Abstract

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the development of cancer from the colon or rectum. There are two kinds of surgery which are laparotomy and laparoscopy. This course of action had a significant effect on the length of stay, surgical site infection, and intraperitoneal adhesion. The purpose of this study is to find out the comparison between laparotomy and colorectal cancer laparoscopy with the length of stay, surgical site infection and intraperitoneal adhesion. The researcher used a cross sectional design. The sample for this study was taken from the medical record data of colorectal cancer patients in Dr. Kariadi Semarang from 2013 to 2018. The data were collected using purposive sampling technique. There were 57 samples that included inclusion and exclusion criteria with 28 details of laparoscopy and 29 samples of laparotomy. Numeric-scale data were tested for normality of data by Kolmogorov-Smirnov and found abnormal data using the Mann Whitney test. Nominal scale data were processed using the non-parametric Chi-Square test and it significant if p<0.05. There is a difference in length of stay and frequency of occurrence of surgical site infections and intraperitoneal adhesion between laparotomy and laparoscopy.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Darut Ngalah Pasuruan memiliki urgensi yang tinggi dalam membekali santri dengan pemahaman mendalam terhadap ajaran Islam. Bahasa Arab tidak hanya menjadi alat penting dalam memahami teks agama seperti Al-Qur'an dan Hadits, tetapi juga memperkuat identitas keislaman santri di era global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran dan manfaat pembelajaran Bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa kedua di pesantren ini. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengamati metode pembelajaran, suasana lingkungan pesantren, serta manfaat akademik dan sosial yang diperoleh santri dari penguasaan Bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan pesantren yang mendukung penggunaan aktif Bahasa Arab membantu santri menginternalisasi bahasa ini secara alami, mempercepat proses belajar, dan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi lintas budaya. Penguasaan Bahasa Arab juga membuka akses bagi santri ke literatur Islam yang lebih luas dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk studi lanjutan di institusi pendidikan Islam internasional. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Darut Ngalah memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk santri sebagai pemimpin Muslim yang kompeten dan siap menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the strategies of Pesantren Ngalah in responding to the dynamics of the digital era through the use of Ngalah Media as a means of communication and building trust in a multicultural society. A qualitative research approach was employed using a phenomenological method, with data collected through documentation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was conducted using Stephen Covey's The Speed of Trust framework, which evaluates five dimensions of trust: self-trust, relationship trust, organizational trust, market trust, and societal trust. The findings reveal that Pesantren Ngalah has implemented strategic initiatives that integrate traditional pesantren values with digital advancements responsively and adaptively. Ngalah Media is vital in fostering public trust by demonstrating institutional integrity, credibility, and capability in managing digital communication. Despite these strengths, certain areas still require improvement to ensure continued relevance and positive contribution within the rapidly evolving digital communication landscape.
