Abstract

Proses yang dilakukan dalam pengolahan kacang mentah hingga menjadi camilan membutuhkan proses yang cukup lama, khususnya dalam pemisahan biji dengan kulit ari kacang tanah yang masih tercampur setelah proses pengupasan kulit ari kacang yang selama ini masih menggunakan cara manual atau dipilah satu persatu menggunakan tangan. Untuk memenuhi produktifitas yang tinggi dan untuk membantu mitra industri olahan kacang bagi UKM Kota Probolinggo sekaligus mendukung usaha mitra, perlu diimplementasikan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin pemisah kulit ari kacang. Tujuan dalam implementasi ini yaitu mengatasi kesulitan proses pengolahan kacang pada proses pemisahan kulit ari kacang yang selama ini dilakukan dengan cara manual yang kapasitas produksinya masih rendah dan mendifusikan mesin pemisah kulit ari kacang dengan cara memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan tentang cara pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin pemisah kulit ari kacang. Berdasarkan implementasi yang telah dilakukan, peningkatan produksi dapat diaktualisasi mampu meningkat hingga 30%, sehingga implementasi mesin pemisah kulit ari kacang dapat memberikan sumbangsih yang relatif besar untuk meningkatkan produktifitas, kualitas dan omzet bagi para pelaku UKM Kota Probolinggo. Kata kunci— Pemisah Kulit Ari Kacang, Pengabdian Masyarakat, Teknologi Tepat Guna  Abstract The process carried out in processing peanuts into snacks requires a long process, especially in separating the seeds from the peanut shells that are still mixed after the process of peeling the skin from the peanuts, which so far are still using the manual method or sorting one by one by hand. To meet high productivity and to help partners in the peanut processing industry for SMEs in Probolinggo City as well as to support partner businesses, it is necessary to implement appropriate technology in the form of a peanut husk separator. The purpose of this implementation is to overcome the difficulties of processing peanuts in the process of separating the skin of the peanut which has been done manually with the production capacity still and to diffuse the machine that separates the skin of the peanut by means of knowledge and skills on how to operate and maintain the machine that separates the peanut husk. Based on the implementation that has been done, the increase in production can be actualized up to 30%, so that the implementation of the peanut husk separator machine can make a relatively large contribution to increasing productivity, quality, and turnover for SMEs in Probolinggo. Keywords— The Peanut Husk Separator Machine, Community Dedication, Appropriate Technology

Abstract

As it has been widely known that the spectacular characteristics of nanomaterials are strongly dependent on their particle size, crystal structure, and molecular arrangement. The fine structure formation of nanomaterials is inevitable in an attempt of optimizing their promising applications in various fields. One of the notable nanomaterials up to now is hausmannite or Mn3O4. This paper presents a combination of coprecipitation and sonochemical routes in a concurrent way to produce spinel-structured hausmannite nanomaterials. The pH was varied during the synthesis at values of 9, 10, 11, 11.5, and 12. The crystal structure properties were evaluated by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) with the diffraction angle range of 15° - 80°. The functional groups were investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry having wavenumber from 400 to 4000 cm-1. In this study, pH 10 was found to be the best synthesis parameter in producing Mn3O4. Both XRD and FTIR data analyses have agreed on the formation of spinel hausmannite nanomaterials.

Abstract

Community service with SME Sakinah Bakery is carried out to increase the production capacity and quality. Sakinah Bakery produces sponge cake and pastries that are very popular within the community and spread across 500 vendor shops in Malang City and Regency. Consumer demands has not been fully fulfilled due to low production capacity. About 10% of the product are undercooked or overcooked. These low quality products reduce the taste and aroma, breaks easily and becomes mushy quickly. Based on surveys and interviews, partner needs an large capacity oven that can produce well-cooked biscuits. The production tool that determine the cake ripeness is oven. This problem is overcomed by making an oven with electronic controls to stabilize the temperature and baking time. Temperature control with sensor feedback mounted on the combustion chamber forms a stable closed loop control system. Proper heating is obtained by controlling the LPG main valve. The three furnaces are spread out to get an even heating. The oven was able to increase 60% the production capacity per bake. The number of fail product decreases by 5.19% indicated that the product quality increases. Technology transfer in the form of training is carried out to maintain the quality.

