Abstract

The graveyard of Sultan Suriansyah is the graveyard of the first Banjar King who converted to Islam and helped raise Islam in the South Kalimantan. This graveyard is one of the religious tours that is crowded with people from various regions. However, not many people know the history this place has. Therefore, there was a plan to redesign the graveyard area of the Sultan Suriansyah which would preserve history and become an educational area for those who visit here. To realize the redesign of the graveyard area of the Sultan Suriansyah, a disprogramming method is used, with the application of the concept of dimensional space in the zoning that divides the area and provides space to maintain and show the history of the place to the people who visit the area.

Abstract

Vision Indonesia 2045 targets a significant economic improvement for the Indonesian nation. One of the points is to realize Indonesia as a World Class Center for Creative and Digital Economy. For this specific reason, a space is needed to develop human resources through Creative Space. Banjarbaru, is a city which is the capital of South Kalimantan, but there is a “dead” strategic zone in the center of the city. The Creative Space function can then be injected into the area as a form of area revitalization. The concept of layering is used through the superimposition method by dividing the area's functions into several layers, which are then stacked again to create a container for dynamic creative activity, as well as restoring the area's vitality value with new and diverse functions (mixed use).

Abstract

Nature tourism park is a designation for landscapes that are protected through long-term planning, sustainable use and agriculture. These precious landscapes are preserved in their current state and promoted for tourism purposes. In the Bakut Island Nature Park, there are several groups of proboscis monkeys spread across the island, which are known as their natural habitat. Currently, the proboscis monkey, which is endemic to the island of Kalimantan, has received an endangered status after experiencing a population decline caused by the loss of the proboscis monkey's natural habitat. Currently, Bakut Island is one of the natural proboscis monkey conservation locations, but there is a natural tourism park that openly shows human activity at that location. This can affect the activity of proboscis monkeys in their survival. Responding to this, it is felt necessary to redesign the TWA which uses a concept that creates a relationship between humans and proboscis monkeys without directly involving the proboscis monkeys with the concept of Camouflage Architecture which hides human activity from the proboscis monkey's view and Biophilic Architecture in efforts to heal nature.

Abstract

Libraries have an important role in society as places that support education, research, culture, access to information, as well as in maintaining and preserving cultural and intellectual heritage. Now we have entered an era of digital disruption caused by technological advances that provide easy access to search for information via the internet, but technological developments have an influence on visitors' interest in visiting libraries. One of the problems in Banjarbaru City is the lack of quality competitive human resources, such as the problem of not achieving the quality of public education according to standards, while educational support facilities such as libraries are still rarely visited. So far, the library is an unattractive place to visit because of the limited activities that can be done in the library. Efforts that can be made to increase interest in coming to the library are changing views about libraries by making libraries able to collaborate or combine activities within them by utilizing technology as support. The application of the makerspace concept in a library is effective for combining various activities or programs and can be carried out simultaneously. The collaborative space method is used as a problem solving process with the main aim of collaborative space design being to create an environment that supports various types of group activities. The concept of interactive architecture is used to support collaborative space methods so that building design can play a role in the variety of human activities accommodated in a building.

Abstract

Islamic values are applied in architecture by avoiding motifs of living creatures, yet use floral motifs and Arabic calligraphy instead. Each ornament has a specific shape and meaning. While floral ornaments in traditional Banjar architecture are well-researched, studies on Arabic calligraphy are limited due to their complexity. This research aims to reveal the forms and meanings of Arabic calligraphy in traditional Banjar architecture, especially in the Bubungan Tinggi and Gajah Baliku houses. This understanding can help preserve and pass on the art of Arabic calligraphy and its values to future generations. The research employs an interpretive qualitative analysis method. Each letter, word, sentence, and geometric pattern that makes up calligraphy is identified to understand the form of calligraphy. Visual reconstruction was performed by simplifying the calligraphy to obtain certain sentences to match with their equivalents in the Quran and Hadith. The research found that the forms of Arabic calligraphy used included Quranic verses, monotheistic statements, prayers, names of the Prophet's companions, and protective prayers. The meanings conveyed statements of Allah's oneness, belief in Prophet Muhammad, and requests for protection from Allah. All Arabic calligraphy is placed on the tawing halat, indicating the homeowner's identity and social status, thus showcasing the Islamic identity of the architecture.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Rock climbing is a sport that is not foreign in Indonesia, but Federasi Panjat Tebing Indonesia (FPTI) says that the facilities in Banjarbaru are still underdeveloped. These inadequate and unattractive facilities are the cause of the lack of public awareness of this sport even though the sport is starting to develop rapidly. Athletes who have succeeded in winning several national championships face difficulties due to the lack of proper facilities, the general public also cannot try this sport for those who are interested in it as recreation or just want to doing it as a hobby without having to join a certain organization or having to travel quite a long distance to do rock climbing on natural mountains. For this reason, a rock climbing sports center that meets the standards and is recreational is needed in Banjarbaru. The design of the rock climbing center in Banjarbaru uses Contemporary Architecture as the methods and with adaptive space concepts where the space, circulation and furnitures in the building adapts to various activities so that they can take place at the same time and increasing social interaction.

Wasaka Shooting Range designed to make athletes as main users have trained with metamorphosis concepts that prepare the athletes emotionally and cognitively. With this concept, the area is divided into three zones which is the transition, prepare, and main zone.

Abstract

The development in the automotive world is increasing every year, automotive manufacturers, especially motorcycles, compete to make and issue types and brands with the latest technology innovations. This encourages modification lovers to create and create modifications. South Kalimantan has considerable potential in the automotive field, especially custom modification workshops, the problem is the lack of complete workshops and facilities in one workshop, especially in the city of Banjarmasin. Custom modification workshop in Banjarmasin is very small in number, in addition it also has many shortcomings in terms of facilities and building characteristics. The problem solving method applied is the Metaphor Architecture method, which later the metaphorical elements will be implemented in the form and space of the building. The design concept applies the concept of a custom identity motorcycle where the results of the custom modification workshop design consist of several characteristics and characteristics of a custom motorbike.
