Abstract

By subject of the Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional, it is hoped that university student will be able to improve their teaching ability. This study aims to analyze the factors related to the effectiveness of subject of the Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional and to analyze the relationship between student characteristics, support facilities, the quantity of coaching, supervisor competence, and competence of the peer review with the effectiveness level of subject of the Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional at UT-UPBJJ Banda Aceh. The article is based on research method used was descriptive-corelational. The research populations wasall students in the FKIP-UT at UPBJJ Banda Aceh within the period of 2012.1, a number of 915 people. Determination of study the sample using Slovin formula. Total sample was 278 students. Sample withdrawal technique is stratified random sampling, a proportional sampling at 15 study groups in the province of Aceh. The data collection was carried out from May until October 2012. Hypothesis testing using the correlation test of Rank Spearman. The research results showed that the competency of supervisor and the competency of the peer review was closely related to the effectiveness level of subject matter of the Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional. Characteristics university student: the average age is 37.5 years, the average length education is 10.3 years, averaging of work experience is 6.7 years; levels of availability of support facilities is the medium category; quantity level coaching is the high category; supervisor competency levels is the medium category, levels of competence of the peer review is the low category. The recommendations can be given: (1) There needs to be training to improve the competence of supervisors. (2) UPBJJ must be establishing cooperation with the Department of Education at the district in recruiting of the peer review with appropriate qualifications and skills. Melalui mata kuliah Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional (PKP), mahasiswa diharapkan memiliki kemampuan mengajar yang semakin mantap. Tujuan penulisan artikel adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan efektivitas mata kuliah PKP; dan menganalisis hubungan karakterisitik mahasiswa, sarana dan prasarana, kuantitas pembimbingan, kompetensi supervisor, dan kompetensi teman sejawat dengan efektivitas mata kuliah PKP pada mahasiswa FKIP di UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh. Artikel didasarkan pada penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah semua mahasiswa FKIP-UT di UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh yang melakukan registrasi mata kuliah PKP untuk masa 2012.1, yaitu sebanyak 915 orang. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan slovin formula. Jumlah sampel adalah 278 mahasiswa. Teknik penarikan sampel adalah secara acak stratifikasi (Stratified Random Sampling), diambil secara proporsional pada 15 Kelompok Belajar (Pokjar) mahasiswa Universitas Terbuka di Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Oktober 2012. Pengujian hipotesis adalah dengan menggunakan analisis uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Karakteristik mahasiswa FKIP-UT di UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh, yaitu: rataan umur 37,5 tahun, rataan lama pendidikan 10,3 tahun, rataan pengalaman kerja 6,7 tahun; tingkat ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana pada kategori sedang; tingkat kuantitas pembimbingan pada kategori tinggi; tingkat kompetensi supervisor pada kategori sedang; tingkat kompetensi teman sejawat pada kategori rendah, (2) kompetensi supervisor dan kompetensi teman sejawat berhubungan signifikan dengan efektivitas mata kuliah Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan: (1) Perlu dilakukan pelatihan/pembekalan secara berkesinambungan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi supervisor mata kuliah Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional. (2) Pihak UPBJJ-UT sebaiknya merintis kerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan di kabupaten/kota dalam perekrutan teman sejawat dengan kualifikasi dan kemampuan yang sesuai.

Abstract

Face-to-face tutorial is a type of student services provided by Universitas Terbuka at each regional center. Factors which influence the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial at Banda Aceh regional center were discussed. The research method was descriptive-corelational. There were 66 tutors as respondents filled the questionnaire. Data collection was carried out from April until June 2010. In analyzing the data, correlation test of Rank Spearman was used. The results showed that (1) the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial was at medium level; (2) factors which influence the effectiveness of face-to-face tutorial were the infrastructure, the contribution of regional center and the quantity of face-to-face tutorial

