Abstract

In order to encourage the stability of rice production, the government set a policy to implement integrated factory management (GP-PTT) and other rice intensification action included application which System of Rice Intensification (SRI). The purpose of this study is to determine farmers' perceptions of the application of SRI cultivation methods, and to determine the relationship between farmer characteristics and perceptions of the application of the SRI method. The study was conducted from October to December 2018. The study located at Gampong Cot Kareung, Indrapuri sub-district, Aceh Besar district, Aceh Province. There were 30 members of Tani Bijeh Mata Women's Group were targeted as research respondents. The basic analytics is descriptive method and the data analyzed by spearman rank correlation. The results of this study as a whole the average perceptions of farmers members of KWT Bijeh Mata conducted have a value of 3.3 by using the Likert measurement scale indicating that the level of perception is still categorized as good. There is a relationship between age characteristics and farmers' perceptions and there is a strong relationship to the characteristics of ownership status with perception. As for income characteristics, land area, education, experience and intensity of participating in agricultural training did not have a relationship with farmers' perceptions of the SRI cultivation method.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and to measure the impact of financial risks on shrimp farming in relation to post-tsunami 2004 in Aceh and shrimp diseases. Interviews using questionnaires were conducted on 47 shrimp farmers in five shrimp producing regions in Aceh Province. The risks assessments were measured in frequency of the occurence and the severity of the impacts. This study shows that financial risks due to natural disasters and diseases consisted of production and marketsaspects. The deterioration in selling prices and the increase in production costs would affect major impacts as well as having relatively high frequencies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the sociocultural values in the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data source of this research is the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo 2018. The data collection method in this research is reading, recording, and categorizing the novel Laksamana Malahayati Sang Perempuan Keumala by Endang Moerdopo. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The sociocultural values contained in this novel, namely the way of thinking, attitudes and beliefs, the way characters believe in something, social values and norms, the way of living traditions/habits that can be seen from the attitude of the character Keumala Hayati in fighting for what she wants

Abstract

Sea cucumbers are a type of marine organism with significant economic worth and potential applications as nutraceuticals. This marine organism possesses possibly useful chemicals, making it a viable alternative for the fisheries product processing businesses. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of the methanol extract of Holothuria atra in preventing the formation of calculi and its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria. Extraction was performed using the maceration method with methanol as the solvent over a period of 72 hours The analysis revealed the presence of four bioactive components in the methanol fraction: alkaloid, triterpenoids, flavonoids, and saponins. In vitro anticalculi activity was assessed by measuring the decomposition of kidney stones (Ca) using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS). The maximum decline of calcium stones was regarded at a concentration of 500 ppm of sea cucumber extract. The disc diffusion method was employed to assess the antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The inhibition zone diameter was measured at all concentrations (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%), indicating their potential as antibacterial agents. The greatest level of antibacterial effectiveness against Escherichia coli was observed at a concentration of 50%, resulting in a zone of inhibition of 1.90 mm. In contrast, the most significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus was observed at a concentration of 25%, resulting in a zone of inhibition measuring 4.50 mm.Keywords:Holothuria atraExtractMethanolAnticalculiAntibacteria
