Abstract

Green construction is an effort or strategy for managing construction activities, including the use of efficient and environmentally friendly resources so that they can support a sustainable movement. However, in reality not all parties related to construction activities understand what is meant by green construction. In this regard, a study was conducted to find out how the understanding of construction actors, especially contractors, in the application of green construction. The research was conducted on the Gianyar Market development project because this project has the desire to apply the green building concept. The method used is a qualitative method with interviews, with respondents who are involved in the construction process of the Gianyar Market development. From the results of the study, it was found that the level of understanding of the informants on green construction was sufficient. The resource persons did not fully understand the aspects and factors as well as indicators in green construction. This can be seen from several key statements stating that the explanation of green construction is still general, including green construction which is environmentally friendly construction, does not pollute the environment, and minimizes the negative impact of construction on the environment. From the contractor side, it still requires a more detailed understanding related to green construction. Furthermore, socialization and training can be carried out, as well as strengthening the interpretation of related regulations to increase understanding of green construction.

Abstract

Tukad Kelandis is a tributary of the Tukad Ayung Watershed which is located downstream. In 2021 floods occurred in Tukad Kelandis resulting in one of the places affected by flooding, namely the Art Center area. So it is necessary to do research on the analysis of peak flood discharge on the Tukad Kelandis river using rational methods. Maximum runoff occurs when the rainfall is during the same time as the catchment area concentration time in the rational method. Based on the research results, the amount of planned flood discharge in the Tukad Kelandis watershed was obtained using the rational method for return periods of 2, 5, 10, 20, and 25 years, namely: Q2 Year = 273,890 m3/s, Q5 Year = 337,372 m3/s, Q10 Year = 373,194 m3/ s, Q20 Year = 399,610 m3/ s, Q25 Year = 413,406 m3/ s.

Abstract

Sawangan Beach is located directly facing the Indian Ocean, the high waves and the generation by the wind which produce great energy that hits Sawangan Beach. The coastline was a setback when, around 2010, the access from Sawangan Beach to Pura Geger had turned into rock because the sand on the beach was increasingly eroding. The increasingly steep coastal contours can interfere with fishing activities and the existence of existing groin buildings that are hit by high waves causes the position of the protective stones to not function properly. Therefore it is considered necessary to know the wave height and period at Sawangan Beach. This wave height calculation can later be used in planning appropriate coastal protection structures on the beach. Calculation of wave height in this study focuses on wave generation due to wind, which is called a wind setup using the hindcasting method. Data In determining wave height, wind data is needed. Monthly maximum average wind data from BMKG sources includes 8 directions and wind speeds. The dominant wind is cdaric eastward c, namely c40.83%. Forecasting wave height (hindcasting) from the calculation of the wind stress factor and effective fetch, the value of the wave height (H) is 2.75 meters with a wave period (T) of 10 seconds

Abstract

Drainage is a system created to overcome the problem of excess water above ground and water below ground. The performance of the drainage system is determined by using good construction techniques, carrying out routine and periodic maintenance. Heavy rains not only cause surface water runoff but also urban surface water runoff which forms puddles of water due to the low carrying capacity of the drainage system. One of the areas that experienced flooding in the city of Denpasar was Jalan Antasura in the Peguyangan Kaja area, North Denpasar, which was caused by blockage of channels by sediment caused by rubbish. This research monitors and evaluates rainfall, flood discharge and water capacity in drainage channels. The results of the calculation evaluation and comparison with HEC-RAS modeling show that the water capacity in the drainage channel at the 0-800 m point does not meet the design flood discharge results for all return periods, so it is predicted that the drainage channel will cause flooding, while the water capacity in the drainage channel at the point 800-1000 m still meets the design flood discharge at the 2 year and 5 year return periods, but does not meet the 10 year return period, so it is predicted that the drainage channel will still meet capacity if channel normalization is carried out every year.

Abstract

Flooding that occurs due to runoff and scouring of Nusa Dua estuary reservoir water in Denpasar city causes the risk of inundating the surrounding roads and entering the mangrove forest. One of the efforts made by the Bali-Penida River Basin Hall is to carry out a flood control facility construction project. The purpose of this study is to identify the risks faced, measure and determine the magnitude of acceptable risks. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted by interviews related to risk identification and questionnaires related to risk assessment. The results showed that the risks identified in the implementation of the flood control facility development project in the Nusa Dua estuary reservoir amounted to 36 risks consisting of 10 risk sources. The dominant source of risk is technical, project and safety risks with a percentage of 14%. After an assessment by 17 respondents, there were 15 risks (86%) with unacceptable categories, 10 risks (63%) with undesirable categories, 7 risks (38%) with acceptable categories, and 4 risks (13%) with negligible categories.

Abstract

Changes in spatial patterns, especially the transformation of land from green open spaces to built-up areas, have caused various impacts on the environment and urban drainage systems. This study analyzes the driving factors of spatial pattern change on urban drainage in West Denpasar District, with a special focus on Padangsambian Kelod Village and Pemecutan Kelod Village. This study aims to identify and understand the factors that contribute to changes in the drainage system in the region. The research methods used include collecting spatial data through satellite imagery and thematic maps, field surveys for direct observation, and interviews with residents and related stakeholders. The collected data was then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to identify spatial change patterns and their driving factors. The results show that the change in spatial patterns towards urban drainage in West Denpasar District is driven by several main factors, including rapid population growth, intensive infrastructure development, and land use change from agricultural to residential and commercial. These factors have led to increased surface runoff, decreased drainage capacity, and increased flood risk in the region. This study concludes that a more integrated and sustainable drainage management approach is needed to overcome the challenges posed by changes in spatial patterns. The recommendations submitted include increasing drainage capacity, implementing environmentally friendly development practices, and increasing public awareness about the importance of maintaining urban drainage systems.
