Abstract

Background: the number of hemorhagic and non-hemorhagic stroke increase significantly year by year and the number of rehabilitation stage stroke patient that has the problem of family support is still high.Purpose: this study aims to determine the corellation between the level of family support and the level of self-esteem in stroke patients in the rehabilitation stage. Methods: the type of research design that researcher used is a correlation test design. The approaching methods that used by the researcher is a cross-sectional study. The researcher uses purposive sampling based on the criteria that researcher made. To  obtain the data researcher uses 2 questionaire, that is Family Support Questionaire and RSES (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale)Results: the result of this research is the value of Sig. (2-tailed) Spearman's rank test of family support with the level of self-esteem of stroke patients in the rehabilitation stage is 0.000 or p 0.05. Next is the value of Sig. (2-tailed) Spearman rank test of emotional support and appreciation with the self-esteem level of stroke patients in the rehabilitation stage is 0.000 or p 0.05, instrumental support with self-esteem is 0.000 or p 0.05, and informational support with self-esteem level. esteem is 0.01 or p 0.05.Conclusion: there is a corellation between family support both in general and in the aspects such as emotional, appreciation, instrumental, and informational aspects with the level of self-esteem in stroke patients in the rehabilitation stage.

Abstract

Background: the number of confirmed or positive cases of Covid-19 has increased significantly.  However, the behavior and awareness of the community to work together to fight Covid-19 is still low. Education through various methods and media is an important component in adapting to new normal life. The campus community is expected to be a pioneer in preventing the spread and transmission of covid-19. Purpose: to develop a virtual education audiovisual model for adapting to new normal, and to assess its effect on the behavior of the campus community in preventing the spread and transmission of covid-19.Methods: the research designs used Research and Development (RD) and true - experimental design with control group. The 306 respondents were recruited in this research by randomized. Data collection using a questionnaire assisted by the google form program. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test. Results: the results of the study showed that the virtual education audiovisual model with adaptation to new normal had an effect on increasing knowledge (p 0.0001), increasing positive attitudes (p 0.0001), and actions (p 0.0001) of the campus community. The total mean score of campus community behavior was in the range 0-75, before treatment was 65.69 (SD + 5.99) and after 73.52 (SD + 2.68) with a difference of 7.83 (p 0.0001).Conclusion: the virtual education audiovisual model of the new normal adaptation had improved the behavior of the campus community in preventing the spread and transmission of covid-19.

Abstract

Background: Simulation activities are an effective teaching method to increase student participation. Assessing student satisfaction with simulation methods is also important because it has not been fully explored in previous research.Purpose: The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between simulation design scale, education practice questionnaire, students' self-confidence and self-confidence in learning for Bachelor of Applied Nursing students. Methods: This research was a cross sectional descriptive study conducted on Bachelor of Applied Nursing students at the Ministry of Health Semarang Health Polytechnic in June-September 2023. The sample used was a total sampling of 80 students who were in the third year of study. Data collection techniques were carried out using the Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale (SCLS), Simulation Design Scale (SDS), and Educational Practice Questionnaire (EPQ) questionnaires and then processed using the Spearman rank test to determine the relationship between the three. Results: The results of the Spearman rank test test show that SDS is strongly related to EPQ (0.744), SDS is strongly related to SSCL (0.681), while EPQ is very strongly related to SSCL (0.846) with a positive relationship between each variable. There is a significant relationship between the SDS, EPQ, SSCL variables in Bachelor of Applied Nursing students with a p-value 0.05.Conclusion: Nursing students' satisfaction and confidence with simulation-based learning correlated with students' confidence in clinical practice.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease with increasing prevalence. Diabetes management through diet is a challenge, especially due to limited safe and nutritious food options. Semar Rice was developed as a solution to provide healthy food alternatives for people with diabetes. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to create an innovative food product in the form of analog rice from a combination of purple sweet potato, cinnamon, and milkfish bones as an alternative food for people with diabetes mellitus. Methods: This study used Research and Development method with laboratory testing for nutritional analysis. The research was conducted at the Food Nutrition and Health Laboratory of XYZ University from January to March 2024. Organoleptic tests were conducted on 10 healthy respondents aged 20-23 years. Three formulations were tested, namely A (35:35:30), B (60:20:20), and C (40:30:30). The glycemic index was tested by measuring the respondents' blood glucose response after consumption of 100 grams of Semar Rice compared to white rice. Results: Laboratory test results showed that sample A contained 56.88% carbohydrate, 6.03% fat, 12.26% protein, 2.82% glucose, and 3.35% sucrose. Semar rice with a portion of 297.4 grams had a glycemic index of 82.20 and a glycemic load of 49.78, although there were variations in results because some respondents did not follow the blood sugar check procedure. The organoleptic test showed a score of aroma 3, taste and texture 3.1, and color 3.5. Semar rice also meets SNI 6128-2015 standards for moisture and carbohydrate content. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study showed that Beras Semar has a low index glycemic compared to white rice. After doing Index Glycemic Test to 10 respondents, the result appear if the respondent’s glucose level more stable after consume Beras Semar than White Rice. KeywordsAnalog rice, diabetes mellitus, alternative food
