Abstract

ABSTRACT Melinjo be producing chips is one way to inerease the selling price of mmaterials, namely the pressing process material that is molded into melinjo. The purpose of this research was to design, build, test and analyze the economic value of grains’ chip molder. The parameters observed were effective capacity, percentage of damaged material, organoleptic’s test and economic analysis.Based on this research, it was summarized that the effective capacity of the equipment was 1,71 kg/hour and the damaged material’s percentage was 12%. The color was categorized as 2 (white), the thickness was categorized as 1 (thin) and the plavor was categorized as 2 (medium). Economic analysis was as follows : basic costs for the first to the fifth year was Rp. 4.286,8/kg, Rp. 3,968,21/kg, Rp. 3.862,16/kg, Rp. 3.809,22/kg and Rp. 3.777,53/kg respectively. Break even point (BEP) for the first to fifth year was 289.78 kg/year, 156.22 kg/year, 111.77 kg/year, 89.57 kg/year and 76.29 kg/year respective. Internal rate of return  was 45.72%. ABSTRAK   Memproduksi melinjo menjadi keripik merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan harga jual bahan, yaitu dengan proses pengepresan bahan yang dicetak menjadi emping melinjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, membuat, menguji serta menganalisis nilai ekonomis alat. Paremeter yang diamati yaitu kapasitas efektif alat, persentase bahan rusak, uji organoleptik dan analisi ekonomi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kapasitas efektif alat sebesar 1,71 kg/jam dan persentase bahan rusak sebesar 12%. Organoleptik warna dikategorikan 2 (putih), ketebalan dikategorikan 1 (tipis) dan rasa dikategorikan 2 (sedang). Analisis ekonomi, biaya pokok untuk tahun pertama sampai tahun kelima berturut-turut yaitu Rp. 4.286,8/kg, Rp. 3.968,21/kg, Rp. 3.862,16/kg, Rp. 3.809,22/kg dan Rp. 3.777,53/kg. Nilai titik impas (BEP) untuk tahun pertama sampai tahun kelima sebanyak 289,78 kg/tahun, 156,22 kg/tahun, 111,77 kg/tahun, 89,57 kg/tahun dan 76,29 kg/tahun. Internal rate of return adalah sebesar 45,72%.   Kata kunci : emping melinjo, alat pencetak.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Percut Sei Tuan District as the largest centre of rice production in Deli Serdang Regency, must be studied its rice field irrigation system to hold out and increase rice production. The purpose of this research was to study the rice production potential in Bandar Sidoras irrigation fields in Percut Sei Tuan district Deli Serdang regency in achieving the maximum level of rice production based on sun  radiation level, time to grow rice, and rice variety. This research was also studied the ratio between irrigation field and crops field, and reliability of existing irrigation networks. In the period of 2009-2013, the results indicated that the irrigation network reliability was good enough. The average value of the actual productivity of rice was 5,63 ton/ha, the average ratio between irrigation field and crops field was 2,98 and the rice production target was 64,09%. ABSTRAK Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan sebagai daerah penghasil produksi padi terbesar di Kabupaten Deli Serdang, perlu dikaji jaringan irigasinya yang menjadi sumber air untuk meningkatkan produksi padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi produksi padi Daerah Irigasi Bandar Sidoras di Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang  dalam aras pencapaian produksi padi yang maksimal, berdasarkan tingkat radiasi matahari, lama waktu pertumbuhan tanaman padi, serta varietas padi yang ditanam. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji nisbah luas lahan panen dengan luas lahan beririgasi, dan keandalan jaringan irigasi. Dalam kurun waktu 2009-2013 diperoleh hasil bahwa keandalan jaringan irigasi terpenuhi. Rata-rata nilai produktivitas aktual padi 5,63 ton/ha, rata-rata nilai nisbah luas panen dengan luas lahan beririgasi 2,98 dan rata-rata nilai aras pencapaian produksi padi 64,09%. Kata Kunci: padi, aras produksi, potensi produksi, jaringan irigasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of land within a Sub-Watershed Area that is intended for oil palm plantations is having fertilization treatment and the effect of rainfall can cause erosion of some elements of soil fertilization, such as nitrogen and phosphorus that flowing into water bodies causing contamination. Nitrogen and Phosphorus Contaminants in the water bodies of the river will depend on the rainfall. Therefore a study is needed on total nitrogen and total phosphorus to determine the extent of nitrogen and phosphorus that come flowing into rivers and rainfall relationship with total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The results showed the total amount of nitrogen in the Sub-Watershed Area Sei Kalemba (Watershed Padang) was 0 to 5.59 mg / litre and the total amount of phosphorus in the Sub-Watershed Area Sei Kalemba (Watershed Padang) was 1.82 to 36.73 mg / litre. Total Nitrogen (TN) in the Sub-Watershed Area Sei Kalemba (Wareshed Padang) showed no inclination relationship with rainfall.Total Phosphorus (TP) in the Sub-Watershed Area Sei Kalemba (Watershed Padang) showed a relationship with rainfall although the relationship was not linear. ABSTRAK Penggunaan lahan dalam suatu Sub DAS yang diperuntukan bagi lahan kelapa sawit yang mendapatkan perlakuan pemupukan dan pengaruh curah hujan dapat menyebabkan tergerusnya beberapa unsur kesuburan tanah, seperti unsur Nitrogen dan Fosfor yang mengalir masuk ke badan sungai menyebabkan terjadinya kontaminasi. Kontaminan Nitrogen dan Fosfor di badan air sungai akan bergantung kepada curah hujan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kajian mengenai total Nitrogen dan total Fosfor untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Nitrogen dan Fosfor yang ikut mengalir ke sungai dan hubungan curah hujan dengan total Nitrogen dan total Fosfor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan total Nitrogen dalam Sub DAS Sei Kalemba (DAS Padang) didapat sebesar 0 - 5,59 mg/liter dan kandungan total Fosfor dalam Sub DAS Sei Kalemba (DAS Padang) didapat sebesar 1,82 – 36,73 mg/liter. Total Nitrogen (TN) pada Sub DAS Sei Kalemba (DAS Padang) tidak menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan hubungan dengan curah hujan. Total Fosfor (TP) pada Sub DAS Sei Kalemba (DAS Padang) menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan hubungan dengan curah hujan walaupun kecenderungan hubungannya tidak linear.
