Abstract

Kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue sangat erat kaitannya dengan faktor lingkungan, yaitu tersedianya tempat berkembangbiak (breeding place) vektor nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Sampah yang paling berbahaya adalah sampah anorganik, hal ini dikarenakan sampah jenis ini sulit diurai oleh bakteri atau dekomposer. Salah satu sampah anorganik yang membutuhkan penanganan khusus dalam mengelola dan mengolahnya adalah sampah plastik. Sifat dari sampah plastik adalah tidak mudah diurai, proses pengelolaannya menimbulkan toksik dan bersifat karsinogenik serta membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama untuk bisa terurai secara alamiah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang cara mengelola sampah plastik rumah tangga yang dihasilkan kepada anak-anak  anggota Tanggap Bocah  melalui kader pendamping Tanggap Bocah di Kecamatan Sleman Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Puskesmas Sleman dilakukan di wilayah Desa Trimulyo yang merupakan bagian dari wilayah kerjanya. Kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar dan sukses. Pengetahuan peserta semakin bertambah dengan diberikannya materi penyuluhan ini, hal ini dibuktikan dengan sesi diskusi pada akhir kegiatan dengan memberikan pertanyaan pemicu peserta mampu menjelaskan untuk materi intinya. Kelanjutan pembinaan dan pemantauan terhadap kader dan anggota tanggap bocah diserahkan kepada pihak Puskesmas. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah kader pendamping melakukan pelatihan dan penyampaian infromasi kepada anggota Tanggap Bocah di wilayahnya masing-masing.---The incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is closely related to environmental factors, namely the availability of breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. The most dangerous waste is inorganic waste, this is caused by the type of waste that is difficult to decompose or decompose. One of the inorganic waste that requires special handling in managing and processing is plastic waste. The nature of plastic waste is that it is not easy to decompose, the management process is toxic and carcinogenic and takes a very long time to decompose naturally. This activity aims to increase knowledge about how to manage household plastic waste generated for the children of Tanggap Bocah members through the assistant cadres of Tanggap Bocah in Sleman District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Community service activities at the Sleman Health Center are carried out in the Trimulyo Village area which is part of its working area. The activity went smoothly and successfully. The knowledge of the participants was increased by the provision of this counseling material, this was evidenced by the discussion session at the end of the activity by asking questions that triggered the participants to be able to explain the material. Continuing coaching and monitoring of cadres and responsive members are left to the Puskesmas. The follow-up to this activity is for the companion cadres to conduct training and deliver information to the members of Responding Bocah in their respective areas.

Abstract

Community-Based Total Sanitation is an approach and paradigm of sanitation development in Indonesia that emphasizes maximizing community empowerment through triggering to increase behavior change, especially behavior change in terms of sanitation. In addition to nutritional conditions, poor environmental factors related to drinking water and sanitation can also increase the risk of stunting. There is a very close relationship between poverty, access to drinking water, and sanitation and the incidence of stunting. One of the efforts to integrate the acceleration of nutrition improvement through stunting prevention, since 2017 various pieces of training involving nutrition and environmental health officers have begun to be provided. The addition of an output indicator of 3 stunting pillars so that currently there are 8 STBM-Stunting pillars. The material was delivered using the principles of adult learning, followed by simulation and practice of triggering the STBM pillar. Participants were health cadres and the stunting prevention team of Argodadi Village. Through practical simulations in training, then health cadres are expected to be able to trigger STBM-stunting. In the final session as a follow-up plan, the cadres agreed on a commitment to conduct similar training in their respective hamlet areas

