Abstract

This paper aims to find a migration culture that looks at the rites as a manifestation of the religiosity of society. This is expressed in various ways, according to the natural environment, social customs and community supporters. Data were analyzed by using an ethnographic method. A literature study was followed by field research. Meaning was done by looking at the relationship among the data to get a comprehensive conclusion. The results showed that Banyuwangi seblang and Nini Thowong of Yogyakarta rooted in rural agrarian culture. It looks at the materials, accessories, and the content of the songs used to accompany the dance movements of both. The differences of the two dances are as follow. Seblang perpetrators are women, and become a rite that was placed as part of a cleansing ceremony of the village, and the time and place are determined by custom implementation. Nini Thowong performance with actors as a transfer media of female doll spirit is a tradition art to entertain. Therefore, time and venue are adapted to responders’ request.Keywords: village cleansing, entertainment, religiosity, rites

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan potensi wacana iklan rokok Djarum Super episode My Life My Anventure sebagai media promosi wisata alam Indonesia. Artikel ini menggunakan sumber data tayangan iklan yang diperoleh dari kanal youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmyo58Ncjto. Sumber data cenderung didominasi teks visual/nonverbal. Data verbal diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik simak dan catat, sedangkan data visual diperoleh melalui observasi dan penyimpanan dengan menggunakan fasilitas screen shot. Analisis data dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teori wacana multimodal yang membedakan adanya teks verbal dan teks visual. Interpretasi data dilakukan dengan memperhitungkan hubungan antardata secara keseluruhan untuk mendapatkan simpulan secara komprehensif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tayangan wacana visual iklan rokok Djarum Super menyajikan informasi mengenai lingkungan alam tumbuh-tumbuhan, gua vertikal, sungai, ruang dasar bumi, dan cahaya matahari. Dari segi oleh raga, Gua Jomblang menawarkan olah raga turun tebing, skateboard, dan arung sungai. Semua kegiatan olahraga tersebut sekaligus dilakukan dengan menikmati keindahan destinasi wisata bawah tanah yang memesona dan eksotik. Tayangan visual potensi wisata alam Gua Jomblang menjadi salah satu inspirator pemirsa untuk melakukan perjalanan wisata ke lokasi tersebut. Informasi yang didominasi wacana visual berpotensi menjadi media informasi kepada wisatawan domestik dan asing. Kata kunci: alam, iklan, teks verbal, teks visual

Abstract

This study aims to explain the dynamics of folk tales called as myths about fisherman figures, Buyut Kalong and Buyut Sabar as parts of the implementation of Petik Laut Muncar. This ethnographic study was started by collecting data from number of literatures and data obtained from participatory observations and in-depth interviews with Muncar fishing community leaders. Data analysis was carried out continuously since the data collection stage. Data interpretation was done by interpreting each event as a cultural phenomenon that was interrelated as a whole. The results showed that the dynamics from myths to festivals involved fishing communities, community leaders, religious scholars, and the local government of Banyuwangi
