Abstract

Natural ecosystems have an important role in various aspects of human life, either directly or indirectly.However, natural ecosystems are often considered less valuable because the ecosystem services providedlargely public goods that do not have a clear market price. Currently, There are a serious threat to naturalecosystems, especially in urban areas caused by growth in both population size, consumption, and humanactivities. The assessment of environmental services is very important in the process of formulating publicpolicy in order to realize sustainable development because in previous studies it is known that theseenvironmental services contribute significantly to the welfare of the community. In this paper, several previousnational and international literature and research studies have been used to establish a theoretical frameworkfor the identification of ecosystem services in urban areas and their role in the process of urban dan publicpolicy planning. Identification of urban ecosystem services focuses on crops and trees on road corridors, urbanparks, urban forests, cultivated land or yard, water bodies (rivers and lakes), and wetlands.

Abstract

Curah hujan di wilayah Indonesia yang cukup tinggi, yaitu 2.000 - 4.000 mm/tahun berpotensi menjadi salah satu alternatif sumber air bersih. Belum adanya pengelolaan air hujan yang memadai di sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia, mengakibatkan peningkatan frekuensi banjir pada musim hujan dan ancaman kekurangan air atau kekeringan pada musim kemarau. Di sisi lain dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk, kebutuhan air bersih terus meningkat. Diperkirakan pemanfaatan air tanah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penduduk sebesar 100 liter/ orang/hari. Pemanfaatan air tanah yang berlebihan akan menimbulkan dampak negatif antara lain: intrusi air laut, penurunan muka air tanah, amblesan tanah (land subsidence) yang menyebabkan genangan banjir dimusim penghujan. Sementara itu alih fungsi lahan pada daerah resapan akan semakin mengancam ketersediaan air tanah akibat berkurangnya resapan air hujan. Pemanenan air hujan bukan merupakan sesuatu hal yang baru dalam peradaban manusia. Upaya pemanenan air hujan ini merupakan salah satu upaya konservasi untuk menjaga kecukupan suplai air di daerah perkotaan. Sekolah sebagai salah satu diantara infrastruktur yang besar dan tersebar di suatu wilayah memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dijadikan salah satu sarana pemanenan air hujan. Kegiatan pemanenan air hujan juga dapat dijadikan salah satu sarana edukasi dalam rangka konservasi sumber daya air di sekolah.

Abstract

Climate Change is one of the global issues of concern and included in the purpose of the SDGs (Action on climate change). This Research aims to know the potential achievement of the sustainability of Climate Village program in Surakarta. This Research is a literature study and observations in the field and questionnaire, interview. This research is taking location at Kampung Iklim Sekip Kadipiro, Sambirejo Kadipiro, Ngemplak Sutan Mojosongo. Kadipiro geographically, most of the region is a fairly large plateau. Kampung Iklim Sekip Kadipiro once received an award at the national level representing Surakarta municipal. Mojosongo Village is the widest urban village in Surakarta City with 5,329 Regional Areas 5,329 (Km2). Physical Condition of Topographic Village of Ngemplak Sutan Village in Mojosongo Sub-District, Jebres Sub-District is located north of Surakarta City, is a hilly area and is the highest plateau in the city of Surakarta. Based on the Geological Map of the Geohidrology Map of Surakarta, it can be seen that the northern rocks of the Mojosongo Village Office are up to Kali Kebo.Indonesia is one of the contributing countries in reducing GHG emissions by creating Program Kampung Iklim (PROKLIM) which is an environmental management activity based on community empowerment . Program Kampung Iklim is one of the efforts to adapt and mitigate climate change by citizens with friendly and environmentally sound activities. Climate Village activities provide additional income for citizens, where planting crops increases food security and reduces household spending. Waste management with 3R concept by Bank Sampah and innovative products produced by residents are able to increase additional income Kampung Iklim program has a local wisdom despite being in urban areas while maximizing the land of the House of page to plant, livestock and produce innovative local food and crafts products. The results of sustainability research are influenced by local figures, women and community roles.Implementation Kampung Iklim in Surakarta municipal has the potential for sustainability.
