so that it functions to create human character based on love – ordo amoris.Keywords: Scheler’s ethics, mass media, imitation, ordo amoris.

Abstract

The very fact that painting was for Leonardo such an axtraordinary synthesis of different elements brings him closer o nature, in that he claims for the painter the role of universal being and the ability to use the creative impulse to mirror nature, which then approaches divine necessity. Naturally, when we look at one of Leonardo’s paintings, we should think of a kind of – it’s not a contradiction – of contrivance, of a painting that’s a synthesis between very different things. For him painting is a philosophy, a science, it’s a mental process and in every picture, just as in every page of his manuscripts, we can find an infinite number of hints about relationship and references. These relationship and references are also demonstrated by a number of philosophers through their thoughts about art and esthetics.

Abstract

Berbicara mengenai seni mempunyai tendensi berbicara mengenai kehidupan itu sendiri. Dalam kehidupan ini maka proses penciptaan tidak akan pernah stagnan. Dinamisasi dalam kehidupan ini akan menjadikan seni senantiasa untuk mengupayakan dirinya selalu kreatif dalam menciptakan suatu karya seni. Seni yang terlibat dalam kehidupan akan dihasilkan oleh suatu masyarakat yang mampu menangkap esensi seni dalam kehidupan itu sendiri. Seni pada akhirnya merupakan produk masyarakat sebab bagaimanapun juga seni tidak dapat melepaskan dirinya dari suatu masyarakat. Produksi seni yang bersifat kolektif, atau dirasa dan dicipta oleh masyarakat, akan mengutamakan nilai-nilai yang menubuh, mengedepankan etnisitas lokal, dan penuh dengan intepretasi.Proses penciptaan seni dalam kehidupan manusia tidak dapat dilepaskan pada proses penciptaan kemurniaan dan hibriditas yang merupakan unsur yang mendasar. Proses penciptaan ini secara aktif terlibat dalam akulturasi atau asimilasi kebudayaan. Dilematis menjadi persoalan utama dalam terjadinya proses penciptaan tersebut, “Kemurnian” dan “hibriditas” menjadi gesekan persoalan. Hibriditas, merupakan telaah yang pas dalam melihat pembauran tersebut. Proses hibriditas menjadi semakin menarik terlebih seni yang tercipta dibentuk di masyarakat urban. Seni yang dicipta masyarakat urban menuju pada seni popular, tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan itu semua berangkat dari masyarakat rural. Habitus, penubuhan, intepretasi individu yang tergabung dalam masyarakat menjadi proses pembentukan yang menarik.Padatataran ini, estetika hybrid culture menjadi studi mendalam dalam melihat persoalan kemajemukan nilai-nilai pada proses pembentukan seni itu sendiri. Pengarahan penelitian ini akan ditujukan kepada pemahaman atas pembentukan estetika seni pertunjukan, dan melihat korelasi yang terjadi antara nilai-nilai hibriditas pada estetika seni pertunjukan. Hip hop merupakan jenis musik yang mengalami percampuran, pembauran, dan intepretasi ulang atas sebuah kebudayaan. Hibriditas hip hop menjadi hakiki, terlebih bila melihat esksistensi dan konsistensinya kini. Hip-Hop Music as a Form of Hybrid Culture in the Aesthetics Reviews. Talking about art, it has a tendency to talk about life itself. The process of creation will never be stagnant in life. The dynamism in life will make art as an effort of seeking itself to be actively creative in creating a work of art. The art involving in life will be produced by a society that is able to capture the essence of art in life itself. Art is then ultimately a product of society because art cannot keep itself away from the society. The collective art production, or perceived and created by the community, will give more priority to the increasing values , prioritize the local ethnicity, and be full of interpretation.The process of creating art in human life cannot be released from the process of creating purity and hybridity which are parts of a fundamental element. The process of creation is actively involved in the acculturation or assimilation of culture. Dilemma becomes the main issue in the process of creation, “purity” and “hybridity” then are the friction of problems. Hybridity, is a suitable study in reviewing such assimilation. The process of hybridity becomes increasingly attractive especially when the created art is formed in the urban society. Art that is created by the urban society leads to the popular art, but it does not rule out the possibility that all arts may derive from the rural community. Habitus, embodiment, and the individual interpretation that belong to the society become theinteresting process of formation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan prosedur serial dua belas nada dari Arnold Schonberg pada gaya musik tonal dalam idiom keroncong. Langkah yang dilakukan adalah dengan menciptakan karya komposisi berjudul “In Nine”. Tujuan dari penciptaan karya ini untuk mengetahui apakah kesan keroncong tetap terjaga meskipun melodi disusun dari prosedur dua belas nada dengan tidak menghilangkan tonalitas keroncong itu sendiri. