Abstract

Abstrak Ronde keperawatan merupakan suatu metode dalam pelayanan keperawatan yang berguna untuk meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pasien dan memberikan masukan kepada perawat tentang asuhan keperawatan yang dilakukan. Ronde keperawatan mampu meningkatkan kinerja perawat dalam hal kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk  meningkatkan kinerja Perawat melalui  pelatihan ronde keperawatan di rumah sakit Royal Prima Medan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama satu bulan, dengan Metode Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah: Kegiatan I. Melakukan  Forum Group Discussion denganPerawat RS Royal Prima Medan. Kegiatan  II Merumuskan masalah dan melkukan pemilihan Design kegiatan yang dilanjutkan dengan penyusunan Materi. Kegiatan III Melakukan Pretest, yang dilanjutkan dengan Pemberian Materi. Kegiatan IV.  Simulasi, Role Play,dan Kegiatan  V Melakukan observasi dan choaching, Post Test dan Penutupan Kegiatan. Peserta Pelatihan berjumlah 32 orang perawat. Hasil dari kegiatan menemukan bahwa deskripsi kategori kinerja perawat sebelum pelatihan mayoritas kinerja rendah (33,75%) dan kinerja perawat sesudah pelatihan mayoritas kinerja tinggi (42,62%). Berdasarkan uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kinerja perawat dalam pemberian asuhan keperawatan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan ronde keperawatan perbedaan nilai mean -31,62 dan nilai signifikansi pvalue=0,00 (p < 0,05).  Kesimpulan ada pengaruh pelatihan ronde keperawatan terhadap kinerja perawat dalam pemberian asuhan keperawatan di rumah sakit Royal Prima Medan.  Kata kunci:  ronde keperawatan, kinerja perawat, asuhan keperawatan  Abstract             Nursing round is a method of nursing services that aims to improve patients services and nurses understanding about nursing care as well. It’s also improving nurses’ performance in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The outreach aimed to improve nurses’ performance through nursing round training at Royal Prima hospital, Medan. This activity was carried out for one month. There were three activities in this outreach. The first activity was: 1) conducted group discussion forum with nurses staf at Royal Prima hospital. The second activity including identified the problems and selected activities design which continue to make material of the training. The third activity was conducted pre-test and continue to provide material of the training to each nurse. The last activities were observation, coaching, post-test and terminated the activity. The number of participants were 32. The resulf of the study showed that the nurses’ performance before training was low (33.75%). Meanwhile, the nurses’ performance after training was significantly improved (42.62%).Test statistic indicated that there was significant difference between nurses’ performance in providing nursing care before and after nursing round training (Mean -31,62; SD = ); pvalue=0.00; p< 0.05. It can be concluded that nursing round training was positive effect to improve nurses’ performance in providing nursing care at Royal Prima hospital, Medan.  Keywords: nursing round, nurses’ performance, nursing care

Abstract

The complexity of diversity, relationships, variety and specialization can provide more opportunities for mistakes, one of which is in the children's hospital services. Based on patient safety incident report data at Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan in January 2018 to October 2018, it is known that child care is the unit with the highest number of patient safety incidents compared to other units at 37 incidents. Implementation of patient safety by officers in children's services is the main focus that must be considered its role to prevent the occurrence of patient safety incidents. This research is a qualitative research that aims to see the extent of the implementation of patient safety in child care at Rumah Sakit Umum Haji Medan from the description of the role of health workers involved in child care, namely the role of the head of a child's SMF, the role of a pediatrician, and the role of a child nurse. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with 7 informants and through observation. The results showed the implementation of patient safety in children's services has not been running optimally. This is because not all health workers in child services, namely the head of the child's SMF, pediatricians and child nurses do their part in the patient safety system. The roles carried out are still focused on the standards of each profession. It is expected that routine socialization on the implementation of patient safety, the implementation of special meetings and discussions to study the patient safety system and the existence of patient safety drivers in child care designated as the person responsible for moving every officer to implement patient safety. Keywords: Implementation, Children's Services, Patient Safety