Abstract

Students knowledge on system for open and distance learning (ODL) is important since the information will be useful in improving students services. This article discusses students understanding on ODL system and factors that affect it. The sample were 380 students from UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh. Data collection was carried out from May to October 2011. Correlation test of Rank Spearman was used to analyze the data. The results showed that (1) students knowledge on distance learning system was low (2) factors which influence students knowledge on ODL system were the ability in using internet, study group and information access. Pengetahuan mahasiswa UT tentang sistem belajar jarak jauh adalah hal yang menarik untuk diteliti mengingat informasi dasar tersebut dapat digunakan dalam menentukan strategi pelayanan yang paling efektif. Artikel ini membahas pemahaman mahasiswa UT Banda Aceh tentang sistem belajar jarak jauh (SBJJ). Selain itu juga dipaparkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap SBJJ. Sampel adalah 380 orang mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh. Data dikumpulkan dari bulan Mei hingga Oktober 2011. Untuk menganalisa data digunakan korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Banda Aceh tentang sistem SBJJ sangat rendah. Selain itu, kemampuan menggunakan internet, kelompok belajar, dan akses terhadap informasi berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman mahasiswa pada sistem SBJJ.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of ability to solve problems and the students were less able to think creatively, be active in the learning process. aims to describe the comparison of mathematical problem solving abilities using the PBL Model with Discovery Learning. This type of research uses factorial design. The sampling technique is probability sampling with proportionate stratified random sampling. The samples in this study were the experimental group I class V SD Negeri 11 Koto Salak using the PBL model and the experimental group II class V SD Negeri 08 Koto Salak using the Discovery Learning model, totaling 16 and 15 students respectively. The research instruments are description tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the T-test and two-way ANOVA through the normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the research results, problem solving abilities were tested and processed using the T-Test and Two-Way Anova. The results of calculating the differences in students' problem solving abilities using the PBL model with the Discovery Learning model obtained significant results 5. Based on the hypothesis results obtained significant results of 0.000, which means the results sig(0.000) <0.05. The Ha hypothesis is accepted if sig<0.05 and the Ho hypothesis is accepted if sig>0.05. Based on the results of the sig hypothesis Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in students' problem-solving abilities in learning mathematics using the PBL model with Discovery Learning. regardless of the child's initial abilities. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the ability to solve problems using the PBL model with the Discovery Learning model for Class V Elementary Schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence and work environment simultaneously on the quality of employee services at the Sabang City Port Authority Office. The type of research in this study is survey research, the research design used in this study is a correlational design to draw the influence between the independent variable (X) and the dependent variable (Y). The population in this study were all employees of the Sabang City Port Authority and Port Authority Office totaling 39 people, as well as being used as research samples. The results showed that the significance value (Sig) for the Competency variable was 0.628 and the calculated t value was 0.489 < t table (2.028) and the significance value (Sig) for the work environment variable was 0.257 and the calculated t value was -1.152 < t table (2.028). It can be concluded that there is no effect of competence and work environment on the quality of employee services at the Sabang City Port Authority Office

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the condition and function of the facilities and operational activities of PPS Kutaraja for investment in the marine and fisheries sector, measure the performance and factors that support the performance of PPS Kutaraja and formulate a management strategy for PPS Kutaraja facilities. The research was carried out at the Kutaraja Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS), Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, which took place from June to August 2022. The editor has the right to edit the abstract for reasons of clarity of the abstract conThis research uses descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach. The research parameters are conditions and facilities, factors that support performance and strategies for improving facility management at the Kutaraja Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS). The research results show that the condition of the basic, functional and supporting facilities at the Kutaraja Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS) are all in good condition. performance and factors that support performance at the Kutaraja Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS) consist of the amount of fish production, frequency of ship visits, distribution of clean water, ice and fuel. Strategy for Improving Management of Kutaraja Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) Facilities based on the results of the SWOT analysis and determining the grand strategy is in Quadrant I with the SO strategy matrix. This strategy is applied based on a very favorable situation with the opportunities and strengths it has so that it can take advantage of existing opportunitiestent.

Abstract

Purpose - Policy implementation is an important step in the policy process, but the policies that have been prepared have failed in their implementation. This study aims to find out how the process, actors who play a role, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors formulate an ideal model to be implemented in the Pringsewu Regency PMPTSP Service. Methodology - This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach using the theory of Daniel A. Mazmanian and Paul A. Sabatier 1983 with attention to the characteristics of problems, policies, and the environment to examine the implementation of policies in the PMPTSP Office of Pringsewu Regency. Findings - The results of this study state that the policy implementation process needs to be simplified, standardized procedures and aligned with the above policies, factors that support policy implementation, namely by developing and formulating policies and simplifying investment regulations starting from business sectors and priority areas, while factors that hinder implementation policies, namely changes in regulations related to investment and changes in licensing services which are very dynamic. Originality - the researcher recommends a policy implementation model as the research results found by researchers, namely the D7K model (Disruption, Communication, Consolidation, Correlation, Comparison, Collaboration, Compassion, and Control).

Abstract

The initial problem was the students' low scores on the sub-chapter material reading poetry and literacy skills. The aim of the research is to find out how the modeling the way strategy accompanied by the demonstration method influences poetry reading skills and literacy skills. The research is experimental research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. In this research, the treatment that researchers will give to the experimental class is to use modeling strategies and demonstration methods, while in the control class the use of conventional learning media. With a sample of 18 students in the experimental class at SDN 03 Batu Bulek and 17 students in the control class at SDN 14 Balai Tangah. Data collection techniques use tests and performance test questionnaires. Data analysis techniques for testing normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing, namely the t test and multivariate test to measure students' poetry reading skill level scores and literacy skills. The results of the research show that there is a difference in the influence of the modeling the way strategy accompanied by the demonstration method on poetry reading skills with conventional learning on poetry material as seen in the significant average value of poetry reading skills and the t-test results with a sig value. of 0.000; and there is also a difference in the influence of the modeling the way strategy accompanied by the demonstration method on poetry reading skills and literacy skills with conventional learning through the results of the F test with a sig value. of 0.000.
