Abstract

Some students regard mathematics as a subject matter. Independence, concentration, liveliness, and student self-confidence are still low. The use of existing teaching materials less facilitate students in the process of learning mathematics. This study aims to develop and test Student Worksheet's feasibility (LKS) with a contextual approach on the linear equation system material of two variables for class VIII in Junior High School (SMP).  This research method uses Research and Development (R & D), covering the stage of preparation, implementation, testing, and revision. The data analysis technique used is the questionnaire instrument analysis. Research subjects are material experts, media experts, and students of grade VIII in SMP.  The result of the research and development of LKS shows that the material expert's assessment obtained 96,6 score with a very good criterion, from media expert 75,6 with good criterion. Moreover, the result of student response to LKS is good, with a scoring average of 47,75. The result shows that LKS, with a contextual approach on the linear equation system material of two variables for class VIII in SMP, is feasible to be used as learning material in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII di salah satu MTs Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Bantul tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dalam mata pelajaran matematika masih rendah. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT) kelas VII Di salah satu MTs Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Bantul tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek siswa kelas VII B di salah satu MTs Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Bantul tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika dengan pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus dilaksanakan satu kali pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket dan catatan harian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII B di salah satu MTs Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Bantul tahun ajaran 2017/2018 mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Peningkatan kepercayaan diri ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan setiap indikator kepercayaan diri siswa serta nilai rata-rata kelas. Indikator percaya pada kemampuan sendiri yang dimiliki siswa adalah 60,49% (cukup) menjadi 66,82% (tinggi), indikator bertindak mandiri dalam mengambil keputusan yang dimiliki oleh siswa adalah 58,80% (cukup) menjadi 67,59% (tinggi), indikator memiliki konsep diri yang positif pada siswa sebesar 60,19% (cukup) menjadi 71,45% (tinggi), dan indikator berani mengungkapkan pendapat yang dimiliki oleh siswa sebesar 58,33% (cukup) menjadi 68,39% (tinggi). Sedangkan untuk nilai rata-rata kelas dari siklus I sebesar 59,41% (cukup) menjadi 68,56% (tinggi) pada siklus II.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes associated with many factors. The relationship between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and family students' environment is possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of positive and significant relationships between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the family student's environment to Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VII A, VII B, VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F, VII G, VII H, VII I, VII J, totaling 345 students. Samples were taken from VII B as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the environment of family student and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, linearity test, and the test of independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning cylinders, learning creativity, and the environment of the family student with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. It is showed by Fcount  Ftable is  with 8 and  with , with relative contribution , relative contribution  and relative contribution , effective contribution  dan effective contribution .

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung selama ini masih belum memaksimalkan segala potensi serta modalitas belajar pada diri siswa sehingga berakibat pada masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas pembelajaran matematika antara siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan SAVI dan siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Saintifik ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Adapun bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah True Experimental Design dengan jenis Postest-Only Control Design. Dimana satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu sebagai kelas kontrol yang telah dipilih secara acak (Random). Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII C MTs Negeri 4 Kulon Progo, dan sampelnya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII A dan VII B. Kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan SAVI dan kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberikan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan Saintifik. Metode pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah independent sample t-test (uji-t). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan SAVI dibandingan dengan pendekatan Saintifik berdasarkan hasil uji-t dua pihak diperoleh 2,754548165. Hasil dari penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran matematika siswa dengan pendekatan SAVI lebih tinggi dari pada siswa dengan pendekatan Saintifik berdasar hasil belajar siswa, karena berdasarkan hasil uji-t satu pihak diperoleh 2,754548165 dan 1,68257 yang berarti bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan SAVI lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Saintifik ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 4 Kulon Progo.

Abstract

This research is implementable because of the low intellectual ability and communication of the students in learning mathematics. The objective of this research is to try to increase the intellectual ability and communication of VII grade students in semester II of SMP Negeri 2 Binangun Cilacap in the academic year 2015/2016 using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method. This research is a Classroom Action Research which consists of two-cycle, where each cycle consists of two meetings. The subject of this research is the students of VII B in the second semester of SMP Negeri 2 Binangun Cilacap in the academic year 2015/2016 which consists, 32 students, there are 16 male students and 16 female students. The object of this research is the intellectual ability and communication using the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning process. The data accumulation technic used observation, interview, test, triangulation, documentation, and field notes. The data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the research showed that the mathematics learning using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method was able to increase the intellectual ability and communication of VII grade students in semester II of SMP Negeri 2 Binangun Cilacap. The result of the observation assessment sheet in cycle I the percentage of intellectual ability belonged to the good category (67,88%) and the percentage of communication ability belonged to the fair category (58,59%). In cycle II, the percentage of the intellectual ability belonged to a very good category (87,97%) and the percentage of the communication ability was belonged good category (75,78%).

