Abstract

PT.

Abstract

Value engineering is an organized, rigorous strategy that assesses the performance, noise, quality, safety, and compatibility of systems, outfits, installations, services, and inventories to deliver necessary functionalities at the lowest life cycle cost. Eliminating unnecessary expenses from design, testing, production, operations, procedures, accounting, conservation, and other areas is the best course of action. The purpose of the paper's initial investigation was to list the drawbacks of value engineering in product creation. These transgressions highlight the necessity for alternative methods when implementing value engineering techniques. To address critical inverse issues throughout the process, from the stage of product demand analysis to product design, product, and operation, value engineering is combined with various engineering methods. The results demonstrate that there are distinct paths in which the benefit of integration engineering using QFD or DFA may be used. Even so, this integration is providing a better option for the planning of products or services through a process that not only means providing a better value for client satisfaction but also lowers expenses, shortening development times, and reducing the need for rework conditions—all without compromising performance, reducing anxiety, or lowering the quality of the final product.

Abstract

This study's goal is to provide an overview of the macroergonomics approach, which is used to evaluate work systems and make improvements to working conditions and efficiency. A process for the system evaluation was developed using the pertinent framework, Macroergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD). Using the MEAD framework, the system may be assessed more completely overall, and any conflicts can be resolved to fully harmonize the system. A thematic analysis of papers addressing macroergonomic analysis and design (MEAD) is the methodology used in this study. To successfully complete a research project using this methodology, ten steps must be followed. The ten steps are as follows: examining the subsystem of organizational and environmental design; identifying the type of manufacturing system and establishing performance benchmarks; outlining work procedures and unit operations; detecting variances; generating the matrix of variances; establishing the role network and key variance control table; allocating functions and designing jointly; recognizing the views of roles and responsibilities; creating and modifying interfaces and supporting subsystems; putting into practice, refining, and upgrading.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of workload variable on employee performance through work stress as an intervening variable at PT Bank Sumut of Stabat Branch. This study was used a quantitative method with the census method as a sampling technique and the structural equation model (SEM) method as a data analysis technique. The population in this study was 57 which the entire population was the sample. The data collection method used a questionnaire and data analysis was assisted by SmartPls 4. Based on the analysis, it was found that workload had a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance with T-Statistic value of 1.3467 and p-value of 0.178. The workload has a positive and significant effect on work stress with T-Statistic value of 2.771 and p-value of 0.006. The work stress has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with T-Statistic of 2.427 and p-value of 0.015. The workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through work stress with T-Statistic value of 2.585 and p-value of 0.010.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of compensation and workload on employees' intention to quit, with productivity as an intervening variable, at PT. Arta Boga Cemerlang (Medan Unit). A quantitative method was employed, collecting data via questionnaires distributed to 56 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that compensation has a significant negative effect on intention to quit, while workload has a significant positive effect. Employee productivity was found to mediate the relationship between compensation and intention to quit, as well as between workload and intention to quit. This research provides practical recommendations for company management to effectively manage compensation and workload to enhance productivity and reduce employee intention to quit levels.

Abstract

Technological developments in the industrial world encourage innovation in the inspection process, one of which is the application of artificial intelligence with machine learning. CV. XYZ is a palm oil machine component fabrication workshop that still applies manual quality inspection. Manual inspections are prone to errors, depend on human skills, and take a long time. This research aims to develop an automated inspection system using the YOLO (You Only Look Once) model which is a convolutional neural network (CNN) based algorithm for product defect detection. The manual inspection used is considered inconsistent, error-prone, and time-consuming. The use of machine learning is able to identify product defects such as geometry defect, porous defect, and surface defect. Evaluation of model performance using confusion matrix, loss graph, and precision recall curve. The results obtained show that the model has detection accuracy with a mAP50-95 value of 74.5%, mAP50 of 88.5%, and detection time of 0.0084 seconds per image.