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam penatalaksanaan perawatan penderita asam urat di lingkungan XIV Kelurahan Sunggal yang merupakan Wilayah Desa Binaan Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Sumatera Utara. Metode kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan selama 4 hari, dengan metode ceramah dengan menggunakan media audiovisual. Jumlah responden sebanyak 60 orang. Hasil kegiatan: Diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakatdari 5% menjadi 88,3% menjadi kategori baik. Dari hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya manfaat penyuluhan masyarakat dengan menggunakan media audiovisual terhadappengetahuan masyarakat. Penggunaan media audiovisual menyuguhkan gambar dan suara, sehingga pesan penyuluhan dapat lebih mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat, dan media ini dapat disajikan berulang ulang dengan memutar kembali materi penyuluhan melaluihandphone peserta penyuluhan, media penyuluhan kesehatan dengan audiovisual dianggap efektif dan dapat dijadikan sebagai pilihan media dalam penyuluhan kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Public health counseling: Management of care for gout patients using audiovisual media AbstractThe purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge in the management of care for gout sufferers in the XIV neighborhood of Sunggal Village, which is a development village village of the Faculty of Nursing, University of North Sumatra. The extension activity method is carried out for 4 days, with the lecture method using audiovisual media. The number of respondents is 60 people. Results of the activity: Increased community knowledge from 5% to 88.3% into good categories. From the results of this activity, it shows the benefits of community education by using audiovisual media on people's knowledge. The use of audiovisual media presents images and sounds, so that the counseling message can be more easily understood by the public, and this media can be presented repeatedly by replaying counseling material through mobile education participants, health education media with audiovisuals are considered effective and can be used as media choices in health education for the community.

Abstract

Orang-orang dengan kondisi medis yang sudah ada sebelumnya seperti diabetes tampaknya lebih rentan untuk menjadi sakit parah dengan virus Covid-19. Agar penderita diabetes ini dapat terhindar dari penularan Covid-19, maka diperlukan suatu upaya peningkatan kapasitas mereka agar dapat mengetahui cara pencegahan penularan Covid-19 dan melaksanakan upaya pencegahan tersebut. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan penderita DM untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan Covid-19 di desa Mekar Sari, Kecamatan Deli Tua, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Peserta yang menjadi partisipan dalam kegiatan ini terdiri dari anggota masyarakat yang mengalami DM sebanyak 15 orang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan melakukan pre-test tentang pengetahuan awal peserta tentang penyakit dan cara pencegahannya. Setelah itu, diberikan penyuluhan secara langsung dengan menggunakan media leaflet. Selain leaflet, hand sanitizer dan suplemen vitamin C dan D diberikan juga kepada setiap peserta pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada saat penyuluhan. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dengan menggunakan contoh yang nyata, pengetahuan peserta meningkat dari rerata skor pengetahuan 5,47 menjadi 9,80. Peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan penularan Covid-19 meningkat secara signifikan. Hal ini terlihat dari uji statistika Wilcoxon antara nilai post-test dan post-test didapat nilai p=0,001. Tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari berharap agar setelah kegiatan ini selesai, anggota masyarakat yang mengalami penyakit diabetes melitus dapat dan secara konsisten menerapkan hal-hal yang telah mereka pahami pada saat penyuluhan kesehatan, sehingga dapat terhindar dari penularan penyakit Covid-19.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan agar perawat dapat memahami konsep service (pentingnya service) bagi kelangsungan bisnis rumah sakit. Perawat mampu melihat service dari sudut pandang customer (pasien) dan memahami Nine Service Bites” yaitu:  Access, Responsiveness, Competency, Courtesy, Reliability, Speed, Security, Tangible, Professional. Membantu perawat memahami komunikasi yang efektif sehingga mampu menciptakan image yang baik dari rumah sakit di mata customer. Solusi yang diberikan adalah Penguatan Peran kepada Perawat dalam Pelayanan Asuhan Keperawatan melalui Pelatihan layanan Prima (Excellent Sevices) di rumah sakit Universitas Sumatera Utara. Pelatihan layanan prima yang diberikan, memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan persentase kepuasan pasien terhadap layanan asuhan keperawatan. Semakin baik persepsi pasien rawat inap terhadap pelayanan keperawatan di Rumah Sakit maka semakin rendah kecemasan yang dialaminya. Rencana Tindak Lanjut (RTL) sebagai Saran Adalah: menyediakan kuesioner untuk mengukur Kepuasan Pasien terhadap layanan keperawatan, yang disediakan di ruangan, membuat jadwal evaluasi bulanan untuk mengawal kesinambungan pelaksanaanan pasca pelatihan. Respon pimpinan rumah sakit terkait pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah adanya draft  Kebijakan Pimpinan Rumah Sakit tentang: Pelaksanaan SPO Pelayanan Prima, Pemilihan Champion Layanan Prima pada setiap ruangan perawatan di rumah sakit USU Medan.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Diagram Pareto merupakan salah satu alat ukur mutu untuk menganalisis pengelolaan bahan habis pakai sehingga menjadi hal penting bagi rumah sakit. Hal ini dipengaruhi juga dengan pengetahuan dan minat perawat yang rendah, bukan hanya karena fasilitas yang tidak memadai tetapi karena pengaruh minimnya informasi tentang pentingnya pengelolaan bahan habis pakai tersebut.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh sosialisasi diagram Pareto terhadap pengetahuan dan minat perawat dalam pengelolaan bahan habis pakai.Metode: Metode eksperimen semu dengan pre-posttest dengan kelompok kontrol. Sampel penelitian 100 perawat pelaksana di Rumah Sakit Daerah Provinsi Aceh, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi (n=50) dan kelompok kontrol (n=50), dengan menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Pengetahuan perawat diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan kuesioner penggunaan diagram Pareto, Microsoft Excel Format 2 Axis dan klasifikasi bahan habis pakai, sedangkan minat perawat diukur dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, kemudian data diuji dengan Correlation Pearson Test.Hasil: Setelah intervensi, peningkatan pengetahuan perawat dari kategori sedang (n=12, 24.0%) menjadi tinggi (n=25, 50.0%) dan peningkatan minat perawat dari kategori sedang (n=13, 26.0%) menjadi tinggi (n=27, 54.0%). Kesimpulan: Sosialisasi diagram Pareto berpengaruh meningkatkan pengetahuan p-value=0.027  (p<0.05) dan minat perawat p-value=0.030 (p<0.05) dalam pengelolaan bahan habis pakai di rumah sakit.