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prosedur serial dua belas nada bisa dilakukan pada musik keroncong tanpa mengilangkan kesan idiom dasarnya.Kata Kunci: Keroncong; Musik Serial; Atonal; TonalKeroncong “In Nine”: Serial System Integration on the Keroncong Tonal SystemABSTRACTThis study aims to apply Arnold Schonberg's twelve-tone serial procedure to tonal musical styles in keroncong idioms. The step taken is to create a composition entitled “In Nine”. The purpose of creating this work is to find out whether the impression of keroncong is maintained even though the melody is composed of a twelve-tone procedure without eliminating the tonality of the keroncong itself. Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud mengetahui cara pengintegrasian noise dan sound dari objek material non pitch melalui DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Fokus pembahasannya adalah pada penerapan rasio interval yang nantinya disusun menjadi harmoni menggunakan rasio interval equal temperament untuk mendapatkan ‘nada’ sehingga dapat disusun menjadi karya musik tonal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah kesan nuansa harmoni manakala suara yang dipakai berasal dari sumber bunyi non pitch dan bagaimana relevansi prinsip tonalitas selama pembuatan karya. Untuk mengetahuinya, dilakukan metode wawancara dan analisis karya. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa responden mendengar kesan harmoni dalam karya, sedangkan kesan timbre melemah manakala pendengar fokus pada aspek frekuensi fundamental dengan amplitudo yang kuat. Dalam konteks karya ini, tidak semua prinsip tonalitas relevan.Kata Kunci: Layering, Sound design, Noise, Equal temperament, TonalThis research intends to find out how to integrate noise and sound from non-pitch  material objects through a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). The focus of the discussion is on the application of interval ratios which will later be arranged into harmony using equal temperament interval ratios to obtain 'tones' so that they can be composed into tonal pieces of music. The purpose of this study is to find out how the nuances of harmony are felt when the sound used comes from a non-pitch sound source and how relevant the principle of tonality is during the creation of works. To find out, interview methods and work analysis were carried out. The results show that the respondent hears a sense of harmony in the work, while the impression of timbre weakens when the listener focuses on aspects of the fundamental frequency with a strong amplitude. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini fokus pada fenomena Sampek dari kebudayaan masyarakat Dayak Kenyah. Unsur yang hendak dikaji yaitu filosofi Sampek Leto sebagai bentuk gambaran keanggunan dan kecantikan wanita Dayak serta interpretasi penulis terhadap filosofi Sampek Leto. Filosofi Sampek Leto diinterpretasikan dalam karya musik program ideational berjudul ”The Soul Of Borneo Woman” dengan format ansambel campuran berupa Sampek dan strings quartet. Interpretasi filosofi Sampek Leto dalam karya komposisi dilakukan dengan dua metode yaitu metode fenomenologi dan metode eksplorasi. Metode fenomenologi untuk mengkaji fenomena Sampek Leto melalui studi literatur dan melakukan wawancara yang menghasilkan rancangan konsep karya dan sketsa karya. Metode eksplorasi untuk mentransformasikan filosofi Sampek Leto dalam karya musik dengan melakukan eksplorasi instrumen, eksplorasi pola Sampek Leto, dan eksplorasi motif melodi. Hasil pengkajian melalui metode fenomenologi dan metode eksplorasi dimasukan ke dalam karya “The Soul Of Borneo Woman” sebagai unsur ekstramusikal utama yang menopang keseluruhan bentuk komposisi “The Soul Of Borneo Woman”. Bentuk komposisi “The Soul Of Borneo Woman” terdiri dari tiga movement, meliputi “Keanggunan Raga”, “Beradu Rayu”, dan “Kekuatan Keindahan Jiwa” yang mengandung interpretasi filosofi Sampek Leto. Kata kunci: sampek leto, musik program, filosofiAbstractThis research focuses on the Sampek phenomenon from the culture of the Dayak Kenyah people. The elements to be studied are Sampek Leto’s philosophy as a form of depiction of the elegance and beauty of Dayak women and the author’s interpretation of Sampek Leto’s philosophy. Sampek Leto’s philosophy is interpreted in an ideational music program piece entitled “The Soul Of Borneo Woman” in a mixed ensemble format consisting of Sampek and strings quartet. The interpretation of Sampek Leto’s philosophy in compositional works is carried out using two methods, namely the phenomenological method and the exploratory method. The phenomenological method for studying the Sampek Leto phenomenon is through literature studies and conducting interviews which result in draft work concepts and work sketches. The exploratory method for transforming Sampek Leto’s philosophy into musical works is by exploring instruments, exploring Sampek leto’s patterns, and exploring melodic motifs. The results of the study through phenomenological methods and exploratory methods are included in the work “The Soul Of Borneo Woman” as the main extramusical element that supports the entire compositional form of “The Soul Of Borneo Woman”.  The compositional form of “The Soul Of Borneo Woman” consists of three movements, including “Keanggunan Raga”, “Beradu Rayu”, and “Kekuatan Keindahan Jiwa” which contains the interpretation of Sampek Leto’s philosophy.Keywords: sampek leto, program music, philosophy

