Abstract

Quality service has become increasingly important in the public sector. Government services and their quality requirements are developing in response to changes in customers’ needs and expectations. The primary objective of the research was to strengthen public sector performance. It used a sustainable service view by examining professional public service as a mediating variable of service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality on sustainable service performance in Indonesia. A structured questionnaire was sent to public sector employees using a non-probability sampling method with convenience sampling. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the research hypotheses using the SmartPLS version 3.2.9. After assessing the measurement model, the results show that service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality affect sustainable service performance significantly. Furthermore, the professional public service strengthens the relationship of service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality on sustainable service performance. It also implies a novel result by demonstrating that professional public service can mediate service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality toward sustainable service performance. Although hard skills are essential for knowledge of service-oriented competence, the research findings show that soft skills, particularly socio-emotional ability, will assure the public sector’s sustainable service performance. Therefore, soft skill development is very important for enhancing socio-emotional abilities.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between the relationship between instructional videos and students' understanding of the learning material. Researchers create digital learning materials through video material (VBL), especially math in RPTRA. The researchers used correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the learning material in video form and the level of understanding of the students in the material. The method used by the researcher was to experiment with elementary-level children from various primary schools. Then, based on the experimental results, the correlation analysis test was performed to see the relationship between the student's understanding and the learning material through video. From the results of the assessment, it can be seen that the video material can help the understanding of the students and can also increase the motivation of the students in learning mathematics. Therefore, video learning can help students understand mathematics and help teachers teach mathematics in a more interesting way.

Abstract

The rapid growth of tourism sector can positively impact the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism industry. However, the performance of tourism SMEs largely depends on how many domestic and international tourists arrive in Indonesia. The research aimed to determine the effect of social capital, social media marketing, and entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of tourism SMEs in Greater Jakarta. These indicators were adapted from several previous researchers. The research applied a quantitative approach. The primary data were obtained through interviews and questionnaires from 116 tourism SMEs. Then, the research analyzed the data using a Likert scale and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equations Model (PLS-SEM). The results support the acceptance of all three hypotheses, indicating that social capital, social media marketing, and entrepreneurial orientation significantly impact the performance of SME tourism. The research suggests substantial implications for tourism businesses and policies in Greater Jakarta. Strengthening social capital is essential for SMEs by requiring networking with business partners, suppliers, and local communities. Similarly, promoting marketing through social networks and investing in content strategies, targeted advertising, and collaboration with influencers are necessary. SMEs must apply an entrepreneurial perspective by encouraging innovation, new opportunities, and adaptation. Last, the government and stakeholders must support programs and policies that stimulate the development of these elements that contribute to the growth and sustainability of the tourism sector in the region.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic nation that has a variety of difficulties when it comes to the delivery of products and services. There are a number of challenges experienced in the field of logistics in Indonesia, including poor transportation infrastructure in a number of different places. Sustainable development is a concept that aims to find a balance between people’s needs now and their ability to meet those needs in the future. The research aimed to identify and analyze the relationship between leadership and community involvement (also known as community participation or engagement) in sustainable development in the shipping industry. The research used the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) with a sample of 103 shipping companies to analyze data. The research results show that leadership positively and significantly impacts sustainable development, confirming the importance of the leader’s role in implementing sustainable practices in company operations. Meanwhile, community involvement  shows a positive but insignificant impact on sustainable development, indicating that the community needs to be reconsidered in the context of sustainable development in the shipping industry. The results also provide information for companies and leaders to strengthen sustainable development efforts by implementing more integrated policies focused on community involvement. Moreover, the research offers a chance to encourage cooperation between industrial actors and local populations. By harmonizing objectives, expectations, and actions, it is feasible to develop projects that strengthen sustainable practices within the ocean freight transportation business and promote the well-being of the communities it interacts with.