Abstract

Energi angin menjadi salah satu energi terbarukan yang tidak terdegradasi, dan tersebar secara geografis. Pemanfaatan energi angin juga di dukung dengan ditargetkannya bauran energi 23% berasal dari EBT pada 2025 mendatang. Kementrian ESDM (Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral) RI juga mengatakan bahwa potensi angin di Indonesia sangat tinggi mencapai 978 MW yang tersebar di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Lokasi Pengabdian Masyarakat yaitu Wisata Dilem Wilis Trenggalek memiliki potensi energi angin yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menghasilkan listrik, sehingga perlu diimplementasikan turbin angin tipe helix untuk mendukung ketersediaan energi listrik. Adapaun hasil dari pengabdian ini antara lain: terwujudnya satu unit turbin angin tipe helix sebegai alternatif energi yang bersih dan terbarukan yang dapat menghasilkan listrik sekitar 300 watt; terjadinya transfer teknologi dan pengetahuan khususnya tentang implementasi dan perawatan turbin angin tipe helix. Turbin ini dapat beroperasi dan mulai melakukan pengisian pada kecepatan angin sekitar 3m/detik. Kata kunci— Turbin Angin, Energi Terbarukan Abstract  Wind energy is one of the renewable energies that is not degraded, and is geographically dispersed. The use of wind energy is also supported by the target of 23% of the energy mix coming from NRE in 2025. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Energy and Mineral Resources) of the Republic of Indonesia also said that the wind potential in Indonesia is very high, reaching 978 MW spread across various regions in Indonesia. The location of the Community Service, namely Dilem Wilis Trenggalek, has the potential for wind energy that can be used to generate electricity, so it is necessary to implement a helix type wind turbine to support the availability of electrical energy. The results of this service include: the realization of a helix type wind turbine unit as a clean and renewable energy alternative which can generate about 300 watts of electricity; the transfer of technology and knowledge, especially regarding the implementation of helix type wind turbines. This turbine can operate and start charging at a wind speed of about 3m/s. Keywords— Wind turbine, Savonius, Renewable Energy

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Wanita (KWT) Desa Srigading Kecamatan Lawang Kabupaten Malang menjadi salah satu penghasil pengolahan kopi di Malang. Akan tetapi dalam proses produksinya masih menggunakan cara tradisional terutama dalam pengupasan biji kopi dengan cara ditumbuk. Penerapan teknologi tepat guna pascapanen kopi merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah komoditas perkebunan kopi. Untuk memenuhi produktifitas yang tinggi dan untuk membantu mitra industri olahan kopi di Kecamatan Lawang sekaligus mendukung usaha mitra, perlu diimplementasikan Teknologi Tepat Guna berupa Mesin Pengupas Kopi. Tujuan dalam implementasi ini yaitu mengatasi kesulitan proses pengolahan kopi pada proses pengupasan yang selama ini dilakukan dengan cara ditumbuk yang kapasitas produksinya masih rendah dan mendifusikan Mesin Pengupas Kopi dengan cara memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan tentang cara pengoperasian dan perawatan Mesin Pengupas Kopi. Abstract

Naturally fractured reservoir differs frorn clastic reservoirs in the sense that the con-cepts of porous media which were usually applied for clastic reservoir analysis rnust bemodified. This means that handling naturally fractured reservoir is also different com-pared to handling clastic reservoir. The porosity may be changed a bit bigger but thepermeability is drastically changed. Also at a depth where rock layers are usually tight,naturally fractured reservoirs converts it to become a good reservoirs. Naturally fracturedreservoirs can be found in sorne part of the Indonesian basin which may contribute aconsiderable additional reserves in the near future.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memberikan pembimbingan dalam penanganan kesulitan membaca yang dialami oleh kelas 3 dan 4 SDN Panjalu. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan Metode Service Learning dengan mengintegrasikan pembelajaran ke dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat atau Kemitraan Universitas–Masyarakat (KUM). Pengabdian berbasis penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas III dan IV di SDN Putra Panjalu menghadapi beragam tantangan dalam kemampuan membaca, terutama terkait pengenalan huruf, pengejaan, serta pembacaan huruf konsonan, vokal, diftong, dan suku kata. Faktor penyebab adalah minimnya dukungan orang tua, lingkungan yang kurang mendukung, serta rendahnya minat siswa untuk belajar. Hasil pengabdian yang berdampak kepada masyarakat adalah peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa, keberhasilan dalam identifikasi masalah membaca, meningkatnya kesadaran guru, peningkatan dukungan orang tua, pengembangan bahan ajar membaca, serta peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare how PT Indonesia Nippon Saiki and PT Gaji Pintar Indonesia assess performance using a rating scale based on behavior (BARS). The BARS method was chosen because it can describe specific behaviors to provide a more objective and measurable assessment. The research was conducted through questionnaires and interviews with employees and managers from both companies. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of BARS at PT Indonesia Nippon Saiki is more structured and consistent. In contrast, the implementation of BARS at PT Gaji Pintar Indonesia tends to be more flexible but less systematic. These findings provide insights into the effectiveness of the BARS method in improving the quality of performance evaluations and offer recommendations for the best method to be applied in companies. It is hoped that this research will help other companies use better performance evaluation methods.

Abstract

The growing prominence of Islamic banks in Southeast Asia highlights the importance of understanding their financial performance to maintain public trust and enhance competitiveness. This research aims to compare the financial performance of Islamic commercial banks (BUS) in Indonesia and Malaysia by employing the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) method and analyzing the application of the Islamic Corporate Governance (ICG) index. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the study utilizes financial performance data from the 2021-2022 annual reports of selected banks. The SCnP method categorizes Sharia banks into four quadrants: Upper Right Quadrant (URQ), Lower Right Quadrant (LRQ), Upper Left Quadrant (ULQ), and Lower Left Quadrant (LLQ). Results indicate that Bank BCA Syariah (BCAS), Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), and National Pension Savings Bank (BTPNS) demonstrate superior performance, as they are positioned in the URQ. Additionally, the ICG analysis reveals that Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) achieves the highest governance index score at 62%, followed by BCAS from Indonesia at 56%. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and bank managers, emphasizing the critical role of governance and Sharia compliance in driving the success of Islamic banks in the region