Abstract

A holistic patient safety program requires a crucial and fundamental component: patient safety culture. It is also critical in the evaluation of hospital safety and service quality. The purpose of the study was to find out how nurses at USU Hospital implemented a patient safety culture. The Collaizzi approach to descriptive phenomenology was applied in the study design. Purposive sampling was used to choose fifteen participants who met the inclusion criteria. In-depth interviews were used to acquire the information. Verbatim description was used in the analysis and interpretation. Five themes emerged from the study, namely: (1) accomplishment of patient safety goals with the support from the hospital management, (2) information provision about patient nursing care to improve patient safety, (3) report of patient safety incidents, (4) obstacles encountered by nurses in implementing patient safety culture, and (5) expectation that nurse implement safety culture. It suggested that nursing services facilitate nurses with training on patient safety culture regularly to improve their behaviors in reporting any patient safety incidents.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of audiovisual media application of patient identification implementation on patient knowledge at the University of North Sumatra Hospital in 2019. The study used a quantitative approach, with quasi-experimental methods, one group pre-test-post-test design. The results showed that before counseling, 40 patients included in the category of sufficient knowledge, and 80 people in the category of insufficient knowledge. After counseling using audiovisual media, data obtained that, as many as 12 patients included in the category of good knowledge, 68 people in the category of sufficient knowledge, and 40 people in the category of lack of knowledge. These results indicate that there was an increase in the number of patients in the knowledge category. Conclusion, there is an influence of counseling given by the use of audiovisual media to increase the number of patients in the knowledge category. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore nurses' perceptions about clinical supervision in the implementation of patient and family education in Universitas Sumatera Utara. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The results of this study brought out five main themes, namely (1) the purpose of supervision in the implementation of patient and family education, (2) methods of carrying out supervision, (3) the barriers that had been facing during the implementation supervision, (4) the future expectations related to the implementation of supervision and (5) the benefits of supervision implementation. Conclusions, nurses' perceptions about clinical supervision in the implementation patient and family education are important to do, even though the implementation still not optimum. Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of the head of the room about the recruitment results of competency-based nurses at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The results of this study obtained six main themes, namely: 1) the purpose of recruitment, 2) improvements made in recruitment, 3) obstacles to recruitment implementation, 4) benefits of recruitment, 5) supporting factors for the performance of recruitment, 6) expectations of recruitment results. In conclusion, the head of the room's perception of competency-based nurse recruitment results can help the recruitment team, who is also a part of hospital management, obtain professional and competent nurses according to service needs.
