Abstract

This study used quantitative approach with data collection technique using aquestionnaire. The puirpose of the study is to analyze the influence of pedagogicalcompetence, professional competence and work motivation on improving theperformance of English teachers with the status of Civil Servants of State Junior HighSchools who have been certified educators throughout Tegal Regency partially andsimultaneously. Data analysis used descriptive linear regression analysis to test R squareand hypothesis testing partially and simultaneously with the t test and F test. The resultsof the study using the t test (partial) proved that pedagogical competence, professionalcompetence and work motivation each had a positive and significant effect on improvingteacher performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan modul pembelajaran IPAS berbasis website yang diintegrasikan dengan model Think Pair Share (TPS) di Sekolah Dasar. Analisis kebutuhan ini dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan pertama analisis (Analyze) model ADDIE. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik survey dengan responden sebanyak 12 guru kelas dan 35 siswa Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Ampelgading Kabupaten Pemalang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang disebar melalui Google Forms secara online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden belum pernah menggunakan modul pembelajaran IPAS berbasis website namun sangat mendukung pengembangannya dan yakin bahwa penerapan model TPS dalam modul tersebut dapat meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan hasil belajar siswa. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya urgensi dalam pengembangan modul IPAS berbasis website dengan penerapan model TPS sebagai solusi inovatif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of discipline value internalization in religious activities of students at MI Assalafiyah, Tegal City, to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and to analyze its impact on students’ character formation. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as documentation of religious activities. The findings reveal that the internalization of discipline values is carried out through structured religious practices such as shalat dhuha, tadarus (Qur’an recitation), sholawatan, and the study of the Aqidatul Awwam text. Discipline is instilled through habituation, teacher role modeling, assigning responsibilities to students, and parental support. The main supporting factors include the consistency of activity schedules, teachers’ exemplary roles, and active family involvement. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of differences in students’ maturity levels, fatigue from routines, and the suboptimal internal awareness of discipline among students. The implementation has shown positive impacts on students’ character formation, particularly in time discipline, responsibility, independence, courtesy, and behavioral consistency both at school and at home. This study highlights that religious activities integrated into school life can serve as an effective medium for instilling character values, especially discipline, in a holistic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of e-commerce in the digital era on the consumption patterns of Pancasakti Tegal University students. The development of internet technology has given birth to e-commerce that changes the way people shop, providing easy access without restrictions on distance, time, and energy to meet daily needs. The research method uses a quantitative approach with survey techniques. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The research population is all active students of Pancasakti Tegal University totaling 6,298 students based on data from the Bureau of Academic and Student Administration (BAAK). The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a result of 98.40 which was rounded up to 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques include validity, reliability, normality, hypothesis, and t-test. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant influence of e-commerce on the consumption patterns of Pancasakti University students of Tegal. This proves that online shopping platforms in the digital era have significantly changed student consumption behavior, both in terms of frequency, type of product, and way of shopping. These findings indicate that the digitalization of commerce has become an integral part of students' lives and influences their consumption decisions substantially.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character, fostering traits like responsibility, discipline, and independence, beyond mere knowledge transfer. However, issues such as rule violations and lack of self-awareness among students highlight the need for effective character education strategies. This study aims to examine how positive discipline, a humanistic approach emphasizing self-awareness and responsibility without physical or verbal punishment, strengthens character education in high schools. Using a descriptive qualitative literature review, data were collected from journal articles, academic books, and official education reports. The findings indicate that positive discipline reduces disciplinary violations, enhances moral awareness, and creates a safe, inclusive school environment. Key supporting factors include consistent teacher practices, parental involvement, and a collaborative school culture, though challenges like punitive mindsets, time constraints, and low student awareness persist. The study concludes that positive discipline significantly enhances character education by promoting responsibility, independence, and moral integrity, offering a sustainable approach to cultivating well-rounded students. It provides practical strategies for schools to foster discipline humanely, aligning with national education goals to develop virtuous and skilled individuals, with potential to elevate character development to an excellent level.

Abstract

The Who Am I Quiz Learning Model is a learning model designed in such a way as to increase student learning activity and have implications for increasing writing skills. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning activeness and writing skills of class students. To strengthen and facilitate this study the authors used several accurate references. This study used two stages, namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. From the results of the study, the percentage value of student learning activeness in the first cycle was 56.25% in the active category and very active and increased in the second cycle, namely 93.63% in the active and very active category. While the average value of writing skills in cycle I was 66% and increased in cycle II to 76.3. Meanwhile, the percentage of completeness in the first cycle was 62.5% and increased in the second cycle to 93.75%. This improvement proves the success of descriptive text learning through the Who Am I Quiz learning model.

Abstract

The character formation of elementary school students is a critical issue in education, especially in rural areas where the influence of local culture can play a vital role. This study aims to develop a character education module based on local wisdom to foster positive character traits among third-grade students at SD Negeri 01 Purwosari. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model Define, Design, and Develop the research focused on designing and validating a character education module that integrates local traditions, values, and folklore. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, expert validation, and limited-scale trials. The findings revealed that the character education module based on local wisdom is valid, practical, and effective in supporting students' character development. Students demonstrated significant improvement in character indicators such as religious values, honesty, empathy, politeness, and cooperation, with an N-gain score of 0,59 (moderate category). The integration of local cultural elements into the learning process not only enhanced character outcomes but also strengthened students’ cultural identity. This research concludes that the developed module has strong potential to be implemented more widely in character education practices.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental aspect of shaping students’ personalities from an early age, particularly at the elementary school level. This study aims to explore the relevance and effectiveness of implementing the joyfull learning method integrated with the sabaqu for muslim kids media in strengthening students’ character values such as self-confidence, cooperation, discipline, and independence. Joyfull learning emphasizes happiness, active engagement, and a joyful classroom atmosphere as the core of the learning process, while sabaqu media is designed to internalize Islamic character values through contextual and meaningful educational games. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected library research. The findings reveal that the synergy between joyfull learning and sabaqu media creates a learning process that is not only enjoyable but also effective in holistically developing students’ character. These results offer valuable implications for teachers, curriculum developers, and educational institutions to adopt learning models that align academic, moral, and emotional aspects of students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of religious programs in shaping students’ religious character at SDIT Alam Bina Insani using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining qualitative and quantitative data from interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The findings indicate that the program aligns with the school’s vision, is supported by competent teachers and adequate facilities, is carried out systematically, and results in significant behavioral improvements. The regression analysis revealed a very strong correlation (R = 0.995) and a determination coefficient of 0.990, indicating that 99% of the variation in religious character is influenced by the implementation of the religious program. These results underscore the importance of religious programs as integral to character development in Islamic-based schools.

Abstract

Developing students' communication skills in Indonesian language learning, particularly in writing, plays a fundamental role. However, mastering specific genres of writing, such as summarizing or creating expository texts, often poses a significant challenge at the elementary school level. Conventional teaching approaches are frequently unable to arouse student interest and facilitate deep understanding, which leads to low motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes. In response to these problems, this study aims to design an Indonesian language learning module based on ChatGPT, focusing on writing skills for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri in Dabin 1, Ampelgading District. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model, limited to the "Develop" stage. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, documentation, and expert validation. The research results show that the designed module was declared "very valid" by material and media experts. Furthermore, a limited trial proved that this module successfully increased students' interest and enthusiasm for writing and received positive feedback from teachers regarding its practicality. The utilization of ChatGPT allows for more engaging, responsive, and contextual learning interactions, while also affirming its potential as an innovative alternative in Indonesian language instruction.
