Abstract

Water quality is one of medium for fish farming system. This study aims to determine for growth of catfish (Pangasius sp.) with using water circulation. The component of circulation using filter of sand, fibers, zeolites, activated chalcoal, and water hyacinth (Eicchornia crassipies). The result was showed highter body weight of 6,48 g during at 56 day with water circulation. Compared of body weight non circulation system the result was lowest body weight of 4,95 g.Key Word : Pangasius, Growth, recirculation system, water quality.

Abstract

Chanos chanos is one of the consumed fish, and very populer in Indonesiapopulated, easy to growth and very cheap. These studies were give different ofprotein levels. The protein feed were used comercial feed with 30 % and 16 %composition of protein, the growth of fish were observed from june-august 2014 inthe Rawamas village Nurusalam subdistrict Aceh Timur regency. The analysis of datawere used SPSS Versi 22. The results showed that fish feed with protein 30 % highestbody weight than fish feed with protein 16 %, with regard to growth andconformation. Mean and standart error of growth highest body weight 56,4cm, lengthof 20,9 cm and water temperature range 28 – 29 c, ph 7 – 7,2 salinity 29,3 – 30 pptand do 6,66 – 6,79 mg/l.Keywords : Chanos chanos, Feed, Growth.

Abstract

Redfin fish is one of an interesting ornamental fish. Intensive cultivation can bedone by optimizing the stocking density. This reasearch aims to determine the effect ofstocking density of redfin fish, on the growth and determine the optimum stockingdensity with an average length is 5,04 cm and an average weight is 1,01 gram. Redfinare used as much as 162 fishes and maintenance container used are 9 aquariums withsize 40 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm and the volume water are 12 liters each aquarium. Duringthe observed, fish are given an artificial feed as much as 5% of body weight per day.Feeding frequency are 3 times a day. The method used is Completely RandomizedDesign with the treatment of stocking density 1 fish/liter (P1), 1,5 fish/liter (P2), and 2fish/liter (P3). Ended treatment showed length P1 5,59 cm; P2 5,49 cm; P3 5,24 cm andweight P1 1,40 gr; P2 1,28 gr; P3 1,15 gr and feed comsumption 409,05 gr. TreatmentP1 shows the best of daily length and weight growth. Treatment P3 shows the lowest ofdaily length and weight growth. Stocking density significantly affected on the dailylength and weight growth rate. Tukey result has showed that the treatment P2 and P3significantly different from P1.Key word: Epalzeorhynchos frenatum, Redfin, Stocking Density, Growth Rate,

Abstract

Patin is a famous fresh water fish that have high economic value in Indonesia. This research was conducted to study the influence of the application of silkworm (Tubifex sp.) and Snails (Pila ampulacea) to patin (Pangasius sp.) growth. This research was conducted on November-January of 2015 in Binjai. The statistical result show significance different between silkworm and snail (p<0.01).The absolute average weight of growth of the fish with the application of snails is 7.55 g, and with the silkworm is 8.89 g. The absolute length on the snail treatment is 3.36 cm and with the silkworm is 3.89 cm. The daily growth rate on the 70 th day age on snail and silkworm is 0.188 g and 0.213 g, while the higher specific growth rate to the snail and silkworm is 0.026% and 0.027%, Efficiency of fish feed with snail and silkworm is 0.381 g and 0.403 g. Keywords : Pangsasius sp., Growth, Silkworm (Tubifex sp.), Snails (Pila ampullaceae).
