Abstract

Background: Dengue viral infection can infect people of all ages, including infants less than 1-year-old. The Disease severity of dengue infection consists of asymptomatic infection and symptomatic infection. The symptomatic infection has varying degrees of severity: undifferentiated fever, dengue fever, DHF, and Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS). Method: The data obtained by interviewing the patients' parents for the symptoms and patients' medical records for information on the treatments and examinations.  Case: A 7 months old baby arrived at the hospital with a continuous abrupt 3 days fever, the condition is accompanied by watery stool two times a day, vomiting once a day.  Discussion: The patient arrived at the hospital with a continuous abrupt 3-day fever. The results of the physical examination showed a positive tourniquet test and palpable liver. The laboratory test results showed that the patient has thrombocytopenia, and the chest x-ray results showed that the patient has pleural effusion. Conclusions: The patient was diagnosed with DHF without shock and sent home after the patient got fluid therapy, supportive, and symptomatic treatments.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is based on the fact that happened in class V SD Negeri 001 Japura, who showed symptoms of low ability to absorb students in math. The problem of this research is "Does the application of methods drill can improve learning outcomes math class V students of SD Negeri 001 Japura District of Lirik Indragiri Hulu?" The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes math class V students through the application of methods drill in SD Negeri 001 Japura Lirik Indragiri Hulu subdistrict. This study took place in class V SD Negeri 001 Japura District of Lirik and executed April 13 until April 29th 2016, with the number of subjects as many as 20 people consisting of 11 girls and 9 boys. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Based on the results the percentage learning outcomes on the basis of the average score increased in Deuteronomy 60 Daily I became 72, with an increase of 20%. In Deuteronomy Daily II increased to 80 with an increase of 11.1%. Then of completeness individual and classical, in the first cycle the number of students who pass as many as 11 people of 55% and an incomplete 9 by 45%, in the second cycle the number of students who completed 18 of 90%, while the incomplete 2 of 10%. From these results demonstrate the applicability of the drill method can improve learning outcomes in mathematics V SDN 001 Japura District of Indragiri Hulu Lirik academic year 2015/2016.Keywords: Drill Method, Results Learning, Mathematics

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the cash flows either partially or simultaneously affect the profitability (ROA) at PT Mayora Indah Tbk 2010-2014. Research on the cash flow analysis of the effect on profitability. This type of research is a correlational study with a total sample of 10 per six months in the financial statements at PT Mayora Indah Tbk during the period 2010-2014. The process of data analysis done first is the classic assumption test before hypothesis test. Statistical method used is multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results showed that cash flow is comprised of operating cash flow, cash flow investing and financing cash flows simultaneously there is no significant effect on profitability (ROA). Partial test results show that the variable operating cash flow, cash flow investing and financing cash flow is not a significant influence on profitability (ROA).Keywords: operating cash flow, investing cash flows, financing cash flow and profitability (ROA).

Abstract

The character formation of elementary school students is a critical issue in education, especially in rural areas where the influence of local culture can play a vital role. This study aims to develop a character education module based on local wisdom to foster positive character traits among third-grade students at SD Negeri 01 Purwosari. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model Define, Design, and Develop the research focused on designing and validating a character education module that integrates local traditions, values, and folklore. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, expert validation, and limited-scale trials. The findings revealed that the character education module based on local wisdom is valid, practical, and effective in supporting students' character development. Students demonstrated significant improvement in character indicators such as religious values, honesty, empathy, politeness, and cooperation, with an N-gain score of 0,59 (moderate category). The integration of local cultural elements into the learning process not only enhanced character outcomes but also strengthened students’ cultural identity. This research concludes that the developed module has strong potential to be implemented more widely in character education practices.

Abstract

Digital transformation demands that teachers possess digital literacy competencies to create relevant and innovative learning experiences. However, in the Supervision Region IV of Comal Subdistrict, Pemalang Regency, these competencies remain low. Existing academic supervision practices are conventional and have yet to effectively address teachers' technological needs. This study aims to develop a coaching-based academic supervision model supported by digital platforms to enhance elementary school teachers’ digital literacy. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The study involved elementary school teachers as research subjects, using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation as instruments. The findings reveal that: (1) teachers require a more flexible supervision model that supports digital literacy enhancement; (2) the TIRTA coaching model supported by digital platforms (e.g., Zoom/Google Meet) was successfully designed to meet these needs; (3) the feasibility test confirmed the model's validity and practicality for implementation; and (4) the model effectively improved teacher competencies in the four pillars of digital literacy: digital skills, digital ethics, digital safety, and digital culture. This study recommends the implementation of coaching-based academic supervision supported by digital platforms as a strategic approach to developing teacher competencies in the digital era and strengthening the principal’s role as a transformational leader.

Abstract

Student well-being is a fundamental component in building a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes holistic student development. However, observations at SMP Negeri 4 Pemalang indicate that the principal’s leadership still tends to be administrative and has yet to fully embrace a transformational approach focused on enhancing student well-being. This study aims to formulate a strategic model of transformational leadership by the school principal in fostering student well-being. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings reveal that the principal has demonstrated two of the four core dimensions of transformational leadership—idealized influence and inspirational motivation—but has not yet fully developed the aspects of individualized consideration and intellectual stimulation. Quantitative data from student perception surveys show that emotional support received the lowest average score (2.9) compared to academic engagement (3.3) and learning comfort (3.2), indicating the need for a stronger psychosocial support system within the school. The study concludes that while a foundation for transformational leadership has been established, a broader strategic effort is needed—one that includes structured emotional support programs, capacity building for teachers, and active parental involvement. Such efforts are essential to realizing a school environment that not only educates but also nurtures student well-being in a sustainable and human-centered manner.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a principal leadership model based on GROW coaching assisted by SMART principles to improve teacher professionalism through the Teacher Working Group (KKG) in the Dewi Sartika Cluster, Pemalang Regency. Many teachers still face difficulties in innovative learning, technology adaptation, and implementation of the latest curriculum. In addition, principals also face challenges in developing transformative leadership and coaching skills. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a 4-D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results of the study indicate that the application of SMART-based GROW coaching can improve teacher professionalism, both in terms of competence, work motivation, and collaboration in KKG. This article provides theoretical and practical contributions in developing coaching-based educational leadership in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) in elementary schools and its influence on the development of independence in fifth-grade students. Additionally, this study identifies the supporting and hindering factors of student independence, the role of teachers, the availability of facilities and resources, as well as the influence of family support in the context of the Independent Curriculum implementation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews with principals and fifth-grade teachers from seven elementary schools in the cluster, observations of the learning process, and descriptive analysis of parent questionnaire data. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is in the early stages of positive development, with the adoption of project-based learning and differentiation. Teachers reported an increase in student independence in learning initiative and responsibility. Supporting factors for independence include school leadership, teacher training, and innovative teaching methods, while hindering factors include time and resource limitations. The role of teachers is transforming into facilitators who encourage independence through various strategies. The availability of adequate facilities and resources, although varying among schools, also plays an important role. Family support is believed to have a significant influence in strengthening student independence at home.