Abstract

“The Glasses of a Child” merupakan alih wahana dari sebuah novel yang berjudul “Di Tanah Lada” dalam format choir yang dibuat menjadi 3 movement. Penelitianbermaksud untuk menginterpretasikan suasana dan emosi dari novel yang diangkat ke dalam 3 movement dengan sudut pandang atau kacamata anak kecil. Hal tersebut berhubungan dengan perkembangan dan pola pikir anak-anak yang di angkat dari kasus suasana dan emosi pada novel ‘Di Tanah Lada’. Metode yang dilakukan penulis dalam membuat karya ini yaitu ide penciptaan, proses observasi, konsep dan perancangan, struktur dasar, pembuatan lirik dan pembuatan notasi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa suasana dan emosi dari sudut pandang anak kecil mulai dari cara berpikir dan emosinyabisa di implementasikan menggunakan body percussion, lirik menggunakan bahasa anak kecil yang masih polos serta sederhana, dinamika, tempo, tonalitas, ritmis dan scat-singing atau teriakan.Kata kunci: The Glasses of a Child, Alih wahana, Choir, Movement, Interpretasi, Implementasi"The Glasses of a Child" is an adaptation of a novel titled 'Di Tanah Lada' into a choir format, comprising three movements. The researcher intends to interpret the moods and emotions of the novel through the perspective or lens of a young child. This is related to the development and thought patterns of children, derived from the context of the moods and emotions in the novel 'Di Tanah Lada'. The methods employed by the author in creating this piece include idea generation, observation process, conceptualization and design, basic structure, lyric writing, and notation creation. This study demonstrates that the moods and emotions, as seen through the eyes of a child, can be implemented using body percussion, lyrics in a childlike and simple language, dynamics, tempo, tonality, rhythm, and scat-singing or shouts.Keywords: The Glasses of a Child, Choir, Movement, Interpretation, Implemented