Abstract

Based on the observations at the time at SMP Muhammadiyah Depok Sleman Regency, the anxiety of facing the students ‘mathematics subjects is still high. This can be seen from the students’ attitude that is restless, afraid, worried, anxious, nervous, tense when told that there will be a daily test, pretest And posttest math lessons, as well as some poor parental concerns that are based on some parents who not come to school to take care of education issues. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a significant relationship between the anxiety of facing mathematics students and attention of parents of VIII class at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok Sleman Semester Even semester In Academic Year 2016/2017. This study population is all the student's VIII Class of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Depok semester of academic year 2016/2017. It is taken in VIII B Class as the sample of research class with a random sampling technique to the class. Data collection techniques in the form of test techniques and questionnaires. The research instrument test uses validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Test prerequisite analysis includes a normality test, independent test, linearity test. Analysis of data for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis.  The results showed that there was no negative and significant relationship between anxiety facing mathematics subjects with mathematics learning result, with r = -0,0081, there is a positive and significant correlation between the attention of parents with the results of learning mathematics, with r = 0,6093, and there is a significant relationship between the anxiety of facing mathematics subjects and the attention of parents with the results of learning mathematics, with so that . Relative contribution of X1 = , X2 = 99,746%, and effective contribution X1 = %, X2 = %. This indicates that the attention of parents (X2) has a greater relationship with mathematics learning outcomes than with anxiety facing Mathematics subjects (X1) with mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, students' attitudes on a math lesson, and learning lines to mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in 2016/2017, consisting of class VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, totaling 162 students. Class VIII E was selected as a class of research sample with a random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect students' attitudes on math lessons and learning lines. The test method to get numerical ability data and math is resulting in learning. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, students' attitudes on a math lesson, and learning lines with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2016/2017. Abstract

Heuristic strategy is one of the mathematics problem solving strategies to gain effective results. This research aimed to analyze the use of the heuristic strategies based on the modification of the Krulik and Rudnik model. This research discovered and classified the students' heuristic strategies which can be used as a basis to provide assistance in the learning. This research was a qualitative research involving 32 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta as its subjects. The research variables are the indicators of the Krulik and Rudnik heuristic models which the students performed including: read and think, explore and plan, select a strategy, find and answer, as well as reflect and extend. The data was taken through questionnaire and interview methods. The result suggested that: 2 students (6.25%) were in the good category as they did all of the heuristic strategies more often; 21 students (65.62%) were in the fair category since they implemented some indicators of the heuristic strategies; and 9 students (28.13%) were in the poor category since they were lack in implementing the heuristic strategies. In all categories, indicator of find and answer was more oftenly done by the students while the indicator of explore and plan was less done.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret fenomena yang ada dengan menganalisis penggunaan media video khususnya di dalam pembelajaran IPA materi Sumber Energi di SD Negeri Pucung. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Pucung. Instrrumen dalam penelitian yaitu angket jenis skala likert. Teknik analisis data yaitu teknik analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian terkait dengan penggunaan media video yang telah diterapkan pada mata pelajaran IPA materi Sumber Enegri di kelas IV SD Negeri Pucung tampak dapat menumbuhkan perhatian dan menambah kemudahan siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran IPA. Media video disajikan menarik dengan tambahan audio dan visual yang menarik sesuai dengan materi yang akan diajarkan. Penggunaan media video dalam pelajaran IPA mendapat respon positif dari siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Pucung.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang kurang bermakna menyebabkan siswa tidak memahami materi yang dipelajari. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang kurang memanfaatkan model pembelajaran menyebabkan pembelajaran monoton. Salah satu yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran yang tepat supaya pembelajaran semakin bermakna. Mengembangkan literasi sains pada diri individu tidak hanya melatih supaya mampu membaca, namun individu juga belajar untuk memahami isi bacaan. Hasil belajar adalah perubahan yang terjadi pada individu yang meliputi ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik (tidak hanya satu aspek potensi saja). Penelitian ini tertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains dan hasil belajar melalui model pembelajaran inquiry terbimbing. Jenis penelitian ini ada Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Solodiran dengan subjek 26 siswa kelas V. Hasil pra-tindakan siswa yang memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan sebesar 38,47%. Sedangkan setelah dilaksanakan siklus I siswa yang memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan sebesar 65,38%. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan pra-tindakan ke siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 26,91%. Setelah pelaksanaan siklus I dilanjutkan dengan refleksi. Beberapa kekurangan akan dipenuhi pada siklus II. Pada siklus II siswa yang memenuhi kreteria ketuntasan sebesar 73,08%. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 7,7%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry terbimbing mampu meningkatkan literasi sains dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V.