Abstract

Environmental quality deterioration occurs globally, both in developed and developing countries. The concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has increased, with the occurrence of the process of climate change (climate change) and global warming, which impacts and effects can be felt in everyday life. The development development in various cities and regions still ignores sustainable development or sustainable development. The growth of an area vertically or horizontally has an impact on the occurrence of pollution to water, soil and air. Although naturally air can carry out self-purification, according to WHO, the current condition has reached an alarming stage, this is because nine out of 10 people in the world breathe polluted air in turn. Meanwhile, more than half of the world's population currently live in urban environments. This article is written to explore the extent of the impact of air pollution that is currently occurring with the incidence of air borne disease on a local, regional and global scale. The current decline in air quality is more predominantly caused by human activities in the form of transportation and increased industrial activities. Poor air quality is associated with an increase in the prevalence of clinical manifestations of asthma and allergies, especially in children, this is because the development of the respiratory organs in children has not yet been formed and is accustomed to breathing in excess amounts of air pollutants. He further stated that air pollution kills around seven million people every year. Efforts to monitor air environment conditions are a good step to provide an early warning system of actions that must be taken so as not to cause greater impacts and losses.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah masih menjadi isu besar di Indonesia, di mana masyarakat masih banyak mengelola sampah dengan cara dibakar, dibuang, atau ditumpuk di lahan terbuka. Praktik ini menimbulkan pencemaran udara dan risiko kesehatan seperti ISPA. Dusun Senowo, Bantul, menghadapi permasalahan serupa karena sebagian besar warga membakar sampah rumah tangga akibat minimnya pengetahuan tentang pemilahan dan daur ulang. Program REGAL (Recycle Galon for Compost and POC) hadir sebagai solusi dengan memanfaatkan galon bekas sebagai wadah pengomposan sederhana. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengurangi praktik pembakaran, meningkatkan kesadaran pemilahan sampah, serta menghasilkan kompos dan pupuk organik cair (POC) yang bermanfaat bagi warga. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan 49 ibu-ibu PKK RT 19 dan RT 20. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi masalah, sosialisasi bahaya sampah, demonstrasi pembuatan REGAL, serta praktik langsung pengolahan kompos dan POC. Hasil menunjukkan adanya perubahan perilaku masyarakat, peningkatan pengetahuan tentang bahaya pembakaran, serta keterampilan baru dalam membuat REGAL. Sebelum kegiatan, sampah organik sering dibakar, sedangkan setelah kegiatan warga mulai memilah dan mengolah sampah menjadi kompos dan POC. Program ini membuktikan bahwa inovasi sederhana berbasis partisipasi masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Aktivitas industri gula selama musim giling berpotensi meningkatkan konsentrasi debu partikulat yang dapat memengaruhi kesehatan masyarakat di sekitar pabrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sebaran debu partikulat (PM2,5 dan PM₁₀) serta risiko kesehatan masyarakat di sekitar Pabrik Gula X, berdasarkan perbedaan musim giling dan non-giling. Penelitian menggunakan desain observasional deskriptif-analitik dengan pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Pengukuran PM2,5 dan PM₁₀ dilakukan menggunakan alat DAZ-400 pada radius 0–2000 meter dari sumber emisi, disertai wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi debu cenderung menurun seiring bertambahnya jarak dari sumber pencemar dan mengikuti arah angin dominan. Pada musim giling, rata-rata konsentrasi PM2,5 tertinggi sebesar 40,26 µg/m³ ditemukan pada radius 0–500 meter. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan keluhan kesehatan antara musim giling dan non-giling (p<0,05) serta hubungan yang signifikan antara paparan debu dan keluhan kesehatan masyarakat (p<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas musim giling meningkatkan konsentrasi debu partikulat dan risiko gangguan kesehatan, terutama pada wilayah yang berdekatan dengan sumber emisi.

Abstract

Debu partikulat, terutama PM₂.₅ dan PM₁₀, merupakan pencemar udara yang banyak ditemukan pada rumah di sekitar industri penggilingan batu dan berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan sehingga diperlukan upaya pengendalian yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas alat Dust Eliminator Catcher sebagai media filtrasi udara dalam menurunkan konsentrasi PM2,5 dan PM₁₀ pada ruang tertutup rumah di sekitar industri penggilingan batu X. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan Pre-Post Group Design pada rumah yang berada di sekitar lokasi industri. Analisis dilakukan serta menggunakan paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan alat menurunkan rata-rata konsentrasi PM2,5 sebesar 35,23 µg/m³ dan PM₁₀ sebesar 69,96 µg/m³. Rata-rata penurunan pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 3,99 µg/m³ (10,19%) untuk PM2,5 dan 4,65 µg/m³ (6,21%) untuk PM₁₀, dengan perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik (p<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa Dust Eliminator Catcher efektif menurunkan konsentrasi debu partikulat di ruang tertutup dan berpotensi menjadi alternatif teknologi sederhana untuk meningkatkan kualitas udara dalam rumah di kawasan sekitar industri penggilingan batu.

Abstract

Background: Air is a basic and primary need for living things. Good air contains the element oxygen in sufficient quantities. Oxygen plays an important role in the body's metabolic processes. Oxygen deficiency will cause hypoxia and fatal conditions can cause death. Good air pollution standard index When it has a level of less than 50, the lower the value, the better the air quality in an environment. Environmental problems related to air quality have now reached a disturbing stage and are a priority to be addressed immediately. Sources of pollutants in the ambient air, among others, are due to human activities. The urbanization of the population and industry are the two main sources that are thought to reduce air quality to a low level. All control efforts are currently being carried out, starting from control at the source to the environment and efforts to protect the living things affected. This study aims to determine the traffic density and the influence of various types of plants along the main road on the levels of dust and noise in the ambient air of the city of Yogyakarta. Method: This research is qualitative research using observational research methods supported by a literature review. Results: The results of the study show that the traffic density in the city of Yogyakarta fluctuates a lot but tends to be high. Traffic density has an impact on noise and dust levels in the ambient air of Yogyakarta City. Conclusion: The recommended air pollution control effort is to control the second node of the existing pollution control node. The intervention is carried out in the vehicle (ambient air), this is because the pollutants are already in the environment so an effective and efficient control model can be carried out in the ambient air environment by utilizing plants as green open spaces.
