Abstract

The use of suitable waste products as raw materials has become an interesting matter in composite industry nowadays due to the environmental issues. Volcanic ash is one of the waste materials containing a high number of silica. The aim of this study is to examine the morphological and mechanical properties of Mt. Kelud volcanic ash reinforced polyester and epoxy composites. The volcano ash was dried and sieved into 50 mesh then mixed with polyester or epoxy manually for 10 minutes. The ash added into the matrix was varied by 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% from matrix volume content. For epoxy matrix, the composite with 40 vol. % particles has the highest tensile strength. However, for the polyester/ash composites, the tensile strength continues to decrease with the addition of particles. There is a significant increasing of 47.04 % for polyester and 5.62 % for epoxy in impact strength when 40 vol. % of volcanic ash added into both polymers. The Scanning Electron Microscopy result shows that there is void and agglomeration contained in epoxy/ash composites and crack propagation along the surface of polyester/ash composites that could be the cause of the failure.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between perceptions of career development and the performance of . Jaya Tama Inovasi Agro Indonesia employees. The population of this study were employees in 3 fields, namely the education administration section, the marketing administration section and the work placement administration, totaling 55 people. The research sample uses a saturated sample system where the total population is used as a sample in the study. This study uses one scale, namely the career development perception scale. While the employee performance scale of the documentation method was taken in the HRD section of the . Jaya Tama Inovasi Agro Indonesia. On the career development perception scale consists of 4 aspects, namely responsibility, position status, authority, and compensation and employee performance scale is work quantity, work quality, work attendance and work timeliness. Data collection uses one psychological scale, namely the Career Development Perception Scale ( 40 items were declared valid with a value of r count > r table (0.3) and all items were declared reliable with a Cronbach alpha value of 0.916). The results of this study showed a correlation coefficient rxy 0.778 with p = 0.000 (p <0.01). These results indicate that the hypothesis put forward by researchers is that there is a positive relationship between perceptions of career development and the performance of . Jaya Tama Inovasi Agro Indonesia employees. The positive correlation coefficient value indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive, meaning that the more positive the perception of career development, the better the performance of the . Jaya Tama Inovasi Agro Indonesia employees. Perceptions of career development make an effective contribution of 60.6% to the performance of . Jaya Tama Inovasi Agro Indonesia and 39.4% are influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the fields of education and career development. Vocational High School students are faced with challenges to prepare themselves for an increasingly competitive and technology-based world of work. This study aims to identify effective career development strategies for vocational students in the digital era. Through literature analysis and case studies, this research found that the utilization of information technology, soft skills development, and collaboration with industry are key to improving students' work readiness. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for educators, students, and stakeholders in formulating career development programs that are relevant and adaptive to the needs of the labor market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of cassava leaf-based animal feed ( Manihot utilissima ) in Sumberejo Village, Pagar Merbau District, Deli Serdang Regency. This study uses a nonprobability sampling method with a saturated sampling technique. With a total of 53 respondents consisting of 50 consumers, 1 business owner and 2 employees. This study uses primary and secondary data. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis to determine what factors influence the development strategy of cassava leaf animal feed and descriptive analysis to analyze the development strategy for the potential and opportunities of using cassava leaves as animal feed. This research method uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that cassava leaves have a high crude protein content, which is around 20-30%, and contain crude fiber, fat, and minerals that are beneficial for livestock growth. Multiple linear regression analysis in this study shows that all independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. Among these factors, the economic aspect makes the largest contribution, making it the main factor influencing the dependent variable. Furthermore, social aspects and external support also play a significant role in determining the results. In addition, other factors such as technology, resources, and marketing and distribution also have a significant impact, although with a smaller influence compared to economic and social aspects. Thus, the regression model shows a positive relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, so that improvements in these aspects will increase the dependent variable, with the main priority on economic and social aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM) terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional I. Pengembangan SDM mencakup motivasi, kepribadian, dan keterampilan, sedangkan kinerja karyawan diukur melalui kualitas, kuantitas, waktu, biaya, pengawasan, dan hubungan antar karyawan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel jenuh, yakni 30 karyawan tetap bagian SDM & Sistem Manajemen. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan kuesioner, lalu dianalisis dengan regresi linear sederhana menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan SDM berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, ditunjukkan oleh nilai t hitung 5,872 > t tabel 1,699 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya, semakin baik program pengembangan SDM maka semakin meningkat pula kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar perusahaan terus meningkatkan pelatihan, memberikan apresiasi, dan mengembangkan keterampilan karyawan guna mendorong produktivitas secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The research objectives were: (1) to find out how much corn farming income was in the research area, (2) to find out the efficiency level of farming income in the research area, (3) to find out strategies for increasing production in the research area. The sampling method uses saturated sampling method (census) with a sample of 30 farmers, the data used are primary and secondary data. Data were analyzed using I = TR-TC to calculate income, to calculate the level of efficiency a = R/C, and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the average income of corn farmers per hectare in Sena Village was Rp. 6,455,000. R/C value of 1.51 means corn farming is efficient and feasible to cultivate. From the results of the IE matrix, it can be found that the internal X point is 0.9 and the Y point is 0.
